Someone points out a wickedness.  The response is often, “It’s just ………………… (fill in the excuse)”.   When we appear before Him there will be NO excuses.

You figure it’s ok to accept a certain level of depravity among us.  “After all, we’re only human”.   You fail to notice The Pure One watching and listening.

You think it unfair, even obscene that any expectation of purity be hurled at you.  “After all, we’re only human”. 

The Lord of Life should not demand or command toward us.  “After all, we’re only human”. 

If a man speaks these things to you, you take offence.  “After all, we’re only human”. 

No excuse will help you on that day.  Because you are Not “only human”.  You were created to worship The Holy One in purity of mind, soul, and intent!  You are God’s!  You do not belong to yourself or the humanity you love to hide behind!

But go ahead.  Lie and continue to lie.  Fool yourself into believing that lie until you are face to face with He who is TRUTH.

Or, you could humble yourself before Him in prayer right now.  Admit what is true.  Seek to be rid of the lies.  Ask, seek, knock and you will find.  God is not unjust, as you now believe.  He s full of mercy, patience, understanding and strength to teach.  We need only humble ourselves before Him.  By the way, His Holy name is JESUS.   You know, that name you currently hate so much.

I have said these things because they are true.  And I am not afraid, for He has promised to uphold what is His.  I am His because of the sacrifice of His Holy Son Jesus.  You can join me, if you find it pleases your heart to try.
