Siamese Twins

Anxiety and death,

Hunkydory buddies,

Had left my house in a mess.

With all shades drawn

They carried on,

Chaotic,

And that without rest.

But I sold my house

To the Law of the Lord.

He came in like thunder!

Unceasingly under-mining,

All of the strength they had.

Bit by bit and little by little,

Their chaos the Lord did whittle.

The Siamese twins have been evicted!

Oh man, am I glad they’re gone!

Please show me dear Lord,

How to open the drapes

And put things where they belong.

The Dent

There’s a dent in my hand,

In the palm near the side.

I did not know it was there.
But to my surprise,

A glorious great joy

Has appeared!

An object was taken by prayer.

It does not impede my usefulness.

To the contrary,

Now I can work.

But I marvel at the dent,

As it is;

That mark that had gone unnoticed.

It has distinct markings

Of a well worn rope.

Well formed calluses tell the tale.

I would never have known

The dent was there,

But that He took from me

A great heavy care.

How pleased now

Is my soul to see!

To take note that He

Has sprung me

LOOSE,

To serve him faithfully!

What would you have

My dear friend,

Oh so loving,

Dear friend?

Oh I’m willing!

Employ me.

Restrained as I was,

The profit was half.

But now when I lift my arms,

They extend to equal length.

Now each

Embrace of Mercy is full.

Glory to God in the highest!
All praise to his Holy Son!

He has set millions free for his service!

And now I perceive I am one!

Repair

You knew me before I knew.

I knew you too, before I knew.

But now that I know, I don’t know how,

To show you I know what I know.

A rift, Great Rift,

Positioned betwixt us.

I put it there before I knew.

Two walls have gone up,

I’ve taken mine down.

But the rift is too great for perception.

I’ve solved the problem between us.

The problem no knowledge can fix.

I’ve taken to God for a healing,

He’ll fix what was betwixt.

I’ll see you there, my lovely friend.

We’ll dance for a million years.

A fragile heart broken,

A curse that was spoken.

Taken away!

Forever!

Loveless

They said I don’t know how to love.

Well how is that surprising?

Love is lust to men of dust,

There was no need to chide me.

Not one man here knows what love is.

That word belongs to God,

Who sent His only Son to us.

That lusting men may learn from him,

The meaning of that “Word“.

The Magnificent Tiny Man!

Oh you are successful,
You little rascal you!

By doing what no other
Tiny man on earth could do.

How amazingly strong are you!

With thumb extended,
And held way high,

You cast a shadow on your tiny little eye;

Blocking out the Sun from shining,

On the rest of all mankind!

Such is the one who determines in his heart to do only the portions of Christianity which bring him profit.
