Holy courage

He did not fear the “lion in the street” so much that he stayed home.  The tiny scroll that has been left on his table during the night was far too valuable to allow fear to rule.  And his hunger to serve outweighed his fear of shame and death.

This will be the epitaph of those who are not ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  They may be fearful.  They may stammer.  They may be timid.  But the Lord Himself has dressed their heart with courage.

By His Grace

Hey I got a bite!!

What we don’t know will bite us.  The choice is now or then.  Here they can bite our butt.  There our entire soul can be consumed.  Hmmmmm

What we don’t know can certainly bite!  The choice can’t be drawn more clear.

The Learning

We are not born to live as if removed from the sight of God.  “In Him we live and move and have our being.”

Soooooooooo,  have you considered what the entire and primary reason for life is?

The world tells us, “learn to gain”.
God says, “learn to loose”.

Have you considered the entire and primary reason for life?

The reason for faith

Little children try on their parents shoes.  We buy them toys so they can pretend to be us.

There is a day where they will cease pretending.  Responsibility will fall on them as a heavy weight.  So in all that we do for them we keep in mind the end result.

The Christian is a child of God.  The Christian does not believe as men believe in myth, fairytale legends and lies.  Like our beloved children the Christian is being taught to become someone.  The Christian is being taught to know he is loved.

There is a place where all men will see the Holiness of Jesus.  Those who do not believe their sins are forgiven will not be able to approach or stand or speak or respond with love in His presence.  But the Christian has had time to get to know the love of God.  The precious faith we hold will support us on that day.

This is the reason we are told that our faith is more precious than gold even if refined by fire.  This is the reason why christians plead and beg with non-believers that they may understand.

If you are not convinced of the love of god in Christ Jesus to forgive your sins, your sins will betray you. This is why it is said: Christianity is not a religion is a relationship.

In this we learn to know Him and we learn to love Him.  In this we learn to trust Him.  Not only that, but we are known by Him.  So that on that day we will be able to respond to his calling and direction.  He is, after all, Lord of all things.

If using more words would make this more clear I would gladly offer them.  But what can a man offer you that the holy Lord from heaven has not already offered?

The curtain

“I will not go!”  the man protested.  He scurried about being busy left then right then back.  if he could go up he would go up.  If he could go down he would go down.

All the while his silent and invisible legs move toward the curtain.  That promised curtain of certainty which is generally avoided by all men.  If it is spoken about it is usually with bravado.  All the while their soul is filled with terror at the prospect.

Facelift, new clothes, social accomplishment, proficiency and status among men.  Too often these things take precedence over the great reality of realities.

Every man must die.  Regardless our willingness to accept it, we all know a judgment is coming.  It is far better to seek terms of peace; “The surrender” is what is called for.  The sanity of truth provides what the flesh will not.

The Lord is willing to embrace any man who asks.  And in the surrender we find victory and peace.  “Forsake the folly of Lies.  I promise you life beyond the curtain.  I cannot lie and I am able to produce my promise.  Come now let us reason together.  Though your sins be like Scarlett they shall become white as wool.”

Choices

No one will enter the Kingdom of heaven without the permission of Jesus, the Son of God.  Some may think they have found another way.  But they are apparently unaware of two things.

1.  The Kingdom of heaven belongs to God the Father.

2. God the Father has given the entire Kingdom to His Holy Son, Jesus.

What “other way” can possibly be invented if The Holy Father of ALL life has chosen His son?

If you find yourself asking what it will cost “you” to get into heaven, you can’t afford it.  Re-think your options.  You don’t have any.
