A canvas for My God, Jesus

This canvas belongs to the Lord Most High.  What will You write today My God?

“I am that I am.  And all that I speak is true.  What I have spoken for salvation is bound in a book of love.  Men will use, to their advantage, the things I have written.  But My people learn the difference between what is Holy and what is common.

I have purposed to draw a people to Myself who will worship Me in Spirit and in truth.  To My people I say this:  I have sought to be with you.  I have sought to build you up into a holy people for My Glory’s sake.  I have granted you life.  But you will not take what I offer.  What I hold in My hand is beyond your ability to comprehend.  Yet you do not ask.  See how ineffective and powerless you have become.  Yet My arms are open.

Come to Me and ask.  Come to Me.  Confess your weakness.  Ask and I will grant you the life you seek.  The door remains open for a season.  But I caution you.  There is a time coming when that door will shut.  I have warned you in that book of love, that there is a time approaching which will have many standing outside without hope.  Now is the day.  Today is eternity.  Seek Me while I may be found.

Strength to those who enter.  Poverty eternal to those who do not.  What will you give, on the day I call you to account, to have more opportunity to gain from Me?  I warn you afresh.”

My brothers and sisters:

The national day of prayer has come and gone.  The Lord has heard from His people.  And what is to come from that day is yet to be seen by us.  He will respond as He will respond.  And we will receive from the wisdom of our God.  I do not say this to frighten my family in Christ Jesus.  But I desire to draw our attention to the things which ARE.  Take note now.  Look about you.  For the hand of God is moving among us.  Watch with me and respond accordingly.  And if you have insight from Him, I encourage you to share with us.

We serve the Living God of all life.  This Jesus is the radiance of the Most High God.  What will be is in His Glorious hand.  And we know He who is love.  We also know He who is justice.  We will see what He has purposed for our sake.  May His perfect will be done forever.  Amen.

Peaceless Peace

The morning before dawn greeted me with a nightmare.  My belly complained to me with heart burn.  And the prospect of prayer before dawn beckoned to me.  For these reasons I left the restless place of sleep and came to seek the Lord’s face.

Knives were used against me in a dream.  It was ordered from a man that I should die.  And that man’s people hunted me down.  To my shame I tried to hide, but I was found.  I asked why.  But none of them answered with respect.  Violence covered them with dedicated violence.  And they cut at me.  In the end hatred consumed them and the final thrust of a knife was more than I was willing or able to dream.  So I woke.  The heartburn caused me no peace in my body.  And now my soul was troubled at the dream.  So I rose and came to seek the Lord’s face.

But in prayer there was no peace to be found.  No understanding came to me.  I confessed what sins I could grasp.  And my mind searched quickly through the day before to see if the Lord would shine a light on any of them as the reason for this “empty” place of prayer.  Nothing was found to separate me from His presence.  And I considered the meaning of this violent morning of peaceless turmoil.

I asked to be dressed by His Grace so that I could serve both He and man.  And I received what is true.  All good things come from God.  We are utterly empty of any means to provide what God alone holds in His Holy hand.  All things good remain in His hand.  What shall we give to purchase God’s blessings?  He will give what He will give.  And if He retains a certain peace, which we have come to expect, what shall we do to gain that which belongs to the Living God?  Who are we to demand?  It is God’s Holy Right to do as He pleases.  And with this peace has come.

It is not the peace I was looking for.  I came to seek those things He has given in the past.  But I found a place different; a peace has come which is fragile and somewhat unsure.  I had sought something deeper and more filling.  But two things came to me that I have known.  It is by faith alone that we will be saved.  Each day has its own trouble.  And I have remembered freshly that it is God who retains the right to teach as He sees fit.

May His will be done forever.  He is the Holy God of Israel.  We serve as we are given.  And all that is given comes dressed with His perfect wisdom and understanding.  Even in an unsettled emptiness I will serve Him and I will not complain.  Who am I to order the Lord to feed my perception and expectation of His perfect ways?

By His Grace.

The Prostitution of Greed

gains

For the sake of gain, you men of the world, you entice with woman.  Everywhere I look the unholy appears before me.

Is this all you have?  Is this the sum of your enticements?  Does greed cover you so completely that you would even sell your daughters for the sake of gain?

You call it innocent to offer the pictures of your female children along side advertisements meant to fill your pockets.  And the least offensive among your greedy advertisements is repulsive in itself.  You do not tell the truth to gain what can be kept, or that which is due you by just scales.  Instead you proclaim that if we look and desire what you offer, your daughters will dress the walls of our hearts with desire.

Foolishness abounds in this age of pictures.  Prostitution of family has become the accepted way to sell the things you know very well we don’t need.  But you want for yourself.  You call it competition.  And you think that you need to capture, from among men, those your wicked brother has already captured.  So you sell what should not be sold.

So be it.  Fill up, then, what is lacking in your sins.  Debase the mothers of your grandchildren.  Sell them as a token of greed.  Amass to yourself the very things you can not keep.   All the while teaching that greed is best and dedication to what is holy is non-profit.  You decide by yourselves what will be your challenge when you stand before Him naked and void of answer.

The Temporal Unhinged

As I reflect on what I have become, because the Living God has called me to dance for Him in “The way”, I see without perception.  He has granted me, and all His people, senses that yearn to grasp what man cannot perceive alone.

The things of man do not entice me anymore.  A language foreign dresses my tongue, often.  The “mind” He has granted seeks for what is unseen, unspoken, and unfelt.  I look for these things among those I meet.  I constantly look for the signs of brotherhood in a place of individualism.  I search for that unity of the Spirit of God among men.  Rarely do I find it.

All this teases, prods, and provokes, all day long and through the night.  Because I do not find what He teaches me to desire among men does not mean it is not there.  Even I restrain my tongue while I am among them.  What is revealed by the hand of God among his people is hidden from the eyes of those who do not care to ask.

If they asked I would show them this place.  But no one asks.  When they speak to me they speak of things of man.  But no one asks regarding the things of God.  I do not hold this against them.  I too once kept to the things of this world.  But now a way beyond this place attends my very soul.

The Colors of Colorless Night

Ah the night; the dawn before light.

All is still. Or is it so?

It’s man who sleeps; greed repressed.

But teaming with colors, this silhouette place.

With noises to faint to see.

The creatures of innocence move about,

While You fulfill their every need.

The bat soars by; by inches past my head.

No noise is made my ears can hear.

No man is as spry as he.

The best among us is clumsy and lame.

While this little creature roars silent through the night.

What marvelous things dance for You while we sleep.

What beauty is in Your hand.

Dogs bark at things they know nothing about.

Panic fills their bones.

All night long they warn of what is no threat.

So much like the youngest of man.

A snap appears to my listening ear.

A creature is moving near.

Which one is this who announces his presence;

All the while he strives to blend in?

Yet caught by noise he slips on by.

And all I can testify,

Is that here he was and now is there.

Another noise is made other somewhere.

I rose to pray, to seek Your face,

While my brothers relax their grip.

I did not suppose that I would find,

Color midst the colorless night.

Glory to You for You are life continually.

Sleep never covers Your eyes.

Sustain is Your name, providing life to all things.

And even the darkness does not hide.

Once again I am struck by the awesome value of God.

While we sleep He dresses what is.
