“SpongeBob is a fake!”

When I write something for the Lord and the atheists appear to refute the words, I think it is rather humorous.

“Sir. If what I say is untrue, foolish, and useless things then why do you take the time to respond to me?  Do you write letters to the author of Spongebob also?  Do you stand on the street corner and cry out against false advertising?  Has it even entered your mind as to why you despise the teachings of Christ so much?

The open field

There I stood looking out over the plain.  The vast horde of those who hate the master stood before me.  Amazement?   Perhaps.  Fear? No!

I had seen it the days before.  One or two advances with blood curdling screams.  Yet their weapons do not reach me.  These vile creatures strike the Lord himself but leave me unscathed.

Where are those like me of His army?   I thought to see them here.  I envisioned that we would stand together holding hands and rejoicing.  But the vision the Lord gives me is far more real.  He has given me this place of service.  Whether another appears or not, it matters exceedingly little.

They rail against the Lord.  His mercy and desire to share has simply placed me here.  Therefore I will praise him and give Him glory all the more!  For He has placed me in an open arena where I might share and witness his strength.

We will all testify of His glory on the day we are brought together.  Though for now, we may stand alone.  Then we will laugh and enjoy great company.

Awe = God

Are you looking forward to hearing The Holy One of Israel laugh?  Perhaps you should re-think that thought.

He will laugh and scoff at those who now rail against Him and His Holy Son on the day they are all brought before Him.

It will not be pleasant for any of that bunch.  It is not possible for man to humiliate one another like a simple laugh from God will do.  Wisdom says fear Him now.  Folly will wait for the movie.

Grapes for Harvest

After reading a devotion presented by a dear sister, I found something worthy of mention.  All God’s words are worthy of mention.  But why mention what men won’t hear.  Well, hear this, my brothers of flesh.

You scamper about being important.  Im not talking to the humble of heart here.  It’s the proud I’m yellin at.  Look at you.  You look my way as if I’m less than a pile of dung.  Youre right!  It’s the Lord who is all and more.

Wanna hear what He says?  ” Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, ‘Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.’    So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.”

You think you’re powerful.  You perceive yourself as worthy of praise.  In this body, you’re nothing more than a juicy grape waiting for the harvest.

I don’t hate you.  I don’t even laugh at you.  How can one grape think it is more than another?  But you should know these things, my friend.  You should KNOW these things.

The Master

A man who is not proficient at something has to work a hundred times harder than he who has learned his craft well.

The saying is true and we all know its effect.  “I’d. Love to …  but I’m just not good at it.”  All the while, the one who has mastered it smiles inwardly.   There was once a time when he too knew nothing about the craft he has mastered.

See, we know this is true.  We admire the work of masters of their craft.  And we find ourselves looking for the masters when we need their kind of work done.

Now someone tell me why we tend to think this doesn’t apply to prayer, godliness, holiness, knowledge of God’s word, and living as solid Christian examples.

I have failed just like you.  So you can point at me and consider my failure.  But no amount of blaming will remove one ounce of truth from those words.   People can point at your failure.  But only you can reach toward mastering Christianity.  Once we have accepted what the Lord is offering, we will have become masters.

You think this is too grand a statement? Hear what Jesus said about this.   “Students are not greater than their teacher. But the student who is fully trained will become like the teacher.”  (Luke 6: 40)

Doubt my words.   But don’t doubt the words of The Master.

Necessary

It not necessary to eat.  It is not necessary to drink.  It is not necessary to live in this world at all.

But it is necessary to learn to crave God.  We have appeared here on earth because of Him.  We live because of Him.  And we are going to return to Him.  Nothing about our body is necessary without Him.

Let a man dabble in the things of the body without the Lord’s consent and that man will immerse himself in nothing necessary.   He will think he is thriving.   But what shall he say when he finds himself having returned to The One who made him?

All his life he made sure he was not necessary.   How should he be of value then?

By His Grace.
