Out of the Box

Out of the box.
Get out of the box of normal;
That crate in which your soul is being delivered.

Out of the box.
Get out of the box of normal;
The limits of creation that surround you.

What healthy man asks for healing?
When nothing is apparently wrong.
But when healthy tumbles out of the box, request for help explode.

Do you want to serve the Christ of God?
Do you desire to give honor to the King?
Then step out of the box of normal, into the realm of asking.

I need no faith to breathe.
I need no faith to make words.
I need a little faith to believe.
But I need his help to succeed.

Out of the box.
Get out of the box of normal.
Walk to the place of helpless abandon.
In that place you’ll see God speed.

Midnight’s Holy Voyager

I took a ride on the floating vessel.  Yet not my body but my mind.

The ticket to ride was not purchased by any thing I owned.  It was given to me by reason of things that are true.  To whom does the truth belong?

I did not board from a dock made by man’s hands.  But I was transported by holy understanding to the deck of a holy ship.

In the light of a holy night, I was bid to look out across the waves.  The movement of which was like three foot swells.

The color of the water was similar to a silt filled pond.  And from the water came a murmuring, like the sound of many men speaking.

A splashing could be heard to my left.  It was like the sound of a man swimming frantically.

An amazing sight gripped me as I looked to see.  Holy hands were working on a portion of the sea!

In a moment the water was formed into the top of a man’s head.  Little by little the torso appeared.

Then with a touch of a finger, the forming aqua man began to glow.  His appearance became like that of water flesh.

Again and again the splashing occurred around the ship.  At random places an aqua man would appear.

I turned to the one who had picked me to come.  I asked.  “What is happening here?”  He pointed to the starboard side saying, “Watch these two”.

Side by side two heads were forming.  But when the torso had appeared, one continued to form while the other remained only half.

I saw that the one who finished forming was changing in appearance.  From the top of his head toward his feet the color of the Caribbean Sea replaced the color of man’s fleshly tone.  The stilt of the place from which he was formed was abating back down into the sea.

There was a current in his body which drove the stilt to his feet.  And I saw small frothing at his soles which pulled the stilt back to the sea.

Soon he stood with a radiant face, praising God for pulling him from the sea.  And he began to walk about in full praise of God showing himself to all the waves.

In his walking he became distant from the ship.  But I distinctly watched him evaporate into a beautiful white cloud of brilliance.

I watched the white cloud rise in the moonlight.  Then with a flash of lightning, he let go his water and ascended with great glory.

My companion tapped me on the shoulder.  “Watch now what becomes of the other.”

I looked back to the sea.  There the other was.  He remained half formed.

On his face was evident tumultuous pain.  It was an unhappy countenance, so vastly different from the joy of the other.

There was a frothing at his base.  Within the space of but a little while,  the half formed aqua man was pulled back to the sea.  In a very short time he was no more.

I marveled at the stillness of the water where he had been.  The difference between the two was an obvious and painful knowledge.

My arms had been resting on the railing as I watched all these things.  In astonishment I laid my head in my hands.  My companion allowed me some time to think.

Then he gently put his arm around my shoulders.  ‘Do you understand what you have seen?”  He whispered in a loving tone.

There were tears forming in my eyes as understanding came to me.  “Yes my lord.”  I said.  “I think I do.”

The tears in my eyes were like those of a chameleon.  One eye was watered with joy.  The other was soaked with sorrow.  One eye was held on the place of great glory.  The other transfixed on demise.

And shall I mention the eyes of my soul?  Those eyes that cannot lie.  With the compulsion of truth, my soul’s eyes saw my own failure.

Perceiving my turmoil, my companion urged me to look about.  And in various places I saw the great creation taking place.  Some would rise to glory, most would fade to oblivion.

I turned to my companion and asked him, “What makes the difference, my Lord?”  His reply was but three words.  Yet they spoke volumes to my soul.  “Agreement or greed”, was all he spoke.

The next moment I found myself in the special place of prayer.  That holy understanding, only a distant frothing of waves.  But the affect is a useful deluge.  As I consider my service to God.

Our Horror and Plight

image

I was privileged to go on a cruise just recently.  One morning as I sat, pondering the things of God,  the nature of truth became the prominent subject in my mind.

As the Sun began to rise this picture was taken.  And a horrifying reality struck my soul like lightning.  I will try to share it with you here, but the fullness of the revelation belongs to Christ Jesus.

Truth remains above all the thoughts and doings of man.  Regardless his reaction, truth remains firm forever.

Should he decide to ignore truth, man will be cut to shreds.  Should he embrace truth, he will find himself sliced to complete reduction.  Every lie will be stripped away.  Nothing within man can stand within God’s Truth.  If it is not from God, it will not endure the Judgement of Truth.

Some try to hide from truth. But there is no hiding.  By rebellion, willing ignorance or even fear, men attempt to hide.  Men constantly make excuses for their unwillingness to embrace truth.

But the excuses of men are like a babbling language before the ears of truth.  They are a noise which is easily ignored.  Men think they make sense in their voicing of excuses.  They walk away confident that they have attained another day of freedom to do as they please.  But they are like those men who carried a wooden cross to toward the advancing lava only to be burned alive.  The agent of their death had no ears to hear there plea.  So it is with the truth of God.

Look about you.  Truth does not refuse the Holy Will of God.  The faithfulness of all heaven and creation obeys the will of the Living God in truth.  The Sun rises faithfully  every morning, and so the moon and stars.  The ocean remains where it is without complaint or excuse.  There are billions of items in creation that testify of faithfulness in truth.

Even now, truth testifies against us, for we are witness to all the faithfulness of creation,   Only the one who desires to be lovely before God embraces the injury and death that truth demands; injury to the desires of pleasure, and death to all his excuses.

If we embrace truth, we will suffer loss, no matter what we can reach to become.  God’s Truth is Holy!  Run, hide, rebell or hate truth, it already knows where we are.  And truth has laid an uncompassionate judgement at our doorstep.  “Obey the living God or die.  Since you have not obeyed you will surely be decimated.”

Only the willing, the strong of heart, the purposeful, and the faithfilled, will arrive with little destruction left to endure.   But make no mistake, Truth will certainly strip wickedness from eternity.

The purging of heaven and the salvation of humble souls belongs exclusively to the Lord Jesus the Christ of God.  The truth of the Living God’s words have given Jesus eternal authority.  If you want to be saved it is to Christ Jesus you need to appeal.  (Yes, the very one who is hated so vehemently among men.)

The question is poised to every man.  Will you suffer loss here, or will you let the Son rise on you and burn you away like a drop of water on a red hot slab of steel?

Words are the only strength I have to help you in this horrible plight.  (Horrible because truth demands a verdict, and you have no excuse to protect yourself.  And the plight, because you have no desire to lay down your own lie filled excuses.)   Even so, God has commanded that free will reign among men.  He has left the choice in our hands.

Truth is not hidden.  It is blatantly obvious to everyone.  Will you find the desire to deny excuses their strength?  Are you willing to stop hiding?  Are you sick of being an ambassador of destruction.  All you need to do is humble yourself before the Living God and ask for His mercy in Christ Jesus His Holy and Righteous Son.  God will hear that plea.

Obedience to the Living God brings life.  It is not too hard to humble ourselves and ask.  The horrible shame among men is that so few will ever do it.  Most people go to the grave dressed in lies.  Will that be you?

The People of Restraint

It is flesh who cannot see.
It is this place relegated to obscurity.

All of heaven is open space free and blessed to be.
Constrained, that is we.

Wordless Wonder

Wordlessly my little dog speaks to me of volumes.

The rock on which I stubbed my toe proclaims to me, “I am here!”

Such is the marvelous conversation of creation.

How should we be surprised, that the Living God speaks to us by what is?

Legitimate Complaints?

7 days of creation.  And on the seventh day God rested from his work.

7 plagues of God’s vengeance.  And on the seventh plague God will establish peace for eternity.

We are told in Revelation, that men will curse God for the plagues that are sent upon them.  Their cursing will reflect a very curious attitude.

“This is our place how dare you disturb it!  These are our children!  These are our things!  What right do you have to take away our lives?”

What a very curious look into the heart of rebellion.

If this is your place, produce the one who made it.  If these are truly your children produce your ability to make a soul.  If you want to question God’s rights, produce your proof of sovereignty.

If you want freedom, submit to God in Christ Jesus His Holy and Righteous Son.  If you want slavery to eternal loss, continue as you are.
