Pending blessings

There are blessings waiting to be delivered among men.  Which of God’s people is willing to brave the onslaught of man to deliver them?

You’re a Christian, huh?

How can it be described?  How can words express the surprise, peace, acceptance, and tears that appear when the Lord Jesus comes to touch and whisper love to us?

One moment you’re living your life.  The next moment you’re on your knees sobbing like a little child.  His touch is that powerfully packed with love.  But how can it be described?

You think you’re a Christian.  I won’t take that away from you.  In fact, you might be the very brother or sister I will live next to for eternity.   But can we talk about what can be expected by those who say they love the Lord of Life?

Have you shed tears like that?  Have you ever been in a setting and found yourself filling with appreciation about the things of God?  What did you do?  Did you shut them down lest anyone see a drop of emotion manifest itself on the outside of your body?  Or did you let it consume you, knowing that what is unseen and unheard will be visible to all and yelled from the roof tops?  But those are things of the flesh.  Those are things we can accomplish.

I’m pointing to that specific and immeasurably different experience we strive to express when we have been touched by the Lovely One.  I will restrain my fingers here.  For I was about to dive into psalm about Him.  What good would that do if you haven’t experienced His nearness yet?

Instead, I will testify that there is a touch of God in this world!  He is not distant!  “In Him we live and move and have our being.”  Our souls are dark and willingly hide from Him.  But open yourself to the Lord of Life.  Hope, dream, expect and pray that He will touch you.  He is willing.  He is simply waiting for the proper moment.  It will be a moment when you least expect it.  And He will whisper His love and understanding to you.  Tears WILL flow.

By His Grace.

Got nothing to write about?  Scared that you’ll run out of words?  Then your focus is on the things of this world.  Or, worse yet, your focus is on the things of man.

God is endless.  God is interesting.  God is vibrantly valid.  And the Son of Man, Jesus, is the very Word of God.  Want something endless and beautiful to write about?  Write about Jesus.

Maybe you don’t appreciate the Lord Jesus.  Then write as if you’re one of His enemies.  See, there’s no end to the potential regarding the Lord of Life, Jesus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Vengence of God

Leaving room for the vengeance of God can be a bit of a task.  You may be in pain or you may be lacking something you thought was yours.  So where is God?
He never moves.
Man’s expectations are like a shotgun blast.  We expect everything and get nothing.  The problem is not with God.  The problem lays sweetly nested in our greedy Hearts.
There is a response from God that we could always expect …to receive.  I would guess in matters of vengeance very few ask for it.   Fewer yet recognize it when it appears.
The following Scripture should give you a hint.
“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
The vengeance we seek might come in the Salvation of the one we blame.  How horribly disappointing for some.

The Scribe

A scribe is commissioned from heaven.  “Write down what you see without leaven.”

He’s much like the painter on canvas of white; painting from memory a dream born last night.

The scribe deftly fashions his glory filled words, striving to translate the beauty he’s heard.

His colorless palette is but black and white.  Still letter upon letter he gives the blind sight.

The glory’s not his for he has not a clue.  He has not approached any closer than you.

He thinks he is blessed but how should he know? Except that by faith to God’s throne room you go.
