Salvation Belongs to the Willing

Under the cover of darkness, they move with darkness.

Where the knowledge of punishment is diminished,

Man moves about with insolent abandon.

Sin is rapidly becoming a forgotten concept.

In a nation where every infraction against God is condoned,

The people do as they please.

But for the most heinous acts,

(odious, wicked, evil, atrocious, monstrous, abominable, detestable, contemptible, reprehensible, despicable, egregious, horrific, terrible, awful, abhorrent, loathsome, hideous, unspeakable, execrable)

The laws of Man embrace the will of rebellion.

But the blazing Light of God shines regardless.

He mounts His Holy Day.

With steady readiness, the Living God prepares His Judgment.

Eternity has set a time for Man to appear;

That Man will give account of his actions and desires,

This is more sure than the wickedness he loves so dearly.

If you are willing, then seek the Living God’s Holy Son.

There is life within His Holy Wisdom.

But if darkness is your desire,

Then, by all means, employ your ungodly strength.

Under the cover of darkness, they move with darkened intent.

Greed, desire, hatred for what is Good;

This is the will of man.

And God has allowed this time for Man to flex his useless muscles.

Rise and wake, or sleep and die.

The condemnation of all Man’s desires Lives in waiting.

Come.

Gather together in that place reserved for the enemies of God.

Come, fully prepared to receive.

For each man who sins willingly will receive the bounty due his work.

Yet every man who humbles himself before the Living God’s Holy Son

Will receive forgiveness and strength;

No righteous acts will be ascribed to the will of Man,

But the Righteousness of Christ will be ascribed to the ones who honor the Holy Son.

Hide These Here

Like all men did I wander, through a dusty blowing land.

Unable to know just where I go, my sight reduced to my trembling hand.

But one Great moment appeared to me, the Holy One came near.

He gave me precious things to own, and bid me “Hide these here”.

So all the days I’ve left to own, are filled with placing dearly:

The proclamation that He Is, and guides so very nearly.

Flint Feet

Will you walk with me into truth?  Even a short jaunt will produce a flame.  It is as if we are given feet of flint, at our acceptance of The Word.  With every stride we take, among the sharp rocks of truth, our feet spark with fiery intent.  Let then our feet move with dragging; that we may agree to burn the chaff.

If a man has obedience, then he is considered an obedient servant of the Most High God in Christ Jesus.  But if he is “mostly” an obedient man, yet allows sin to co-exist with holy, then he is counted as one who disobeys the commands of God.  Isn’t this so?

What fellowship does light have with darkness?  As light appears, doesn’t the darkness recede?  And if a man moves into darkness, where is the light that guided his path?  What path is he on now?

If we desire to live, forever, in the Holy House of God, we must cease walking in the dark.  And this brings up a relation to the “dragging of holy feet”.

Can a Christian, one who is being groomed for a place in the Holy City, exchange his feet of flint for those of a man (at will of desire)?  Or do those feet remain, even while we chase after pleasure?  Don’t those feet remain?  Don’t they produce a holy light of holy fire and a painful sting to the one who dabbles in sin?  If Jesus has intended to save toward purpose, those feet will remain.  Yet the man’s place is diminished with every misstep.

To our shame, we are like holy men who, traveling the holy golden path, sneak off into the thorny bushes to revel in some forbidden pleasure.  We intend to resume our holy pilgrimage in a short while.  But we have made the choice to endure a tearing of our flesh; a rending of our soul.  Do such men come away unscathed?

Does the Lord not notice such a man’s tendency toward a love of the world?  Can such a man have hope of living eternally in the Holy City of God?  Or will he be cast out among those who live in the open spaces; unprotected and tested for eternity?

12 “Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done.  13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.

14 “Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city.  15 Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give youa this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.”  (Revelation 22)

The spark of life

Blood for the heart and thoughts for the mind, the soul is the essence of man. The soul is captive in the body with millions of silver light chords. What God has done in the making of man is unspeakably wonderous and great.

Yet break a few of the cords and the soul becomes untethered. Life within perception ceases. And the realm of man is shattered. The soul is tethered to flowing blood and the gell which is the brain. Who can fathom the mystery of life?

Let the blood stop flowing, or render a sufficient bump on the head and the essence evaporates from our perception. We would say, “The man is dead.” but we speak from fleshly eyes. For what cannot be seen is that which does not die.

The body remains among us. And even the most foolish will treat it with some measure of respect. But where is the soul? Where is the spark that once animated what now rots? Death leaves an empty tent. And the dweller has gone to his rightful place.

The simple man knows without having to be told, the soul has gone where it belongs. But the “wise” among us even doubt the soul exists. For the “wise” deny God.

With exceedingly weak words, the man of his own wisdom says, “The dead man has become memory and lives with us forever.” What a foolish thing to say for men who cannot remember what they did yesterday. And we will not add the things you did not know about the man who is now dead. How can the fragile memory of man cause the man to live forever? Hopeless, thoughtless and unholy are the thoughts of man without God.

I have entertained the words of those who are “wise”; those who perceive with fleshly eyes. I found them to be false and void of understanding. But to challenge their words in their face I also found to be useless. Their strength is their pride, and it is foolish to challenge. They will testify, “I am right, you are wrong.”

But I will challenge you here, you man of blood and skin. What the Lord has to say lay between us and through me. May he have mercy on you, that you will consider with sobriety. For you are drunk with the things of this world. Your eyes are fuzzy with dilution. You may define the word holiness, as men have defined it. But you know nothing more than that.

If there is no God. If flesh is the truth of all. If the sum of life is to gain what can be held by the perishing fingers of Man. Then explain to me the nature of death, if indeed you can.

Where is the spark of life when a body lay limp and lifeless? If all the things you hold so dear are true and irrevocable, why do they not dissipate with the life of the body? As if all the things a man has owned disappear to be with him forever. Even now the articles of those who believed such things are dug up and sold for money.

The folly of the question is evident. But those who deny God have not even asked.

You said you know. You proclaim that those who believe in God are foolish. Then “Wiseman”, answer me.

Where is the spark of life when a man lay dead? Has it gone someplace? Has it traveled some distance away? Travel takes time. So how long did it take for the soul to travel to its rightful place?

I say you are wrong. And I say those words with definitive strength. For I have the testimony of God Himself within me. Newness of life has come upon me that I did not know nor ask for. Understanding appears where once there was nothing but void.

You say there is no God. But you cannot answer the slightest of question. Where is your foundation for your feet as you stand to make that unholy accusation?

I will tell you what I know. And I will tell you I am ashamed of my lack. For I too am of flesh. And what I know cannot be perceived by skin. Though He has given sufficient to answer you.

You stand on ground you did not create. With air that is given, you fill your lungs. Your created mind conjures words. And with the glory of God’s creation you make them take life; only to live as death themselves.

You miss the most important things. For in him you live and move and have your being. Yet you proudly deny he is. You testify before him that you are foolish. I only point it out because you cannot see it. But folly is of itself. You are proud as if you know something. Perhaps it is time someone got in your way.

The essence of life, the eternal soul, goes to be with he who made it. It does not take time for the soul to travel any distance. For in him we live and move and have our being. Even your unholy words have reached him, for the were spoken with in him.

To you, the rules of this place are all that is. But this unholy place has blinded your eyes. And you do not perceive the light. As long as pride is your strength you will see nothing, and that in darkness. Humility sees far farther. For humility receives the mercy of God.

The flesh is for dirt. The soul is for Spirit. Neither to return to this place again. Men even testify to their destructive nature, for they bury what rots I lest it taint what regenerates.

If I spoke to you about these things without riddle, you would not understand. And you would not strive to ask. So I make no apologies for the cloak on these words. These words are not faultless, but they speak of he who is.

You have testified as if you know. I testify from what He has given. There is a chasm fixed between us. I will no longer cross over to you. But I urge you, with all sincerity, cross over to Him.

A Fillament of God

Stopping for gasoline in my small country town, I came upon a startling revelation.  As I went in to pay for the gas, I passed a man coming out.  When he saw me he quickly turned his head away from me and down.

I paid for the fuel and walked back to the little truck.  For some reason the man had not left.  Instead he was on his way back into the store.  And so we passed again.

This time the man’s aversion was radical.  There was no question he preferred any place but there.   Frankly, I was surprised he did not turn around and get back in his car.

Neither of us spoke a word, the first time or the second.  His pain was so obvious I did not desire to add to it by saying hello.

I wear a dark blue ball cap.  On the cap are the words “Think Eternity”, and a small cross.  The power of those words and the symbol that accompanies them caused the man his obvious anguish.

As I drove away I pondered the man’s life.  He has friends.  He has relatives.  He has those who love him.   He has a history and a reputation.  In short he has what he considers “a life”.

But if he cannot bear two small words and a symbol on the hat of a man, what will he do when he is face to face with a blazing glory of God?

That man is the most pronounced reaction I have ever seen.  Most people avoid my eyes.  But I have never seen anyone react that violently on the inside.  It gives me cause to ponder who I am becoming, by the strength of God within me.

I am like the filament of a lightbulb.  What chases the darkness away is not the glass.  It is the blazing fire within.

The filament does not perceive what happens beyond its light.  And it does not command or control those who live in darkness.  The filament simply blazes light.  And it does not consider its value.

The value is perceived by he who placed the light.  And it is used by those who live in darkness.

We are the light of the world, by Christ who lives within.  We testify with words and actions.  But the testimony within us speaks soul to soul.

Every tree is shaken.  Excuses evaporate like a drop of water on a hot burner.  And the hearts of men are starkly revealed.

May God receive the bounty that is rightfully his.  All glory to the Father through the Son, by his people and the might of His Holy Spirit upon us.  Amen.

So be it!

Countless horde, await your day.  Sleep your restless sleep.  Your time has come to an end in the midst of your desire.  Warned, you continued on, mindless of what was coming.

Now what is your complaint?  Will you complain that your dreams have been stolen?  Will you desire vengeance for the plans which never found root?   Will you complain regarding your current home; the darkness of your grave consumes you.

Those who remain in the Land of the Dead morn your passing.  But they will soon join you, it is inevitable.  These, who still strive against the Gospel of Christ, make their plans just as did you.  They live as animals waiting for the slaughter.

“More grass,
more water,
more steps to take.
More air to breathe,
more sleep to take.”

To whom do you address your complaint?  Do you despise the world because it did not give you your desire?  Do you blame death because it has brought you to his house?  Did you not know it was his intent?  So now your dark heart, in your dark home, rails against the Land of the Dead?

Perhaps your greed provokes jealousy.  For God lives in his brilliantly lit Palace of Righteousness.  All the while His Holy Law has placed you where you are.  Stripped of your gain he has said, “Enough!”  And now your hands are forced to cease their work.

Your place of residence tells something about who you are.  You did not desire the will of God.  You desired the will of your own wickedness.  You have not loved righteousness and hated wickedness.  You have desired all that is evil and hated what is Good.

In your end, even now you hate the one who made you.  So be it!  What is yours belongs to you.  What is His belongs to Him.  Yours is death, destruction and End.  What is His is Life and Praise and Eternity.

Now your complaint is mixed with tears that have no water, desiring to fall from eyes which cannot see.  For you know those you knew in the Land of the Dead.  You know they too will soon join you.

Your silent complaint will fall on deaf ears as you mingle together as one group.  You would not listen nor would you teach.  Now you have been assigned your rightful place.

So be it!  Await your destruction with forced patience.  You will work the work you are now forced to endure.  The command has arrived, “Lay still and await the Holy Fire which will consume you.  You will receive the wages due to your greed and praise of self.”

Cut short!  Cut short is he who hates the Lord.  Stopped in the midst of stride.  Errant desires obliterated.  A multitude of shining days reduced to the deepest of darkness.  You are but Fuel to flames; ashes of ethyl substance, yet to become.

Be wise and listen, you who now thrive with self-purpose in the Land of the Dead.  Hear the unspoken testimony of those whose lips are sealed.  Take note of their plight for it will soon be yours.
