NO!

How can I plead with you so that you will hear me?   The Sovereign Lord is Holy but you do not teach your children.  You make no room in conversation to speak about Him day and night. You value everything that is wicked what you put no price at all on the Living God.  How shall such a people escape?

There is a veil which shields perfection from the wickedness of this place.  The greedy filthy hands of godless lawless men will never grasp for what is good.  Eternal life Will escape  you as surely as righteousness does now.

A way has been woven.  Brilliant white clothing can be yours to wear.  Even now the Lord Jesus enters into the Throne Room of the Most High God on behalf of those who are his.  And with His perfect words he has promised that he will not lose one of those the Father has given him.  Come and be counted among those of promise!

Have you heard these things?   Is there the slightest crevice on the wall of your stone cold heart where such words may find a place to grow?

I look at you and do not want you to die.  But I am helpless.  The choice remains within you.  No man can save another.  The Lord stands waiting and watching.  Except and you will live.  Refuse and you will die.

You have no righteous  act that you can perform which will save you.  There is no Baubble or trinket that you can exchange for your life.  The verdict has already been rendered for those who refuse.

So, ya think you’re strong enough to mess with God?

Ezekiel chapter 28

11 The word of the Lord came to me: 12 “Son of man, take up a lament concerning the king of Tyre and say to him: ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“‘You were the seal of perfection,
    full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You were in Eden,
    the garden of God;
every precious stone adorned you:
    carnelian, chrysolite and emerald,
    topaz, onyx and jasper,
    lapis lazuli, turquoise and beryl.[b]
Your settings and mountings[c] were made of gold;
    on the day you were created they were prepared.
14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
    for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
    you walked among the fiery stones.
15 You were blameless in your ways
    from the day you were created
    till wickedness was found in you.
16 Through your widespread trade
    you were filled with violence,
    and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
    and I expelled you, guardian cherub,
    from among the fiery stones.
17 Your heart became proud
    on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
    because of your splendor.
So I threw you to the earth;
    I made a spectacle of you before kings.
18 By your many sins and dishonest trade
    you have desecrated your sanctuaries.
So I made a fire come out from you,
    and it consumed you,
and I reduced you to ashes on the ground
    in the sight of all who were watching.
19 All the nations who knew you
    are appalled at you;
you have come to a horrible end
    and will be no more.’”

Greater language

I am forced to believe that there is a language vastly  superior to that of man.  For I have found aspects of the Most High God for which I do not have the means to communicate.

But we are promised that someday we too shall speak that language.

Performing religion is not believing in God

There is an article that is being passed around in which a woman named Teresa has found a slice of fame.  I will paste the URL later.

Since I use a mobile device to run WordPress, often I cannot find a place to leave a reply.  So I will use this blog entry instead.  Perhaps all the better, it is likely to be slightly wordy.

Teresa served as a pastor in, what the writer called, the church, for many years.  I believe it may be more accurate to say she served a congregation of people.   I say that since neither the one making the report nor I know anything about the congregation of people which Teresa served.

The article sites that she had worked under her father who was also a pastor.  And the author of the article wrongly assumes that Teresa was a Christian.

Teresa never did believe in God.  Teresa believed in religion.  The difference is blatant to one who believes in God.  But I recognize that the world will not be able to make the distinction.

Religion is simply man working out his own version of God in his life.  Since Teresa went on to work in humanist communities, I assume Teresa’s religion valued benevolence.  As is a natural outcome of such a mind you find her working in that field.  But she is no more an addition to atheism than those who have been atheist for decades.

Those who “believe in” God however are an entirely different breed of critter.  The phrase “believe in” actually tends to help a great deal when discussing this matter.  The Christian will believe inside of God.

Teresa believed in religion.  And other than the name of her new found group, she did not change vocation.  What Teresa did change was the necessity for a continued lie.  And in a rather vibrant way, her choice to resign is admirable.

Likewise someone who believes in God will not deviate from that belief.  The reason will be a mystery to the world.  But it is widely and thoroughly understood by those who believe in God.

What initiates religious work is the desire of man to do good among men.  There by religious people hope that their work will please God.

But those who believe in God do so because God has chosen them himself.  Such people do not do their work from their own imagination.  They are gifted and led by God himself to accomplish God’s will.

And I will add this, though I know the world will not understand.  What God has chosen belongs to God and cannot be taken away or lost.

I am aware that this article draws many questions to mind.  And I am also aware that I may not be the one to answer them.  One may fair far better asking those questions of a man who is gifted to be a pastor or a teacher.

As I said,here is the url to the article about which I have written many words.  http://atheistassessment.wordpress.com/2013/11/06/pastor-turned-atheist-teresa-macbain-caught-in-resume-fabrication/

My tiny article is not intended to be a treatise on the subject.  I only wanted to address that there is a difference between religions and Christians.

Silence just is. Praise is golden.

Ah what a beautiful silence when sin is gone.  Every singing mouth, every sining hand, silenced.  The definition russel of sin brought to an abrupt and eternal end.

But wait!   What takes its place?  Why, that’s the sound of praise for the Lord Jesus Christ!

John 10: 14, 15

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father.”

Brothers and sisters please allow me to ask you:  is that scripture true of you?
