The Play Ground

Children laugh and play without a thought to maturity. Swings obey gravity. Parents keep a watchful eye. Dogs chase whatever’s thrown. A couple argues on a park bench a bit removed. Police cruise the streets like wasps after food. The day is long and night is silent. All things continue as though there’s no time.

But in the midst are fears and reality. Bills to pay. Stuff to learn. Things to do. Babies to feed. Crimes to solve. People to blame. Crap to buy. And bling to own. Then the sky splits and God appears.

Who was watching? Who is ready?

By His Grace.
