What does it mean to receive the Holy Spirit from the Lord Jesus?   John 20:21-23 says this:

21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive anyone’s sins, their sins are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”

Look at what the Lord connected to the receiving of the Holy Spirit!  Have you received his Holy Spirit?   What then does this passage mean?   And if we believe it to be true what effect does that have on our evangelism?  

Has anyone ever approached you in the name of the Lord, listened to your confession of sin, and forgiven you in the name of the Lord Jesus when they saw your contrite heart?  Have you ever done the same to anyone else?   Or are you like the mainstream church, “Let’s believe a few things, but let’s not get carried away”.

Pray about it.  If its true we’re missing a large boat!  And consider this, that corrupt men of power who love to walk around in flowing robes have misused this for their own personal financial gain.

Take it back!  They have no right to do what they have done.  While we have every obligation to serve the Lord in power!
