Such, receive the promise

When you’re invited to a feast of a king it is best to be washed and dressed appropriately.  How much more does this apply to the king of kings?

What does it mean to be dressed and washed?  We are to be washed in his blood using only his sacrifice to clean us.  And we are to be dressed in his perfect holiness.  It is not acceptable to appear in our own. Our holiness is not clean and white enough.  Didn’t you realize the Father himself will appear?

And we can be sure we are invited.  Not only because he cannot lie, but also because we share in his ministry.  Those who will attend the banquet of the Lord are doing so now.  Such men and women are busily preparing to attend.  They too are engaged in the work the Lord has accomplished.

The Lord spoke of such who do not prepare to attend, and when asked how they got in, they have nothing to respond.  He has ordered them taken out cut to pieces and assigned a place with unbelievers.

Upon hearing these things why would you not choose to prepare?  Why would you let fear over rule your desire to attend?  Those who love him, those who obey the fathers commands, those who believe and prepare, those who watch.

Such receive the promise

WOW!

23 “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full. 24. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”

24. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”

Has it ever occurred to you how blessed we are who will attend His banquet because of His mercy alone?

24. I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.’”

Children, the child like faith

1 Corinthians 14:20
“Brothers and sisters, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.”

Matthew 18: 3
“And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.”

Revelation 5: 9
“And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God persons from every tribe and language and people and nation.”

To our God belongs The Glory which surpasses the glory of all.  He is found worthy of all that is best.  And those He has cared to love will grant Him all.  His name is Jesus.  His name is resoundingly wonderful.  Who can speak the full name of God’s lovely Son?

A line in the sand

A line in the sand is drawn by all.

” this point I shall not pass”.

But time and the elements seem to move what was scratched with so little time passed.

They say “my views have been refined.  I am forced to redraw what I’ve drawn”.

Well then draw.  My friend draw, till you find what is true.

Not just what identifies you.

Such is the way among  men found acceptable.

But I find I cannot dance to that song.

I had scratched my own line in the sand long ago,

Now to truth I am forced to belong.

The line has been drawn with a stick or a finger.

But now too cold steel I must reach.

I scrape away sand all the way down to bedrock.

The line I now draw can’t be breached!

And you laugh!?

The world and those who live by the flesh will never love to see the Word of God.  What I mean is, the words of the Bible will provoke anger, greed or resentment in those who do not love Him.

I don’t say this to poke at people.  I just say this to voice a truth.  And to let folks know that I understand how my posts about God and the bible are received.  Some love them.  Most just want them to go away.  Be patient.  When I leave these posts will cease.

Another truth, along these lines, is this:  the fix is not for me to shut up.  The fix is for men to learn to love the things of God.

No one wants to be a laughed at, hated or ignored.  “No one” includes God!

Really?

He made us.  We are the result of his idea and his handiwork!  Yet we treat him like crap!  How, in the world, do you think such people will be received?

What do men do with things they create that do not work as they are expected to work?   What do men do to a violent dog who loves to kill children?  When there is something in your house that is likely to cause serious harm,  what do you do about it?

I only ask you to think about and answer this question:  If men do these things to protect what is theirs what makes you think God will not do the same to what is His?

Come on!  Let honesty penetrate!  We are all going to meet Him face to face.  Do you seriously think you don’t need to get ready?
