Who Do You Think You Are?

America is a nation of Kings.  When they speak of poverty, they think they suffer great loss because they don’t have a big screen TV.  The car is not new enough.  The house is too small.  My sock has a hole in it.  My computer runs too slow.  “This isn’t steak”!  What we purchased is not perfect.  I want my money back!  “How dare you say that to me!  Don’t you know who I am?”  “You have no right to judge me!”  Me first.  “I’ll speak my mind.  And I don’t care what you think about it!”  “I’m a nice guy till you mess with me.”  We gather guns to . . . protect ourselves.  The best, the biggest, the brightest, they say.

Yet there is a King who remains silent for a moment more.  His hand is poised to strike and America does not notice.

As Good as it Gets?

I’ve just spend 17 hours working.   All day long I had the luxury of spending quality time with the Lord Jesus.  By the time I parked my truck I was excited to jump on the internet and see how everyone was doing.  I looked at my blog to see if anyone had parked their mouse over my gem.  A few had dropped by.  But they left no comments.  I checked the email to see what might be there.  I think I caught the butt end of an electronic spider leaving the screen.  But that was all the activity I could detect.  I went to God Rev and looked around a bit.  I found a few things of interest there that I’ll check out later.  And, finally, I clicked on face book to see what people were doing all day.

I gotta tell ya people, it’s such a let down to see such dribble come from humans.  I don’t mean to run folks down.  But having spent such a long time with the God of truth, then to listen to what people think is important, wow!  What a radical difference.  How will it be come the day of judgment when God examines every idle word we have spoken and judges us by them?  We thought we had a handle on what’s important.  How shocking it will be for the vast majority.

I’ve got my own troubles with holiness.  I’m not a saint, as some consider saints.  But I know where I’m going on that day.  How about you?  I mean, I don’t just believe (as hope believes) that I am saved.  The God who made me has confirmed it in my soul.  How about you?  When I think of my death, there’s an attitude of excitement.  To me, it’s a doorway into the presence of the One I love.  What about you?

I don’t judge you folks.  Frankly it wouldn’t matter a gnat’s nostril if I did.  But I can tell you a truth.  What most people think is important will surely follow them to the throne of God.  Be warned.  It will not go well with most folks.   I had so much joy I wanted to share.  But there was no one talking about the Lord.  I guess if I looked around a bit I might find the name Jesus being used.  But I’m afraid it wouldn’t be the Mighty Lord of Creation they were speaking about.

Does God speak to man today?

I testify that God does speak to man, and in a very personalized manner. I know, without any reservation, that the Living God is very intimate with those He has called out. But some would say, “Hey! I don’t hear God speaking to me. Not that I’d tell you, but I’d like to hear Him”. Ok. Well, you didn’t tell me. And frankly, I don’t want to know. What’s more important is that God knows. And most importantly, to you, that you do begin to hear the voice of God. How? Turn to God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength. Seek, not to become a righteous man. But seek the will of the Father in Heaven. It is God who shows men His Son.

I can say with absolute assurance: God speaks to His children. While satan speaks to his. As surely as you are reading this, you either belong to the One or the “other”. SEEK GOD IN CHRIST JESUS!

The Gift of God in Christ Jesus

Often, when I encounter non-christians on the internet and speak of the singularity of truth found in Christ, there exists an assumption that Christians are an exclusive group of people. They think we have no right to run down other “religions” as secondary to Christianity. Two things must be said about this. The first thing to be said is: “You’re right”. Christ has set us apart as a singular approach to God the Father. No one comes to the Father but through Jesus Christ His Son. The second thing that must be said about the singularity of Christians before the Father in Heaven is this: We do not own this great privilege because we chose to believe we are better than other people. We come to know God the Father through Jesus because we are taught by His Spirit, which lives in us.

It is not possible for non-christians to understand what I just said in point two. Even this statement will arouse hatred in their hearts for God’s people. Only those who have the Spirit of God within them, by the power of Christ’s sacrifice and saving power, are able to understand this concept. I can’t give you this power, it comes from God Himself. You can’t learn this power, it is from God Himself and is not available to men on their own strength. We come into this power as a gift of God in Christ Jesus.

Now, let me be very clear about where I stand in this post. There is no salvation outside of the Spirit of God. It is through Christ Jesus, alone, that salvation into eternity will be found. This is not my rule. It is the rule of God the Father. I don’t want to see anyone die. But if you don’t accept Jesus as the shield against the judgment of God, you will die.

Rage and rant all you will against Christian’s, it will do you no good in the end. When you rant and rage against us, you rant and rage against the very power of the God in which you say you believe. He has done this for us. He did not consult man when he set Jesus apart as the savior. He will not consult your words and actions in determining what is truth. He alone is truth. More over, God set Jesus apart for this role from the foundation of the world.

We know Him who calls us heavenward. We don’t assume we’re right. The Spirit of God confirms our belief. We live in the power of the Living God. What we believe is not “religion”. It is a living faith provided by God Himself.

Knowing what I do about the future of those who do not accept this truth, I am sorry for all you who won’t accept His gift. You are on the very edge of learning that what I’ve presented here is truth. How woeful will be the cry of those who heard this message and refused to submit themselves to Jesus’ authority in this life. Wether you believe me or not is of no concern to me. But it will be of great concern to you.

Father, I ask that you open the eyes of anyone who reads this entry. Help them understand that what I have written is the truth You have set in the blood of Jesus for all eternity.

Religion?

In my dreams last night, Jesus came to tell me I am flying again.  Between He and I this is an affirmation that I am walking according to His will.  We all struggle and stumble along as we walk in this world.  But He has confirmed to me, over and over again, that there is a certain way a man must walk if he desires to please God.  We can do nothing to be saved.  That work belongs exclusively to Jesus.  But when we have received His blessed forgiveness of sin, there is a walk we must perfect as we work with Him.  There are choices to be made.  And it is good if a man choses His will.

We can walk into a church on Sunday (or any other day of the week).  But the religion of the saved is not one of works for the sake of becoming saved.  The works a man of God in Christ does comes from a very close walk with the Lord of Life.  Billions are fooled into thinking that they are working for their salvation.  Even a great many “christians” are fooled in this manner.  If you do not trust Jesus with your soul and work with Him to accomplish His will, you will be horribly shocked when you meet Him face to face.

All to Jesus.  All Glory is His alone.  There is no pleasing God the Father without Him.  There is no way into heaven but to do the will of God the Father.  What is that will?  To believe on the Son of God.  To accept Jesus’ sacrifice for your life (your whole life).  And turn from sin in the power of the Cross!  Spill out your willingness to do the works of God as Jesus spilled His perfect blood for the will of His Father.  All to Jesus!!!  Without working the work of Jesus, you work in vain!!!!!!!

By His Grace.     Amen, Amen, Amen!

They did not see, though they were not blind.

During the days of any prophet you chose, can you point to an awareness of the people that God was doing something among them?  During the days of Jesus, can you point to an awareness of the masses that God was walking among them?  Other than those who were guided by God Himself, there was no awareness of the magnificance of the moment.

During these last days we look around us at a world oblivious to God’s hand.  Look at them dance with joy and drunken selfishness.  Look at the wickedness of advertisements.  Look at how people disobey every law if they think no one is looking.  Look how they hate.  And look around you.  Where is God being placed in His proper Majesty?

Isaiah said, “O Lord, your hand is lifted high and they do not see it.”  His protection of people is lacking when His hand is lifted away.  Consider the fate of those who, not only didn’t notice God’s activity, but refused even to seek Him.  If the end of man is death and then judgment, what will be the destiny of me if I do not pay attention to the call of God.  And what is the call of God?  To believe in Jesus, His Son.  And to obey through the power of the Spirit He gives me.

Jesus said something startling:  “When the Son of Man returns, will He find the faith?”  What is the faith?  It is a growing love for the ways of He who calls men out of sinfulness.  He offers all men an oportunity to learn to love Him and His ways.  Chose what you will.  The DAY is fast approaching; it is even at the very door.
