The world around us promotes personal accomplishment as the very best of life. “ATTAIN!”, they say. Jesus promotes servanthood as the greatest accomplishment. “The greatest among you is the servant to all.” Corporate billionaires are noted as Great people in the world. The Janitor or sewer guy might be considered great by Jesus. Not to say that every janitor you meet will be a Christian, or even a God fearing man. But consider what your priorities are. Who are you holding as your hero? Consider Jesus, though being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be attained. But presented himself as a servant to all that He might become the High Priest to all. His death says something important in this “Go Get Em” world.

Personally, I’d rather be an idiot and hold everyone as better than I. Keep living with your death at the forefront of your mind. Live from the grave backward and you will do better at living for God now. Hold nothing as important other than service to your Lord Jesus and to His people.
