That Many! Really?

This is a symbol intended to encompass polyamory, skepticism, and atheism. There are several symbols for atheists and many symbols for polyamory, but no other symbols for skepticism. Also, there are many different groups and symbols for the intersection of polyamory and spirituality/religion, but only one for poly atheists. Many atheists are also not skeptics and vice versa, so a symbol for all three was created for that niche group of polyamorous people who are both skeptics and atheists. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Atheists comprised an estimated 2.01% of the population.    US Population 316,668,567.    That’s 6365038.1967 who don’t believe there’s a God.  Likely?

Under times when there’s no threat to their life or livelihood, that’s a pretty fair number.  But add something into the social fabric where peace is seriously threatened and I’d bet that number would dissipate quickly.

The Wall of Truth

There is a wall which lays hard against the mass of men.  It is a wall of truth.  He who built this wall has done so from the stock of men.

He has carved out stones from the hardened hearts of men.  And He has positioned each stone of truth at the very place in this wall which pleases Him to set it.  God has done this among us.  Who are we to complain regarding the testimony of another stone of truth which appears in the very wall in which we are set?

Where is pride allowed or even condoned within the ranks of God’s people?  Where does envy belong?  For we are all of those who have received the truth from He who cannot lie.  Let us instead be humbled by this understanding.  Cease your attacks against your brothers for the sake of envy.  There is no blessing to be had among those who rebel.  Blessing belongs to the humble of heart.

“This word is spoken to all so that there might be understanding among My people.”

By His Grace.

Jeffrey Frankel is attributed to the following saying:  “They say there are no atheists in foxholes.”  Now I don’t care one whit what atheists think of me posting that saying.  It has been determined that “A fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.'”  And who would consult a fool for wisdom?  Only another fool would do that.  I have been a fool.  But in respect to the reality of there being a God, I am no longer such.  And this preamble brings me to the meat of the post.

If God is called on in times when troubles escape our ability to cope, then why isn’t that same power effective in the smallest detail of our lives?  Why do people leave God when things go well enough?  He has told us that every good work we do on our own is as filthy rags.  Then why don’t we believe Him in that statement?

Seek God for absolutely every directive.  Look to Him for every thought, duty, emotion, sickness, and healthy moment.  This is the will of God for man.  It is this very point where millions have missed the blessing of the transforming power of God.
