Clarification

Often I’m asked if what I posted is targeted at any one person.  The answer is an absolute NO.  There will always be mirror problems in my life that might apply to someone else.  But how is my experience any different than others?  If I say, ‘Hey, you got eyes’.  That is probably going to apply to a whole lot of humans and animals.  If I say ‘you bug me’ or ‘I love you’, that will apply to an equal amount of humans and animals.  I am just like you.  Why should I judge you?  It is to God through Jesus the Christ that we all answer.

The truth Jesus left us and is leaving us through His people remains.  It is not pointed at any one person.  It is pointed at us all.  We all stand condemned under the Law of God.  We only find safety by submitting ourselves to the sacrifice and will of Jesus.  If what I post seems to penetrate into your soul and you look at me to blame for it, you do wrong.  What the truth reveals about us is for all of us.  You can attack me or feel like I attacked you if you want to.  But if you waste your time on me you miss the Grace of God which calls us all to obedience.

You can consider me a wild doomsayer if you want to.  What is that to me?  I was rejected by humanity from the day I was born.  Look to God.  He is the One to whom we must give account.  And all will bow the knee to Jesus and confess that He is Lord of Lords.

By His Grace.

A promise from Jesus

32“Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven. 33But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

34“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. 35 For I have come to turn
” ‘a man against his father,
      a daughter against her mother,
   a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law –
36a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’[e]

37“Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; 38and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. 39Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

40“He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me. 41Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward. 42And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” (Matthew 10)

A call to concern

Many have said the following to me:
1. You’re too negative. Everything you talk about is danger, or the end times, or critical of the world around you.
2. You say you have no friends. But it’s no wonder.
3. You’re critical of politics. But you say you believe God has His hand on the leaders.
4. I can’t take what you say, “mellow out”.
5. I want to be your friend. But I can’t take the stress you bring to the table.
6. You’re becoming an embarasment to me. Be quiet.
I say to them:
1. America is headed, very quickly, to terrible times.
2. You will see Christians beaten, striped of possessions, imprisioned, beheaded, and killed in the streets.
3. Most people I meet are oblivious to the radical changes around them.
4. I find almost no one speaking about God, the coming judgment, the return of Christ, the call to holiness demanded of Jesus for His people, or the need to turn away from materialism (which is idolatry).
5. Most believe the current times are only another bump in the political landscape. And life goes on as before.

God is about to unleash all the judgments He has warned about. Many will die and be sent to hell. Few will be saved. Suffering, as never before, is right at the door. And people think I am too negative? If you can’t handle those words from me, and you can get away from me, what do you think will be the case when you stand naked and captive before the consuming fire of God when He speaks those same things?

People want me to speak “pretty” words and be joyful. I do not contain “pretty” words. And my joy is reserved for the moment I see the face of Jesus. I am a vessel containing a warning of violent things. The only way to silence me is that I should go away. I speak what I contain. And I will not silence those things. They have remained locked inside for your sake too long already.

There is a war afoot today. And things are about to get very wicked and violent. Now is the time to choose sides. “Do you not know that friendship with the world is to be an enemy of God”? Many are about to suffer unspeakable things, both un-believers and Christians. But the Christians will have help to endure. The others will not. Though God is love, that love is reserved for those who love Him and His ways. All else are His enemies. I am a warning and a witness to these things. I am not a good man, nor have I attained the holiness required by the Soverign Lord of Glory. I am only a stick redeemed from the fire.

Silence and complacency are not options. Jesus said this: ” If any of you want to be my followers, you must forget about yourself. You must take up your cross each day and follow me.  If you want to save your life, you will destroy it. But if you give up your life for me, you will save it.  What will you gain, if you own the whole world but destroy yourself or waste your life?  If you are ashamed of me and my message in this wicked and adulterous generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of you when he comes in his glory and in the glory of his Father and the holy angels.  .  . ”

What is the value of a life?

Billions have lived and died on this wonderous place called earth. What’s the value of one life? I’d like to bet our estimation of our own life is wrong. Some think they are precious and wonderful, such a great gift to the population. But there aren’t many of those. For the most part we all suck at being valuable. And, let’s be real, valuable is a subjective term when it’s applied to humans. After all, your mom wasn’t my mom (I can say this with a surety. My brothers and sisters don’t read my blog).

If you thought you’d find the answer to the question: “what is the value of one life” in this post. You’re mistaken. Fact is, I don’t know. God didn’t tell me. I doubt He’s told you. All I do know about it is that God considers us valuable enough to have sent His Son to die for us. What value we really are isn’t within our grasp of understanding.

But one issue plagues me about all this. We look at an ant and consider the good they do for the world. But consider what I said in that last sentence. “An Ant . . . they do”. I can’t seem to consider one ant without considering the vast horde of them. In the same way I consider the value of one life. Yet I must tell the truth. In considering myself I can’t seperate me from the vast horde of people. The very moment I consider myself I see the population of the world. Now ain’t that just curious and curious. Is a tree a single tree if it is found in a forest? Is there really such a thing as a single bacteria? When we consider a house, is there such a thing as a single nail?

By His Grace.
