If

By the Grace of God in Jesus I’ve posted this blog. All I can do is plant. It is God who gives growth. To date I have a pitiful crop. And I suspect it will remain that way till I am dead. Why is that so? It is God’s to know the reason why I’ve been ignored on here and in my life. I know I had the opportunity to preach for Him and I threw it away. Others will post billions of words and get noticed. They post everything from utterly Godlessness to truly beautiful and eternal truths. Where, then, do I sit in this world?

May God be true and every man a liar. All I can do is point to the Glory of God in Christ Jesus. I wonder how Rahab felt after the fall of Jericho. She had made her living as a hooker in a city full of godless behavior. After the city was taken it says nothing more about her life and experience as she lived among the Jews. But I find it hard to believe she was accepted any more than I am. All she knew and the people of Jericho, who’s blood seeped into the ground around her, were fading into obscurity. So it is with me. All I’ve known and the people I’ve spent time with are fading into the ground. And soon I will join them in the darkness of history.

I remain connected to the Lord. But I am seperated from God’s people. God only knows what is to become of these words. But one thing is sure. I will side with God and reject the call of sleep the world cries out. Though I am absolutely unworthy to claim any righteousness or holiness, it is God who will reign forever. All men will fade away into utter darkness unless they, in their lives here, cry out to the Father of heaven through the Blood of Jesus. I rest in the mighty hand of the Lord to pluck me from the eternal fire. By Your Grace Father. I ask your mercy for such a tremendous fool such as I. And I ask you to give growth to the words in this place. Wether I see your powerful hand here or have to wait till that day, it makes little difference. It’s Your kingdom. It’s Your will. It’s Your blazing Holiness that will remain forever.

Amen

Oops!

When you get to see the face of God how will you stand? I don’t say this to condem anyone. I just ask the question. When was the last time a friend or family member asked you such a thing? When have you ever asked anyone about what they plan to do? My mom used to say she would have so many questions to ask God. But she never talked about the Bible with us. She never warned us about the coming judgment. I’m not saying that to her shame. I’m saying that as a personal experience.

If you take an honest look into yourself I wonder what you’ll find. Have you earnestly sought God’s will? I know we all seek our own will. But have we sought the will of the One who made us? Eternity will roll out before us. We will all realize the potential of having a perfect body. But we will not all experience eternity in His presence.

If the holy men in the Bible were shaken and afraid when they encountered God’s Holiness, how will sinners and godless men hope to stand? I’m a fool. I’ve done terrible things with the body God gave me. But I do find all hope and joy in Jesus. I’m not talking about religion or church. I’m talking about the actual presence of Christ Jesus in my life. “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by me”.

New Lives for Old

Curious and Curious

Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He made this place. And is the Creator of all creation. This is true. If a man builds a house we give him credit for it. If we live in that house we never forget his generous gift. And we honor him as the owner of the house. If that man feeds us also, our honor would double. If he gives us everything we need, how is it possible to honor him enough.

But where is the Creator mentioned in the mainstream blogs of the day? Where is the honor due Jesus today? Search the top stories on the net. Where is Jesus, our God, King, Savior, and Provider? Curious. What do you think He will say when all is done? What will you reply?

The Play Ground

Children laugh and play without a thought to maturity. Swings obey gravity. Parents keep a watchful eye. Dogs chase whatever’s thrown. A couple argues on a park bench a bit removed. Police cruise the streets like wasps after food. The day is long and night is silent. All things continue as though there’s no time.

But in the midst are fears and reality. Bills to pay. Stuff to learn. Things to do. Babies to feed. Crimes to solve. People to blame. Crap to buy. And bling to own. Then the sky splits and God appears.

Who was watching? Who is ready?

The Game is “Afoot”.

The Tea Party is being labeled racist by the AFLCIO. Obama and his staff are labeling Al qeada as racist. If I enter the game for a moment and consider the possibilities of a tie between the two I find a possible trend here. If we label conservatives as racist and label our number one national enemy as racist, then I can prosecute the conservatives as the number one enemy. It’s simple algebra.

The Holy word of God says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” And we also read: “Do not call conspiracy everything that these people call conspiracy; do not fear what they fear, and do not dread it.” But lets not forget who we’re fighting.

Our enemy has been around a long time. We think of other people as the enemy. But they are either serving the Lord of Glory (which means we are in danger of labeling God as our enemy), or they serve the prince of the power of air (which means we are fighting the battle of the Lord of Glory). But when it comes to the happenings in this world how do we know which is which? The world will be destroyed. God promised that and I believe it. But how will it happen? If there is to be a battle on earth and there is to be great suffering when the bowls of God’s wrath are poured out, how do I know where such things begin?

I must confess. Like anyone else, I enjoy a good mind game. But we must make room for the Lord’s wrath. Go ahead and watch the proceedings with interest. And perhaps you’re allowed to speculate what is going on in this chaos. Be careful, however, not to judge others according to your own mind.

When it all comes down, Christians will suffer. This is a sure fact. But it is our duty to suffer for the Glory of our Lord. I do not fear the insane happenings of the day. I expect them. As I lean into a strong wind so that it will not blow me over, so I will lean into the present wind of wickedness. What seems foolish may well be the plots of evil preparing to set itself against the people of Christ.
