A Word of Correction to Popular Thinking.

You say to yourself, “I don’t need to get into all that God stuff”.  You will view the following words as the words of a man.  And if you respect them or not is none of my concern.  But these are words of absolute truth:

The wicked will pay for ALL their sins, both great and small.  Yet it is the wicked who call on the name of the Lord Jesus now.  If you think you will be able to sway God’s judgment because you have become a “good person”, you will be undone on that Day.  The verdict of God’s court has already proclaimed all men as unfit, evil, liars, and wicked to the very heart.  Judgment day is a day of assigning.  It is not a day of judging and there will be no arbitration.

God Unleashed

By sin I’ve kept strong hold

Of the message yet untold.

He fills my breath with wonderous things.

I’ve stifled what is Good.

And closed the Holy Hood.

And yet His message burns within.

I’ll take Your Gift of Life!

And cease my endless strife.

My hands go limp around the strap,

Behold!

My God is Now Unleashed!

AWAKE!

Awake!  Awake!  Awake!  You are about to encounter the maker of your finger prints!  When it comes, the time will show the Majesty of the God you now place second (or whatever place you give Him).  Hold up your heads, you people of the Most High God.  Our time draws close.  We are near the door!

World, you sleep in contentment.  Woe to you!  You gain every desire and moan when you are denied.  Count your foolishness in the light of the Most High God.  WAKE!  How rude will be the awakening as the Most High God enters time.

Theology.

Theology is the “God knowledge”.  Men use that term to study God as one would study a germ.  They dissect the Bible as though it were a dead frog.  But that is not what I mean by the use of that word.

Theology is a seeking after the Holiness of God.  It is not a scientific Christianity.   Seeking God is useful to all.  Scientific debate is useful for no one.  The former changes lives.  The latter tends to “puff up”.  (This post would surely ruffle the puffy feathers of those who hold their brains so dear.)

An Itty Bitty Christ?

There is a popular belief that we are suppose to be “little christs”.  And to some extent this has a strong basis in truth.  But I find something more.  In the seeking of Jesus I encounter that “something more”.

I’ve heard and seen the Church try to encourage each other to be “little christs”.  And I’ve watched that fail time after time.  I do not draw people to Jesus.  That’s the Father’s job.  Men are drawn to Jesus by His Holy Hand.  It’s my part to simply tell of what He has done for me.  I am, by no means, a “little christ”.  I am one who has received the gift of eternal life from the One who is Life.

In being the servant of the Most High God, I find myself being used.

The timid.

It is the bold who serve the Lord.  Though He will empower the timid, they do not remain timid.  Once we encounter the Lord of Life, there is a boldness which creeps into our soul.  The more we know Him, the more power we receive.  He did not give us a Spirit of timidness, but of BOLDNESS
