Axiom #2

Worms Made Human!

David, the king of Israel, the benchmark for the people to show them a relationship with the Living God.

He saw another man’s wife bathing on a rooftop. He commanded that she should be brought to him. He did what is unspeakable before God. Then to add to his sin, he commanded that her husband should be murdered on the battlefield.

He destroyed the wife of another man. He destroyed a family. He had a husband, father, and honorable man murdered. He was consumed with his own desire, mindless of the lives of God’s people or the sure consequences. Let your mind put the story on the streets of today in America. See it for what it is.

What is the story to us? It is proof of salvation. It is proof of God’s will to impart life to the dead. In the account, David shows us who we are.

Do you feel sometimes that you were not worthy to go to prayer? Read the story and understand.

Do you feel sometimes that there is no way God can save you; you have gone too far, your sin is too great? Read the story and understand.

The salvation of any man is a miracle. That any of us can believe the promise: that God has made a place for us for eternity other than the grave. This is a vast, boundless, wondrous, and unspeakable miracle. Amazing that what is unholy should believe it has a place in what is utterly Holy.

It is God’s will that you believe this. It is God’s will that you come to him. We do not go to him because we are worthy to be received. We go to him for the sake of his honorable and righteous Holy name. Remember how he sealed his will with his own Holy blood. We go to him because we believe.

David has received eternal life. Believe and receive the same.

Hope and Help

As a child it is not difficult to find someone who believes in you.  The only difficulty is proximity.  Are those who can believe in you close enough for you to touch and receive.

But let childhood pass.  Let the people begin to notice your faults, and those who believe in you will quickly dissipate in number.  Now let the person become an adult, full of fault, like a filthy glass filled with reeking mud.  We will find no one left to believe in our potential [frankly, this is not an aberration. We simply don’t have any more potential to love] but those who require a payment of some kind.  The love we need, we have to buy.   Isn’t it said that the world loves the rich, while the pauper remains ignored; destitute of adoration.

Now we see destruction run rampant in every heart.  Woe to the rich man when his money runs out.  Woe to the poor man who cannot buy love.  And especially, woe to the man who has used his mind to be loved by so many.  For the mind will surely waste away to nothing.

You will say to me, that’s what a strong relationship is for; someone who will love you regardless your faults.  But what should you say if no such relationship comes?  And why should you hope in something that everyone knows is incredibly rare?  How many fables revolve around “true love”.

Who are you then?  You were nothing more than an empty body; hated and despised simply because you need to draw air.  Your station in love will not increase.  You will become less and less and less.  How many old folks waste away with no one left to love them?  They enter the grave poorer than they were when they were born.

Do you think this is too harsh?  How many live like that for the majority of their life?  How many become invisible even while they are here among us?

Here I must say that Christ is enough.  He can reclaim and love and make you valuable.  But even in that love, despair returns from time to time.  We find they did not love the Lord when he was here among them.  And even God has said they have hated me for no reason, he is righteous in Christ and full to overflowing with love and potential.  How much more will they despise the unrighteousness within us?

Most people come into this world greatly loved. But also, most people leave this world despised and empty.   Do not be fooled by the plenitude of beautiful stories.

I could leave it like this and most people would say amen.  And I confess that today I do not have many more words in regard to this.  But I look to my own soul to find the hope of Christ that lays for us beyond the grave.  If he has proven his love for us while we are still filthy, how much more will we know his love when he takes away our mechanism of sin forever?

To the non-Christian I say, believe and experience The Hope.  To the Christian I say remember, dig deep, struggle hard against the sorrow in your heart, remember his promise.  It is enough.  When there is nothing left, he is that part of our soul that refuses to be destroyed.

Today I do not have much strength.  I have proofed this with half my heart.  Perhaps I will come back a little while later and look it through.  But what I had to say is written here, not hard to decipher past the mistakes.

The mightiest of tidal waves. The greatest crash of destruction ever in ETERNITY, the dust of failing- desiring to cover everything. The tumult of violence reaching with all its might toward the threshold of God’s Holy throne!

Every violent thing, held in check by the will of God; “This far you shall come and no more!”

“This is my Righteous Son you have desired. At his feet is your boundary. Here, you are subdued! At the folds of his garment you shall not pass. And those who take refuge within are beyond your reach.

“This I have spoken. Says the Lord God Almighty. My will is to be done.”

The Old “New Age”

The man of the tombs was set free. The people marveled when they found him dressed and in his right mind. But do not mistake their marvel for a willingness to love. No, he spent the rest of his days in this world abandoned and despised.

When he was full of demons they tried to bind him but he broke the chains and was set free from their bonds again. But now they find him weak. Now their despising is a raging fire. Now he can receive their pent-up vengeance. Don’t bother to think they had mercy on the man.

As they realized that he had become like them, their widened eyes became squinted in anger.  Amazement quickly turned to thoughts of murder.

He was not loved when he was unlovable. They could find no strength to love him when he became sane.

But where is he now?

Despite all the world’s favorable words and intentions, they do not know what love and mercy is.

The Startling Memories

Regrets are easily pushed aside by simply dwelling on something pleasant. But I have in mind a place where pleasant things are no more. In this place, even the memory of pleasant things has been evaporated. In the brilliance of this place, hope has become an Eternal arid desert.

As I wake this morning, one or two of these regrets come to make a visit. The power of them is devastating.

Accused! I am accused and have no recourse. I am accused and I am undone. Not only do I remember them, I am forced to admit my guilt.

And I realize something more. Not only do I remember them, those to whom they were done remember them also. And the witnesses! I dare not forget the witnesses! The testimony against me is everywhere, waiting in silence. The entire world has been witness to my doings!

Then I realize something utterly astounding.

These are just two items in my soul. There are hundreds of thousands more I have forgotten. If these two can devastate my heart, how would I stand against the onslaught of things I have done?

But for the strength of the forgiveness of Christ, I am a walking dead man. Not only I. But every man who has ever lived. Our sins are a mold of guilt that covers our soul. It comes with us to the throne of God. Unseen for now, do we dare be dressed in the filthy things we have done as we stand before him to be Judged?

We need the strength of Christ. More than anything in this world, we need the strength of the forgiveness of Christ!

Every day that goes by, in which we do not take note of this and respond, is another day that adds to the mold. All the while, the moment of our appearing before the Holy Lord God Almighty does not tarry. It stands in place, where it has always been, and will not be moved!

I don’t write this to scare anyone. The fear will come on it’s own. I write this to wake as many souls as I can. Go to Christ. Accept his mercy. While you can still voluntarily do so.

Yes we have an option. Remain as you are and appear before God, naked and ashamed.
