Hey! Paul, You’re Way Too Harsh!

People think the words posted in this blog are far too harsh.  Many will say that I spoke way beyond my personal righteousness.  The testimony of the life I led was so far short of the words I post here that it’s a sin for me to speak as a man who had led a godly life. 

But let me say this:

This blog does not proclaim that I am righteous.  For over 50 years I lived as a fool, a sinner, an evil man.  I did things (and so many things I can’t count anymore) that even a hardened criminal behind bars would be ashamed of having done.  Even a man on death row would consider many of the things I’ve done as the work of a complete fool.  I do not speak of my righteousness in this blog.  I have no right to speak of “good” standards of living at all.  I speak of the righteousness of God here.

I am telling the entire world that God is Holy, good, perfect, all wise, all patient with fools, and all powerful in His strength.  What this blog does is warn about what is coming.  We can find soft messages about Jesus everywhere.  And if you want to learn how to be forgiven all you have to do is turn to a Christian message anywhere.  But what is not being spoken loudly enough these days is the Holiness of God and His DEMAND that His people also become Holy in all they do for His Name Sake!

I am a fool, a liar, an idiot, a failed father, a failed husband, a fired worker, one who never settled down to live a righteous life.  And I am more wicked than most men in the things I did before.  But I do not live like that anymore.  By His Grace, I now chase hard after what is Holy and Good.  I do not chase these things by my own understanding and power.  I am propelled by the power of God within me.  And He will lead me out to what is good and holy. 

I testify that there is Hell to pay for the guilt of our sins.  I need not testify regarding the Love of God.  You can find that anywhere today.  I testify that if you don’t surrender to the power of God in Christ Jesus, you will die a hedious death of guilt and remorse.  You will be bannished to darkness without the presence of God forever.

You won’t like what I write unless you have come to the Lord Jesus and truly accepted His gift of eternal life.

I Want God’s Will.

What do I want for Christmas?  I want God’s will.  

Let others chase after rotten fruit, I want God’s will. 

Nothing will satisfy this hunger in me but God’s will. 

I seek to pray and something blocks my way.  I want God’s will.

Doors remain locked around me.  I want God’s will.

I strain to hear, yet nothing’s heard.  I want God’s will.

My lips speak His Holy name.  I want God’s will.

How I desire to write success.  I want God’s will.

Father, Great Father of Jesus my Lord, I want Your will.

Open the way before me.  I want Your will.

Let men strive for what they want.  I want Your will.

Call Me What You Will.

To those of you who know me and have pet names you call me behind my back.  You use names like “Preacher”, “Bible Thumper”, “Holier than thou”, and the like.   There is nothing endearing in your voice when you speak like this.  You mean to deride me and the words I carry.  I do not judge you, nor do I cast you on your own bed of guilt.  This is not for me to do.  “Vengence is Mine”, says the Lord, “I will repay”. 

Right now you see me as the enemy.  You may have even gone so far as to label me a traitor to your ways.  You’re right in both.  I stand with the Father in Heaven in His ways and by His Glory.  I bear the name of His Son Jesus.  And I will not back down.  He alone is life and I will cling to Him for all my strength. 

What you see in me regarding the word enemy, is that I no longer agree with you that rebellion and sin are a good thing.  You shame the One who made you.  I once agreed with you in that respect.  But I now see clearly that those who live like that have no part with God, and they will die a hediously intense death of guilt forever.

What you see in me regarding the word traitor, is that I no longer support your laughter at things Holy.  He is within me and causing me to understand His Holiness on a moment by moment basis.  Yes, I am a traitor to the things of this world.  But you see with blind eyes.  What you hold so dear is about to blink out of existance.  Only the Holiness of God will endure.  And to whatever extent He lives in His children, only that will survive the Holy Fire that is God. 

Say what you will.  Call me what you will.  Until I am taken away from you I will proclaim this truth.  I know this gives you great pain whenever you see my form.  This pain you feel is the Lord God calling you to repent of sin and follow His Son toward Holiness.  I beg you to reconsider what you think and chase His gift with the same fever I have.  Today is all you have to find Him.

Americans spend a great amount of effort and time constructing Christmas for themselves.  Is this admirable?  Without service to the will of God in Christ Jesus, I can say, NO!  Yet consider the following:

When all is said and all is done our work for Him is not complete.  We strive for things that will provide for the needs of today and we often consider providing the needs of a tomorrow.  Perhaps your tomorrow of providing is next week.  Perhaps you even provide for your retirement.  You might have even gone so far as to have your headstone carved and located and bought the plot of ground your body will rot in.  But what about that “Day”? 

I’m speaking of the day when you will give full account of yourself.  Absolutely everything you’ve done, though, and spoken will be demanded from you.  How much thought have you given to that place?  We have been warned and I am sent to warn.   Even your own conscience stands to warn you of that coming day.  What have you done to give a good report of yourself?

There is one aspect to give all importance in this preparation for that Day.  God sent His Son to die for the sins of those who would accept His sacrifice on their behalf.  What are you doing with that gift?  All men will stand guilty before the Great God of Glory and Life.  All men will stand bare naked and helpless before Him, except those who have done the will of God in believing Jesus. 

Find shelter in Him now.  For today is all you are given to do so.  I tell you a truth.  As the Lord Himself said, “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.”

The Whole Truth

If you have read my posts you know I hate the wickedness of men.  And it is not hard to see that I believe most men will continue to walk in their sin no matter how much truth you feed them.  I confess there is a tiredness in me regarding today’s view of God’s Holiness.  He is so very beautiful in all His ways.   Yet man hates Him before they give God a chance to speak. 

The Lord speaks to me about this blog.  He assures me that what is being posted is true.  But He also reminds me to also speak of the “choosing”.  When He said that to me I was struck at the reluctance within me to do so.  But I will give it a solid shot.

There are always three elements to all situations.  We find all creation yelling at the top of it’s lungs as it points to the Glory of God.  God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which is given the task of speaking the will of God in men.  These three testify as One for the Holiness and Perfectness of God.  And in all creation we find everything ringing clear with that same trio.  Want examples?  Ok:

Earth, water, air.  No table can stand on less than three legs.  You may have more and you might have less.  But a minimum of three is efficient for stability and mobility.  The egg has three parts: the yoke, the white, and the shell.  Animals come in three categories: land, water, and air. 

Given the time and inclination I could go on for years about this subject.  But we would find it unproductive and futile.  What we are digging at is the “Choosing” of hope in Christ Jesus.  Allow me to relate this to the three.

Look at man.  By himself he is enough to provide for himself from what is available.  Yet we know he is more.  Man is also wicked beyond our wildest imaginations.  So providing for himself is an utterly selfish task.  And now we mention the third, the “choosing”.  If man allows himself to listen to God’s words, he stands the chance of becoming a great deal more than mere man.  He will find, if he chooses, he becomes a god man.  He will begin to experience an inner desire to rid himself of wickedness and learn to hate evil.   While there will begin a serious craving for righteousness and the Glory of the God who guides him.

This “Choosing” is right at the door of everyman’s life, every moment of every day until he dies.  I have written a great deal of the warnings of what is coming, so I don’t have to hash it over in this post.  But what I encourage everyone to do is consider what is true and to believe that there is hope in God for eternal peace.  Without Him we have no peace.  We only continue developing our wickedness so that it begins to look like righteousness.  But with Him, through forgiveness of sins and the teaching of the Holy Spirit, we stand to become men of God. 

I will testify to you that sleeping on a pillow of clean conscience is a marvelous thing.  It is available to you at this very moment if you will but humble yourself and accept His Glorious Gift in Christ Jesus.

Now hear me!  I am not about pleasing men with my words.  And I stand where I do in that for a very good reason.  But I am compelled to agree with the Lord that there is also a need to remind folks of His enduring love.  What I have written before stands!  There is litterally “hell to pay” for not turning to God in Jesus.  But there is also a GREAT love available for all who will come to Him and receive His gift. 

Contrary to what one might begin to believe by what I write, I do not want men to die for eternity!  I want you to live!  Come taste.  I assure you Jesus is worthy of all our worship and honor.

The Day of Doom.

What is the scene of the judgment day?

Who is there?

What type of people?

What ages?

What status did they have among men?

What manner of death did they experience?

Open your imagination and see them standing there.  Clothed in perfect souls, they await His entrance. 

What is being said to them? 

Jesus said there will be those at the wedding feast who are not clothed with wedding clothes.  He will ask them “Friend, how did you get here?”.  But they will not be able to answer Him. 

Jesus also tells of those who did not consider service to Him in this world to be of value.  For they hid their gifts instead of using them for His Glory.  What is His response?  “He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.”  In cutting him to pieces we see no forgiveness of sins.  The man will be exposed to the judgment of God as though he never knew about Jesus.

The judged stand on an open place and wait.  There is no place to hide.  No place to run.  No shadows to blend into.  The light from 7 suns floods their place.  All their thoughts, words, attitudes,  and deeds are fully and painfully disclosed.

Their eyes stretched wide as His Majesty is revealed.  Watch their eyes slam shut.  Yet they cannot cease His presence.  They are unable to bear the sight and awareness of His Holiness. 

Now you tell me there is no hell……. fine.  Have it as you will.
