The process of becoming the Christian you want to be is to stop being the Christian you presently are.

Think and choose. Remember and apply. Stop simply reacting to emotion. Stop staring at circumstances.

The Spirit of Christ does not live in the flesh. He is in heaven and from heaven.

Think Eternity. Look at Him. Listen to what you see. Don’t bother to look at your failings. Since when have they delivered you any profit?

Set your mind and your soul on Christ. You will only prosper as much as you make that your life.

The way of Christ in action (A personal reflection):

All my life people have told me I can’t do anything. I can’t explain why I’ve been singled out, I am apparently no different than any other human being. But look at the effect of naysaying.

I never did believe them, but eventually I gave up. Even accomplishing anything received no raised eyebrows. “Why bother? They say I am nothing. I will therefore become nothing.”

But this, is the way of Christ:

Do not return evil for evil, judgment for judgment, slander for slander. Accept the place you have come to live, by force of humanity or by your lack of ability.

It is impossible to not retaliate. Something will be said, something will be done against them, some self justification will be made. Man cannot perform the way of Christ without Christ himself.

Even this article could be considered a public attempt to survive. Or, as it is intended, it could be a word of encouragement to others who are treated the same way.

The answer is not vengeance.

The answer is not subtle retaliation.

The answer, as is always, is Christ Jesus. As a lamb is led to the slaughter so he did not open his mouth.

Spineless hoard!

So terrified of loss.

Vainly, they stand

For the opinions of another man’s religion.

Religion, a man’s way of pleasing his version of God.

In that respect

There are as many religions as people who have lived.

The spineless want peace.

Quite willingly,

They toss away the peace of God in Christ,

That they may be left alone

To pursue their religion of Man.

Requires hatred through defining:

“You spoke a bad word.”

“You thought a bad thought“.

“You did something vile”.

“You have transgressed our pact with one another“.

“For this, and many more, we condemn you”.

So says they who love their worthless peace.

Those who despise their brother; reveling in the demise of their neighbor.

So bright they think themselves to be.

Performing mental gymnastics;

Wielding the piercing sharpness of their wicked forked tongue.

All the while glowing with darkness in a land filled with nothing.

Indeed, go then!

Be righteous among your righteousness.

Disavow the glory of God in Christ;

You spineless worthless hoard!

Warriors with No Kingdom

The Missing Clue

There are so many who go through life without the slightest idea of why they’re here. Their best clue is to adopt some sort of higher ritual. At the height of their glory they are no more godly than a mockingbird is human.

The only reason for being here, living this life until death, is to serve the living God by allowing his holy son to become your sacrifice and master.

The world is in trouble. Everything that can be wrong is wrong. Why bother to itemize the list.

Everyone is a critic. Everyone seems to know what everyone else should do. And, by golly, they’re not afraid to speak.

What’s missing in all this wicked chaos? Why, the ANSWER is conspicuously missing.

Christ is the ANSWER. And those who know that ought to fill their mouths with repair.

Would you be brave?

Would you be useful?

Then love your fellow man by risking alienation.

Speak of Christ.

Is it time to put your hand down?

Is it time to pull in your index finger?

Is it time to deliver hope instead of accusation or worthless correction?

Armchair priests, judges and executioners. Compassionless, gutless, useless, and fragile people who think they are something simply because they had a thought.

Is it possible that keeping the words of Christ from our brothers of flesh is simply a violent retaliation dressed in the fear and embarrassment that is sure to come? “Let them all burn in hell! I’m intent on saving my own skin.”

Does the body of Christ look down on those who willingly speak the word of God for the sake of His honor and The Hope of their brothers of flesh?

I’ve only asked the questions. The answers are in your heart.
