If someone will inherit the things of God in Christ, why wouldn’t he or she be extremely passionate about the coming promise? Even if that person’s faith is extremely small, you would think there is an unquenchable joy and yearning for the things of God’s promise.
But if that person truly believes what God has said about his people, how could they possibly resist sharing the joy?
Maybe they don’t understand what God has said. Maybe they don’t know what God has said. Both of those can be rectified by reading the New Testament.
But why would anyone who believes these things choose to live like the world lives?! How could such a joy be pushed down to silence? How could such a person have so much fun in the ridiculous and useless trivia of this world? You would think their longing for the place God promises is so intense that none of the things here give them any joy it all.
I’m trying to help everyone see. And I just don’t understand why they don’t. I don’t want to infer yucky thoughts toward people. But I’ll admit I’m running out of excuses.

Evil?
Come to think of it. Man’s definition of the word evil is also perverted. When someone says something is evil what they really mean is, it interrupts my chase for pleasure and peace. Or they might replace the word my with our.
But man defines pleasure and peace according to his own desire. He rarely considers the peace and pleasure of God.
God made us and sacrificed his only Son so that we could have what is His. But still I see us searching for what is ours.
Ironic humor alert:
Without taking what God offers we have absolutely nothing, yet we fight tooth and nail to keep it.
In a sense, we might be walking dictionaries. But we are in horrible and horrifying need of editing. Enter, the conversation of Jesus.
Words Matter
Man says he loves. But isn’t that like his use of the word good? Words matter.
There is no hatred in love at all. But Man reserves the right to hate anyone he chooses. “If it isn’t mine and I don’t agree, I do not love.” Love is not selective. Just as in good, there is no evil.
When people say they love, I’m not sure what they mean. And I’m not sure what word we could use to describe what they actually do. So for the time being I guess we have to use the word love. But I think I prefer the lower case L.
