The continuing

This morning I came across a thought worth writing.

You’ve heard about Murphy’s Law. That if it can go wrong, it will. I’ll add to that just a little bit, if it can go wrong, it already has you just don’t know it yet.

Murphy follows me around like my best friend. i’ve learned to take it on the chin and deal with the cleanup. But I realized something quite important this morning. Murphy can really mess with me if I’m not where I should be.

But then I wonder why am I not where I should be? And this is the response thought:

The first sin in my life took me off course, for where I should be is not possible anymore. If that’s true for the first one what shall be said about the millions of sins I made since the first one? How irreparably distant from where I should be do I become?

Do we need the forgiveness of God in Christ to get back to where we should be?

Something to ponder for a while.

What IS

Israel is understood; God will protect them until His time is full. So it is with the Israelites, so it is with the gentiles.

What is not noticed readily;

Ukraine.

There are the Jews, and there are the gentiles.
God is God of them both.

As God whispers in the ears of his people the Jews, so he whispers in the ears of gentiles.

The living God is God of both.
The living God is God of all. 

The monsters will be ravished by the mouse,
For this, is God’s will .

Who will stand against Him?
Who even notices?

Allow your self to be astounded.
Open your eyes.
Open your ears.
Take note before even your time is finished.

Live Sober

Let this be said for the sake of understanding. This saying holds no condemnation, only illumination.

Every time our rebellion against our savior is made public (even in the slightest manner) we become vulnerable to blame for injuring (I would be so bold as to even categorize such as murdering) hope, trust and faith of those who witness us. In short, we are throwing dirt on the gospel of Christ. It’s not possible for unbelievers to understand our failing.

Sometimes we’re just being human and making a mistake, but the effect is the same.

What is our appropriate response? Recognize this and be humbled by it. Let us not boast of our freedom in Christ.

Let us earnestly pray that no one should be blamed where we are at fault. Rather, that blessings of salvation be shed among the forest (like the leaves in the fall) of our victims. Let such ground we have stained be covered that others may be saved.

Be sober.

Trivia. What a ridiculous display honesty. But so popular among the corrupt mass of people while the King of all creation is given the silent treatment.

“Be proper. Don’t offend people by talking about God. Respect the needs of everyone to worship anything they want. Then you will be a good person. Take extreme care in how much you dig into truth – lest you find it’s main supply.”

All the while, the One whose words sustain the vile nature of man in this place are considered vulgar. These things will find no justification before His Holy throne.

It’s impossible to feel sorry for mentioning this. I wish people would at least let this truth simmer on their heart a little while. But I’m not foolish enough to think that will happen.

The Truth

Christ is God. There is no other optional religion. There is one way to eternity. There are not multiple paths to eternal life.

Billions will take offense with that. Well isn’t that why Christ was crucified? There is one God. And by the sovereign God‘s command he has placed himself utterly in Christ Jesus. He will never change his mind, for Christ is unalterably worthy.

Atheist, agnostic, those to adhere who some other form of religion, those who adhere to no religion at all, fence riding Christian, humble yourself and ask. Do not ask once and then walk away dejected. Ask continually.

“I have heard I am nothing without you. I have come to see that what they say is true. If I have one unrighteous act or thought then I am an unrighteous person. But I hear you are righteous. I hear you are compassionate. I hear you can make me whole. Please forgive my sins, giving me a life that is worth living. And teach me to trust that you will never for sake me.”

Become a seeker of God’s Holy Son. You have one life to live. Shouldn’t it be spent searching for what is unalterably true?
