A New Blog

When I started my blog, I remember how frustrated I was for an audience.  They were glad when I left Facebook.  I wrote far too much and far too often, about a subject too few people are interested in.

I tried forums but they seem to get me nowhere but arguments.  I joined Bible forums but found people had a limit to what they wanted to give to God.  Out of frustration I simply opened a blog here on WordPress and started writing.  Not that the frustration disappeared, but at least I wasn’t fishing for responses.

In the following years, 2 or 3 would come alongside at various times, to support the things I said.  But all told, it was a lonely and frustrating adventure.

I often wondered, and still do, why it had to be that way.  Why didn’t the Christian community either embrace me or teach me what was true?  I don’t know.  And I refuse to dwell on the answer.  It is better that I be to blame.

With all that said, I will not follow the ways I encountered from others.  I’m going to showcase a blog here.

I don’t know what the value of the content will be.  I don’t know the writer.  But I perceive there is an open heart behind the pen.  And I think it is only right to help those who strive to speak when others have shut them down.

I ask all my followers to take a look at this tiny little blog.  See if there’s something you can do to encourage the one who writes.

This world is vast and difficult.  But they will know we are of Christ in that we have love for one another.  Do we dare contradict that truth?

Take a moment and say hi at the following blog.  https://melindagunderson.wordpress.com

May God bless us with mercy and wisdom for His Holy Name’s sake.

You are Invited!

It is possible (Very possible) that someone might think to themselves, “I will wait until I am able to consider myself holy before I testify about God’s things”.  When will that be?  What sign, within yourself, are you expecting to find?

Isn’t the Lord of Life worthy of proclamation?  Isn’t the consistent nature of creation testifying about God’s Holy Son, regardless how men use it?  Dirt is still dirt, whether it covers a corpse or builds a brothel.  The stars remain in their place, though no one has embraced one with a massive hug.  Sinful men testify about what is godly every moment of their pathetic life.  Yes, the Gospel is that replete among men.  What right, then, do Christians have to hide the holy word within themselves until they receive a “certain” sign from heaven?

The testimony goes out regardless how His people keep their mouths shut.  And didn’t He testify to this when it was written, “I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

Why would you let the Glory of God emanate from what is ungodly?  Have you no respect for the One who bought your worthless soul?  Why would you relinquish your place to proclaim, knowing that the proclamation will come from those who display no godly attributes?  Have you forgotten the phrase: “I tell you, not one of those who were invited will get a taste of my banquet.”

Grip your fear and unwillingness by the adams apple.  Choke it till it gasps to proclaim.  If fear has you, then go in fear.  If you are unwilling, then drag your worthless butt there.  Proclaim or lose the honor of it.

Listen, my brothers and sisters, we dance before the King of kings.  We live before the Living God.  So what if we’re not worthy to carry holy words!  Neither are they who would so accuse us if we spoke them!

The Gospel is an offence against the pride of man.  How humble would a man be who can’t obey the will of God, yet proclaims His Honor anyway?  Wait for that “something more”, and you will be waiting far past the closing of the banquet door.

Rampant Poverty

It is true that in this world there are the poor.  It is also true that the world makes much commotion about this.  They fire one another up to eradicate poverty.  But no headway is ever accomplished.  As soon as they release one into productivity, five more take his place.

Unfortunately what is true in the world is also true in the church.  There is a poverty  that cannot be solved with the resources of this world.  And it does not dress itself in visible rags.

Those who are rich in the forgiveness of Christ often seal up their wealth as if it can be stolen.  And I find myself unable to speak of the power of God absent from display in my brothers.

While the world walks about destitute and ragged, many Christians live happy peaceful lives.  While the resources of the world are gobbled up by greed, the resources of Christ are often hidden from the masses by fear.

Does this make sense to anyone?

The world carries on great campaigns to solve a problem that will never go away.  But doesn’t the “Modern” church find itself doing the same thing?

It has become a virtually impossible task to tell the difference between the “good people” of this world and the “Modern” Christian Church.  No wonder the poverty of soul is so widely spread.

A simple question, addressed to every Christian:  “Are those who know you even aware that you are a Christian?”

I guess there is one place of solace.  Both horrific forms of poverty will find their conclusion at the Holy throne of God.

1 “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. 6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.(2 Timothy 3)

Holy Becoming

Two teams of men accomplished the securing of position yesterday.  The glory of man has become theirs.  Oregon and Ohio, have established the sum of their training.  Accolades are given.  Hopes of many rise to tumult.  And a place of decision waits to see the victor appear.

But there is an accomplishing that transcends any glory of man.  There is a “sum of training” that waits to be revealed.  Accolades for such as worship the Holy Son of God await.  But it is not a tumult of pride for those who endure into “The Faith”.  It is a Holy Noise of praise for the One who bought them.  It is a life of Holy power to become His.

The victory has been secured.  The world knows nothing of it.  They worship the accomplishments of their own hands.  But we wait for the New and Holy Song to appear from within our secured souls.

Let us train now!  Let us believe, listen, obey and become today!  Why can’t we overcome and glorify the Living God with the sum of our training?  Isn’t it because we have balked at the expectations and willingness of His Holy giving?

The victory has been secured.  What is this victory?  That the Living God cannot lie.  If He has proclaimed us as belonging to His Holy Son, then we can rightly receive His proclamation.

Rise up today!  Become, for the sake of His Glorious and Holy Name!  Then the testimony of His Righteous Son will shine within us.  Then we have no shame.  Then we have no fear.  Then we witness profusely and without ceasing.  Then we do not struggle for words.  Rather, we become His Holy Word.

Encourage yourself.  We only fail to stand because we have not believed.

The Faith of Fullness

What are you doing here?

Do you desire to desire?

Is the Love of God for doing tasks?

Or for drawing all men near?

We do and do but for what purpose, to spread the news or just perform?  As I look back on my days of religion, I find a man with the tiniest of faith.

My belief was not worth a mention, for if I tried to voice my faith, it would have amounted to nothing more than an inaudible peep.

And the fruit of my faith was the same.  A doing of things for the sake of the Gospel were done.  But for what end?  Where was the promise of the Holy One in what I did?

Those doings are long gone now.  They were done with good intention.  But there was no power of God in them.  I was like a trained monkey in a lab; doing as I was taught to gain that treat I desired.  This was my personal experience in the organized Church.

Where is the Fire borne Faith that Christ Jesus wondered about?   “. . .when the Son of Man comes, will he find [the] faith on the earth?”  (Luke 18:8)

There is a vast difference between the faith of a man and The Faith from God.   Atheists have faith that there is no God.  What good is that to them?  Christians may have faith that the words of God are true.  But do those words give birth to that “new creation” He promised?

I offer the concept for examination.   Each man or woman provides the answer.

Inspection of deeds, desire, and that certain becoming are necessary.

No one can know the severity of lack within, for no one has seen what God has prepared for those who love Him.  Comparing the two is necessary for clarity.  God alone knows how far short we have attained.  Yet who dares ask Him to show, lest they are provoked to do what they are not willing?

On the other hand, if we are willing to be shown, what glories await?

God and His Holy Christ are seamlessly woven together.  Isn’t that the desire of God for all His people?  Don’t tell me that isn’t possible.  Though I haven’t attained such a thing, I refuse to believe in anything less.  If I am fallen short of such a life, it is I who remain chained to unbelief.   If seamless Christianity is not possible, why did Jesus say this: “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

What does the word “full” mean?  By our actions we display our interpretation of the definition.  Any child can tell you what “full” means.  Why can’t adults?

Heros Succeed

Who can speak fluently of the glorious challenge that lay before for the people of God?  All that is holy is expected, and rightly so, to cover us as if we are dressed in pure light.

Discretion, willing obedience, mercy beyond the ability of man, faithfulness in prayer regardless our current understanding, and a laying down of all that is wicked, these are things placed upon us by the King of kings and Holy Lord.

He is faultless and true in all his Holy way.  And his expectations are not too much.  For he is willing to grant all that is necessary for us to achieve.  It is we who are unwilling and frail.  Yet the expectations remain.

We are ambassadors of the One who dispenses life!  It is then appropriate that our attitude match the expectations.

How many billions have tried and failed?  How very rare that one succeeds.

The world has its set of heroes; those who have met the expectations of the world and surpass them.  These are also rare indeed.  But the expectations of the world are small compared to those of God.  If only a handful meet the world’s expectations, how many less meet those of God’s?

Let us make every effort to rectify obedience.  Let us make every effort to add to our love for the Holy One of God.

We have only one day.  We are not promised beyond the sunset.  Thousands will die today, sealing what they have done.  Will it be me?  Will it be you?  Which of us can know?

Make every effort to enter in: to do, to become and to glorify the one who has purchased us by His Holy Blood.  This is the expectation of God.  And it is placed squarely on the shoulders of those who profess the name of Christ Jesus.

May God have mercy and grant glory among all his people.  May the testimony of each one of us be that God is Holy!
