Superior

Here is a fact.

Every religion on earth has a limit. Every man, whom the people have elevated, is still nothing more than a man. Every rite, every ordinance, every prescribed ritual, and every perception of holy in these religions, are limited to the mind of man. They are established by man. They cannot help but be faulty and full of limit.

But the majesty of Christ spawns its own personal religion in the ones he chooses to embrace. Over the centuries man has tried to bridal that faith in Christ. But God has chosen his High Priest, Jesus. And the response of his people is a direct result of his interaction with them. He teaches them to listen. He teaches them to obey. And as every man is his own nation, customs and language, the language Christ speaks to his people is that people’s language.

There is no limit in Christ.

Another proof that the religions of this world are not from God is the platitude of them. While Christ is one, man cannot help but be many (with endless vagaries, I might add).

If you would prove that this is true, believe in Christ alone. The religions of this world mimic opinion. While Christ is the exact representation of the living God himself.

Man can only speak about God. Christ speaks from God.

Destroyed From Within

Sitting here this morning thinking of the things in America. I am amazed. That the voices of divisive ignorance are so loud. I am astounded. That there are so many who agree with this divisiveness. They say yes to the “spinners”. The leaders do not fear death, they fear the volume of stupidity.

Still, the destroyer is not satisfied. For America still has soundness in her bones.

It is like the garden that was planted is being overrun with fools whose hands are full of seeds from weeds. What they are planting is not edible and it surely chokes out the food.

I just shake my head in dismay. The streets are becoming populated with screaming insanity. The homes are divided before the child is born. Righteous wisdom is refused.

What then is to be the outcome?

Pretending Means Nothing

You cannot be a rich man simply because you know rich men exist. You cannot be a hero simply because you know there are men who are heroes.

It is hideously foolish to boast of something we are not. And simply because our ancestors and friends were something, it does not make us so.

You cannot be something while what you own is nothing. The tally never lies. Those who can’t count can be fooled. But there is One who counts perfectly.

You cannot be a blazing Christian unless your soul is blazing with the things of the Lord God Almighty. At best you can only be a decent citizen of this world.

The judgment of God never sleeps. He knows those who are his. He knows what kind of people they are, for he has made them so. He knows what they endure. He knows those who struggle for his Holy sake.

We can say anything we want about ourselves. Truth either bears witness for us or stands as a mighty wall against us.

Prime time to make a proper assessment.

From God,s Perspective

Divide a second into the smallest possible pieces. Less than one of those segments is the entire life of any man in the fullness of eternity. The blink of an eye.

(How do I put this thought into words so that I won't offend anyone, yet share an immense perspective? But if people want to be offended they'll find some reason.)

The salvation of humanity is important enough for God to send his beautiful Son to be crucified by His people, yet on their behalf. And not just they, but any who will believe.

How many of us, and how often, have we either bottled up or stood directly in the way of the Gospel?

We say we love him. And in many ways that's absolutely true. But how often have we seen the importance of the Gospel from God's perspective?

We've heard the story: God sent His only Son that He may be the propitiation for our sins. From the moment God placed His Son's soul in Mary, to the very last breath He took, His life among us was The Supreme Sacrifice.

No love of Man can compare.

What is the will of God?

“Here We Go Again.”

Every time I read the Bible, I come to those certain places that give me reason to pause. Sometimes I overlook the difficulty and read on anyway. But the older I get the less capable but I am of overlooking the difficulty without taking a moment to prepare myself for what comes next.

The difficulty is this:
God delivers Life to man in a certain place and time. It is always well received, as it should be. But not long after, evil summons its strength to come and eradicate the work of God.

It is lovely to read the joy God has sent to earth. It has become almost unbearable to witness the response of evil Man. Evidently this continual sequence of events is necessary in this godless world. Perhaps, so is my response.

Does anyone else feel this way?

True Peace

Interesting to me: people know about what they’re going to read here.  But how many still chase after things it won’t last, only because they want to avoid God.

The definition of true peace does not lend itself to the opinions of Man. True peace is not the absence of turmoil. Therefore you can’t buy it with ignorance.

True peace does not come to us by diligent ritual. Even if all things went well for the perfectionist, what peace he thinks he has can be destroyed by a speck of dust.

And the one who thinks they will gain peace by not involving themselves in the difficult things of God, is undone by the simple miraculous beauty of a butterfly.

True peace has one origin and one substance. To gain it we must appear in the fire of condemnation that radiates from the Living God’s throne. True peace will always come dressed in the humiliation of our own eternal weakness.

True peace can only be had by learning to trust Jesus in everything. Every other opinion regarding peace will be shattered.

There is no institution on earth where you can go to begin your journey into true peace. In this, even the church can’t help you. The Church can only point to the One who is willing and able to give you Life.

Where you need to go is the last place you want to go, but the absolute place you will arrive; the throne of the God who made you.
