Dear Science

Because you are able to describe some phenomenon, apparently you think you’re ready to be God.  But let me be foolish please.  What Phenom,  that you are able to describe, did you create.

And since you let me be foolish please allow me to be bold.  I think it’s only reasonable to point out that you did not create language.  The reason I mention that is because that tool is what you use to describe.

Frankly sir,  I don’t see how you’re any better than someone who points at a  bird flying by.  You’ve come up with a few ideas that make life a little more interesting.  But your pride soils the very work you are doing.

It’s a Breeze!

“Believe in the name of Jesus and you will be saved”.  I can do that.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching”.  I can do that!   Friends, good words and potlucks.  Yeah, I can do that!

“Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”  Um, uh……….   ok.  I can do that.

Christianity seems simple, at first.  It seems even easy, at the start.  But a man soon learns that the Lord requires more from us than we are willing or able to provide without Him.

“Perfect.  Now He has us where He wants all His people:  living on the very edge of life.  Hanging our feet over the edge; between flesh and Spirit.  Easy?  Not likely.
