Vivacious Abandonment

We are in the days of vivacious abandonment.

(vivacious
[vi-vey-shuh s, vahy-]
adjective
1.
lively; animated; gay:)

What is man abandoning so happily?

God
Purity
Mercy
Righteousness
Peace
Prayer
Holiness
The Bible
Humility
Holy suffering
Christ Jesus
Eternal life
Pure judgment
Justice
Restraint
Holy speech
Propriety
Godly love
Patience
Endurance

Here’s the sad part:
It is impossible for Man to be empty.  If he is not filled with God, he will be filled with everything that is not God.  If we give the Living God’s Christ no place among us, the ambassadors of death move in.

Look around.  Do yourself a favor.  Ask what day it is.

From dawn to Dawn

Sleep is but an irritation,

When eternity stand so close.

It’s when I move away from Him

That I love my sleep the most.

Then let me be tired and discomposed.

Let Him solely be my strength.

Then, I shall rise and do my work,

Till eternity shows its length.

From the dawn to The Dawn;

The place my Lord adored!

Let my back to perceive the darkness,

Let my soul on Him be moored!

I’ve only “now” to do His work,

None “other” will time allow;

The place to set my feeble hands,

Holding tightly to His plow.

Come reap what lovely things are Yours,

Your Holy hand has sown.

Make straight the furrow

And dig it deep.

Bring Glory to Your Throne.

The 21st Century Decline #115 By: MICHÆL T. COE

Words never cease to amaze me. One man needs 12,000 pages to say the same thing as another who speaks in 10 words. Yet God invented words. It’s no wonder we can read the same passage in the Bible a thousand times, and come away with different understanding every single time.

Well-spoken, Michael.

But even while I praise the words, the picture they paint is the saddest possible epitaph! You won’t find that written on the proud headstones of Man. But between the face of the stone and the aether that is eternity, that proclamation rings loudly.

How will they respond; these people who are so “rich”? Yet a response they will give; forced by truth to speak!

Polycarp

It is good to remember, we have not received Christianity as if from a cracked egg 30 years ago.  The blood of hundreds of thousands delivered the message to us.

It is our turn.  Will we be found having delivered The Faith?

Where’s the Beef?

(The title of this post comes from a commercial, made some time ago.  You can find it here. https://youtu.be/Ug75diEyiA0

The point of the commercial is, If you promote yourself as something you better be able to show the goods.)

If people inspected our life, would they ask, “Where’s The Christ”?  And why did I need to put the word “if” at the front of that sentence?

The Guard Dog

The dog waits on his chain, through the night, through the day.  Warnings come, bringing comfort to those who own the chain.

He is not a house dog.  He is more useful living outside the camp; outside the place of man.

His strength, to his owners, is not in his bite.  It is found in the strength of his nose and ears.  The eyes that see into the darkness find expression in his noise.  His bark is a warning.  His bark is help.  The wise owners learn to discern between the sounds of their dog’s barks.

One bark is for those things that threaten, because those things are not of “normal”.  But the other bark is intense, because of the things that are a direct threat; the approach of a stranger.

Left outside the camp, I am chained to watch.  Wrong approaches.  Wrong exists.  Wrong lives in the camp as well as outside.  But he is set to defend his charge.  He is not set to judge those he protects, but to warn of things “unnatural”.

“There is Sin!  There is Danger approaching!  The Living God has determined to crush all His unholy enemies!  He has spoken the Eternal Royalty of His Holy and Righteous Son!  All who stand without Jesus, stand alone before the Holy Judgment and Righteousness of the Living God.  Without Him is NO LIFE.  Only in His Holy Son’s Sacrifice is safety found.”

Thus the warning of the stranger is sounded.  Thus the restrained dog barks.  Let the wise understand and respond.  Let the dead hear and live.  Let the blind see.  Let the wise in the camp rise up and prepare themselves to receive the Glory of God.  For surely as death, The Holy Lord Jesus approaches.
