The Birth of Rebellion

The law of God has set forth life.  The list and its sayings toward application are not far removed from Man.  But who has the constitution to seek them out?

A child is born, and there is great rejoicing.  But I fail to find the strength to rejoice with them.  For in the essence of my soul I do not see the baby.  I see the man they will force him to become.

By the time he is two, the child has already been taught and onslaught of lies.  His questions are answered by those who do not understand or seek.  Innocence is shattered by the weapons of lies.  The house in which he is raised is not purged of sharp and deadly instruments.

What a horrible creature they mark me as; that I should be so callus as to be sad at the birth of a baby.

What then do I see as I look at the volume of Man?  I see the bloody hands that rip at Jesus.  I see the shouting horde that despised the beauty of God.  I see rebellion raised as king, while the King is raised toward death.  And the lovely law of God is cast aside.

Yet I will love them all, for He has loved even me.  I will testify to the beauty of eternal perfection, though my finger has nowhere to point, that I should show them concrete evidence.

By faith I will believe and love them.  I will adore them as if they are Jerusalem, the blessing of God among the filth of Man.

With great and excellent praise for the Living God, my Lord Jesus entered Jerusalem.  Knowing what would happen, he let his heart be filled with joy to accomplish the will of His Holy Father.  And didn’t the people join him in praise?  Yet so soon following, they would demand his demise.

They had meant it for evil, that they may be rid of the Holy Testimony.  But God had determined it for good; that eternal joy and life should be offered through the very one they so willing ripped apart.

I will love the wicked with the love of God.  I will gesture to His lovely laws.  I will let this sorrow remain and will not join them.  For the bodies of women continually produce more who will rebell.

Let there be joy and innocence.  But may we strive to retain it!  I look!  I strive to see!  I study the fabric of Man!  But where is truth beside the cradle?  Instead of a blazing lamp, they leave a gilded book of lies for the child to peruse.

Yes I will love them even as my Lord loved Jerusalem.

“34 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.   35 Look, your house is left to you desolate.”  (Luke 13)

The Concept of Holy

“Holy” presents itself among the masses of men.  It has done so since the beginning of Man.  And it has no intention of turning away.  The reaction to that concept today, is the same as it was in the beginning of Man, it has not changed at all.

Present the concept of holiness to anyone, now watch their response.  If you witness the response of Man to the concept of holiness from a remote position, it could be humorous.  But there’s nothing funny about the death of a soul.

I remember when I first understood the concept of holiness.  I was in my early thirties.  I saw my own reaction and was surprised.  I had been taught, just like the rest of all people, to turn away from the concept by trying to trivialize it.  Everywhere I looked people were willing to push God into opinion.  And only a handful would even dare debate the issue.  That state of affairs has not changed.

People are willing to debate anything (Absolutely anything), “but let us leave this concept of holiness untouched”.  But I can’t, my friends.

Since I was a child, I learned that if there is something the majority of people hate, it is likely the very thing that I should investigate.  And in the process of investigation into the concept of holy, I found an unspeakable and astounding sin.  By ignoring what is holy, Man spits in the face of his Creator.  How can that possibly turn out well?

Now I look around me.  What do I see?  Sports, movies, games, relationships, sex, violence, politics, education, apparel, housing, luxury, trade, everything that a man can imagine, except holiness.

3 Day Old Mashed Potatoes

A man may follow some horrible passion that lands him in jail, yet there are always people who are willing to embrace him as a brother of flesh when he gets out.  He may commit some social taboo, in which he loses all his friends.  Yet there will be many who are willing to embrace him as a brother of flesh.

But the one who desires to have only conversations regarding God and his Holy Son, will find himself cast away like three day old mashed potatoes.  Those who are willing to embrace him, are exceedingly far between and few.

With a distinct lack of interest for the things of this world, the one who speaks of God is of no earthly value.

That’s not just conjecture.  That’s personal testimony.

But I will also testify that the friendship of Christ Jesus is more than sufficient for the one who is cast away because of his Holy name.

Predominant Religion

Where a man invest his money is where you find his religion.  Where he invests his time, there is his religion.  A man will worship those two things, and they will direct the course of his life.

What is a primary religion of the United States?  It may not be what you think.  Take a look at these rough stats.

5680 hospitals in the US.

Nearly 27,000 outpatient clinics.

Over 4 billion drug prescriptions are written every year.

Over 3 trillion dollars is spent every year on health care.

319 million population of the US.

It is estimated 320,000 attend church regularly.

That leaves three hundred eighteen million six hundred eighty thousand outside the church.

When the Son of Man returns, will he find “The Faith” on this earth?

Peace?

Let it be known, especially to my own flesh, I don’t want peace.  Everyone is speaking “Peace, Peace”!  Haven’t I learned, yes I have, that where the people gather to celebrate, an abhorrent sound of unholy desire is heard.

I want war.  I want to be embroiled in the war against wickedness within me.  I want to bring the smell of battle to every person I meet.  I want to enter the Holy War which stood active and vibrant when the Holy Son of God walked among us.

I don’t want to forget the demons that plague this unholy world’s unholy people.  I don’t want to turn my eyes from the tragedy of neglect, brought on by a useless people.  I don’t want to miss a whisper of hatred the world seethes toward the Living God’s Holy Son.

Let all this propel me into the place He desires.  Let the Holy Wisdom of God set me ablaze with understanding, according to His Holy Will and purpose.  Let the hatred of this place besiege me.  Let this excellence in desire cover me; let it not be a momentary lapse, as if a restraint.  But let me fall into the slice between heaven and earth that is called “ascending”.

I DON’T WANT PEACE!  I WANT GLORY FOR THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD!

Fear Constrains. God Releases to Boldness.

I woke to be with the Lord this morning.  In our time together, he revealed a mystery to me.  I will try to relate it as best I can.

Why are people so reluctant to grasp a fearless doing of the Gospel?  What cuts some apart to boldness, while most live out the Gospel as if in secret?

The answer is simple, they fear.

Fear of man compels most to withdraw from public displays of Holy Truth.  Desire to “profit” among men drives most into a life of subdued worship and expression of God’s Holy Will among men.

They hear what the bold disciples say.  But they also see how such bold men are treated.  They quickly weigh the prospects of shunning, and make the determination that such travail is not worth the effort.  They must make a living.  They must eat.  They must compete in this wicked world.  And a bold proclamation of the Gospel will surely diminish their chances of survival.  Men will certainly hate them and exclude them from “prosperity” among men.

But what makes the difference between those who fearlessly proclaim the Gospel, and those who believe yet hide (to whatever extent)?

Two things play within the bold.  It’s hard for me to describe which one comes first.  Perhaps they come in unison.  One provocation to boldness is the blessing of God in the way of knowledge.  God causes the bold one to understand that the way of God is absolute, true, and sustaining no matter what.   The other provocation is that the bold perceive the wickedness of man as endless chaos.  No matter what they do, man will never protect.  Man is incapable of sustaining.  Man is full, and endlessly so, with lies and empty promises.  And the riches of man, that so called  “profit”, can provide nothing eternally valuable.

It is written, “They hated me for no reason”.  The bold receive the same treatment.  Their brothers and sisters in Christ see this treatment of the bold and withdraw to secrecy.  It’s that simple.

There were only 12 Apostles.  There were only 72 that were sent out.  And of the mass of men, there are (in my personal estimation) less than 1 percent of the population that will give all to God for the sake of His Holy Son’s Honor.  And it’s quite possible that I have over estimated the number of those who are bold for Christ.

I have seen many rise up to boldness.  But I have seen very few remain bold.  Usually, when a man stands up for Christ, the world around them beats them back into submission, and quickly.  They sink back into the “profit” of man and never rise up again.   Let no one misunderstand the power of the world to destroy.  This even happens, often, to men who wear the titles of pastor, preacher, evangelist, and so on!

If you would be bold for Christ, then be bold.  But first it would be wise to learn to hate the ways of man’s “profit”.  For they will surely use it against you to drive you back into their slime.  But if you would be willing to loose all for Christ, then, by all means stand!

Who is willing to die for Christ?  Who is willing to receive the beatings that man is all too ready to dispense?  Is it you?  If not, then ask yourself, “Why do I fear”.

God will sustain the willing heart.  He will feed the wicked, why won’t he feed you?  And if they come and take all you have, what have you lost?  These sayings are readily available among  Christ’s people.  But the key to making the decision to be bold lay in a fearless belief.  Are the promises of God TRUE?
