Wobble Foot

Walking along

And reading his Bible,

The Christian bobbled

Off the path.

The rebuke was very

Soft and warm,

Not at all

A word of Wrath.

A gentle kiss

Upon his cheek.

Drawing him back

To the narrow path

Was the One whom

Good men seek.
————-
Just a bobble,

And that’s so true,

By a well intentioned soul.

But let us strain

To watch our feet,

Lest we miss

The greater goal.

Proper Conversation

I am forced to

Think again

The value of

Earth’s discourse.

Which is greater,

The three dimension,

Or heaven which spreads,

In all direction?

Although it’s fun to

Play the game,

Where logic’s

Lite and breezy.

Better to bear the

Hard light torch,

That sets men’s

Bellies queasy.

So back again to

The work at hand.

No time to

Waste round here.

To speak of

Jesus Christ the King,

Bringing heaven so

Very near.

Faithful Perceptions

So many things to touch and see.

So many things lay out of reach.

The fingers of men will grasp and twist.

But they can never touch what’s His.

Why do you fear, O little flock?

Do you fear the hands of men?

Where are your treasures laid up in stock?

On earth or bound in heaven?

Pax America

I’ve been wondering this afternoon if anyone in Rome could have foreseen the horrors that would mark the end of that rule.

Pax Romana, was basically a peace, among the civilized Roman Empire, that was established by a bloody force and brutal punishments.  Yet they were human beings just like us.  The difference between America and the Roman Empire can be found in the Judeo-Christian moral ethics.

Some would say no, the early founders of philosophy established the moral rule we use today.  Can you explain then why Rome did not establish its empire on those thinkers, who came before Rome?

Regardless, the debate as to the origin of moral rule is not the point.  The point is that these brutal rulers were human beings just like us.  Again the only difference between us is the Christian set of values that established this country.

Do I need to make mention that the Christian values which established this country are quickly dissipating?  In its place is what is becoming Pax America.

No, I’m not going to try to establish how America will fall.  But I will take time to point to the brutal enemy that waits across the sea.  And I will point out that there is a friendship between the leadership of America and this brutal people.

I wonder if in Rome anyone could foresee the horrible atrocities that would mark the end of the Roman Empire?

Destructive Chemical

I learn something useful from the era of the Vietnam War.  Agent Orange was used to strip all the leaves in the rainforest.  It exposed the enemy within.

Nowadays they use a different agent.  Its color is green.  Its called politically correct.

Agent Orange killed off the usefulness of the rainforest.  Political correctness has denuded humanity of its useful ingredients.

The enemy within has been exposed.  And it’s only a matter of time before the trees are cut down.

The Living Promise

Ceaseless praise comes from my heart,

The place that was so vile.

The dog returns to what was his,

So was my wandering style.

But God has made a lovely place.

A place He calls His own.

And He will lead me to a place,

That I have never known.
