Words and Actions

Do the angels in heaven fail to tell one another that they love God?  No they say it in praise to Him openly and to one another.  Is only among men the such words and praise are forbidden.

But who should we align to?  Shall we join men or shall we join the angels in heaven?  For we will surely be among them.  Will it be known of us that we were ashamed before men?

Let us not praise God only with words, but with actions also.  But good actions among men are a welcome addition to society.  It’s the words they hate so much.  And those who keep them to themselves for fear of reproach, prove that they hate those words also.

Freshly Pressed?

I thumb through “Freshly Pressed”, to see if someone speaks something of value.  All I find are short articles regarding the things of men.  I didn’t stay long there’s nothing on the table to eat.

Some would call me stuck up, arrogant and self-righteous.  To think that I consider what I write to be of more value than theirs.

Okay that’s fine.  Let’s hold up every word they speak against every word the Angels speak.  What’s missing?  Jesus, the Christ of God.

Now who’s train of conversation will last longer, the eternal angels or man who lives but a few years?  Whose words are full of holiness and whose are full of rott gut thoughts?  Whose is the language that will last forever?  Whose string of words will change within an hour?  Who gives glory to God?  Who gives glory to man?  Decide for yourself.

Do you really expect that I should love the things of men more than the things of God?  You would call me names because I do not appreciate what you write.  It was such people who treated the Holy Lord of life like human trash, when he was nailed to the cross.

Write what you will.
You will answer him still.
Account will be given in full.

Accuse has you must.
Ostracize in disgust.
He reigns from His Holy Hill.

OPEN!

Open, O’ will of mine.  Open to the Will of God!  Sleep no more.  Wake and open.

Receive those things He is so desirous to grant.  Open and receive.

Leave these things of abomination!  Seek the face of He who Lives Forever!

Stop!  Turn.  He calls your name.

Will you listen, O’ soul of mine?  Will you hear His Holy words and do them?

If not, answer me!  Tell me why you refuse.  What restrains you?

He offers life!  Why do you balk?

Open, O’ will of mine!  Open to the Holy Will of God!

Going out

I struggle hard to get used to it.  When I am not among people the sting fades.  The reality is remembered but the burden is softer.

Prayers are lifted.  Intent is sharpened.  I purpose to do well next time.  When it is time to venture out, desire consumes me to leave myself behind.  But I come along for the ride anyway.

Once with them, blinders of mercy strive to cover their sin.  But their behavior is so blatantly wicked, it is impossible not to notice.

The Lord has taught me his gospel.  And I wear a hat that speaks of eternity.  It is an emblem with a silver cross on a dark blue hat.  The words simply read “Think Eternity“. They see me coming and turn away.

Then the moment comes when conversation is inevitable.  This is the moment I dread the most, for now I will open my mouth.  Just a few words pass and the difference is clear; not only clear to me but brilliantly clear to them.

At some point you see them strive for opportunity to leave.  The simple witness of a man has opened a chasm.  Before they perceive it not.  But now it looms before them, bringing terror.

I did not speak the holy words of Christ in front of them.  That opportunity did not show.  But the views of life within me made themselves apparent.  And the differences between us are stark.

Yes, I dread going out to meet with people.  Not because they are wicked, but because I am such a weak fool.

Christ Jesus within me is strength beyond measure, wisdom eternal, mercy unending.  I look for opportunities to share what is within me.  But opportunity is a fleeting animal.

They are trained to avoid confrontation with the Most High God.  They are trained to love their neighbor by being inclusive and embrace their sin.  They are taught to avoid the confrontation between truth and lies.  And they have learned their lesson very well.
