Hats

I stopped for fuel at Beaver Dam.  I went inside to get coffee and there was a state trooper  in there.

I asked him if he wanted to trade hats.  He said I would get a lot of questions if I had his.  I told him people would run away if he had mine.  We decided not to tradeimage

Last call

image

In any liquor joint there’s always a last call.  It doesn’t matter how much money you have (or don’t).  It doesn’t matter how much fun your having.  It doesn’t matter how drunk you are.  And it doesn’t matter whether you want to leave or not.  It’s the last call!

God has said there is a last call.  Ready or not here he comes.

The Culmination of All Literary Works.

image

From folly comes warnings.  Wisdom is made clearest when standing next to fools.   If it were not for fools, the world would lack 1/3 its literary works.

From anguish comes exquisite melody.  As if one squeezes fruit for its sweet nectar.   If it were not for anguish the world would lack 1/3 of its literary  works.

From death comes the deepest of introspection.  Because of death, horrible sufferings are endured, and men garner inspiration.  If it were not for death the world would lack 1/3 of its literary works.

God has written the outline of His Son’s Glory.  Every story, song, and experience will contain that outline.  The obedience of Jesus fulfilled the entirety of all the literary works of man.  The story finds completion in God’s Holy Son.

Get Keyed!

The door knob without a lock can be openned by anyone.  That means anything can get in anytime.   Why have a door at all?

Lock your soul for the Lord.  Ask before opening.   Be selective of what’s inside and you’ll fair far better.

Picasso Christianity

image

It’s better to stagger into Heaven, bouncing your bruised butt on the rocks of “The Way”, than to live in lavish peace of mind.  The first is keenly aware of the urgency of the Gospel.  The second leaves all that “stuff” to the holy folk.

Beware sleep!  Dreams may have kinship to reality,  but the reality of dreams is more like a Picasso painting.  Wake up!  He’s about to split the heavens!
