Onward.

The religion of a man comes about because he thinks he has found the extent of God’s requirement for him.  How far the man goes in Christ depends on how much he desires to learn.  Doesn’t our obedience to the Living God’s Holy Son depend on our will?

God has in mind for us great things.  He has in mind for us beautiful, holy, righteous, eternal, and glorifying things.  But far too often man settles for some small routine.  He gathers about himself just enough to say, “I have done the Lord’s will.  He is pleased with me”.  Such religions have a veneer of righteousness.  But consider the following.

God is not my co-pilot.  He is the one at the helm.  He owns the ship.  He owns the Sea and the Wind.  He owns the place we are going to.  He owns the place we have come from.

The religion of man tends to say, “I have pleased God by coming through that door.  I will then go back through that door and return to the place I am”.  How can that be reasonable?  It is so easy to do the things we have learned to do.  Still, the Lord beckons us unto death; death to self and Life to Him.

Seeing and Hearing

I said to a man, “I have prayed often that the Lord would cause you to see and to hear”.  What is his best response?  “I see just fine.”

I know the man meant to be truthful.  And I don’t doubt that he does see.  For he was asking me questions in regard to the Living God.  But what does he see?

Earlier he referred to me as a religious man.  He does not yet make the distinction between religion and faith, lawful and holy.  He does not yet see any differently than any man who ever lived.

We have spoken together about the things of Christ hundreds of times before.  But he has not heard my words.  He still thinks he is a religious man.  He has not yet comprehend it the Eternal meaning of righteous.

Jesus heard the Father clearly, for he is the very Word of the Living God.  And he saw all things from the perspective of Eternity.  For he was sent from eternity into time.  There never was a man who could be said to have accomplished that in his life.

What locks us in such a place that our eyes and ears can only see and hear the things of man?  Simply put, it is the pride of man; that somehow he is able to save himself.  Perhaps we estimate by percentage; “I am more good than evil.  I am as compassionate as I can be.  And I give to others what I think I can afford.  I strive hard to restrict judgement of others within myself.  All of this because I know God is watching”.

Is that how we find ourselves perceiving the things of salvation?   Is that how we see and hear?

My Place

Come, listen and perceive.

You are First, and forever so, Holy Father.

For you are Life and Continuing, forever and forever.

And your Glory displayed in your Holy Son, likewise is he; continuing, life, joy, peace, majesty, righteousness, justice, the singular door to Life, the Grace of the Living God.  In all this and more, he is First.

And those who have been faithful to your Holy and Righteous Way, those who did not fall away or think to do so, these are first.

And those who hold your promise faithfully against the wind of sin.  These are first.

And those who have heard of your Great Glory in Jesus, those whose eyes are only beginning to open, these are first before me.

For I perceive my feet, how they stand with heel over the edge.  The pit behind me, the promise under my toes.

And do I hear you speak to me, yes indeed I do.  “Fall on the Promise.”

By necessity my face finds “Forever Grass”.  And so I cling, with desperate intent.  The precarious cliff on which I lay, is firm and forever by your Holy goodwill.

They are first before me.  Yet perceive precious soul: the place of last is far better the neverending place of fire.

There I will stay, or better.  Arms like steel cables, fingers like chisels staved into the grass of forever.

My will dressed in his.  Life is his desire.  Unequal to mine, it ascends to forever.

The soles of my feet: from them rises a vapor of destruction.  But cling I will because of his will!

The Living God is Good!

What If It’s True?

I was speaking with a man who is beginning to “see” the Gospel.  The subject of how grand the visible universe is came up.  I said to him, “Who are we if all that is was made, was made specifically for humanity?”  He balked at this for a moment, for he remembered the teachings about life forms on other planets (that teaching from the pit of hell).  But then he said, “We would be a very special group of people”.   Joy filled my heart to hear him admit the truth.

I don’t know if he grasped the fullness of that summation.  But what if there are no other creatures in all the universe like us?  What if the entire universe was created for us alone?

But let me state what is absolute and true, there are no other creatures on any other planet in the entire universe like us.  We are the sole purpose of God’s Glorious and Holy Will in all this vast universe.  (Note the lack of apology)

What does that mean?  And how do I KNOW this is true?

It means that we are intended to become a holy people, dressed in purity, righteousness, mercy, justice and eternal understanding.  That is the intent of God for every man, woman and child.  Regardless what background you may have, you are intended to serve the Living God with faithfulness.

How do I know this is true?  Because the Gospel of Christ Jesus is TRUE.  God has sent his one and only Son, He who has been with the Father of Life from the “Beginning”.  Jesus taught us this truth in every thing he did and said.  He was murdered for our sake, and by our own hands.  But God has raised Him from the dead and seated Him eternally in Glorious Majesty.  And this was done in THIS PLACE!

According to what I have written, let everyone consider what this means.  May everyone believe the Gospel of Christ.  May everyone become the majesty of God’s intention among Man’s place in eternity.  May all men stand in awe at the revelation of Truth that God has shed His blood to attain.

Amen.

The Singular Miracle

The gospel is minimized to the best of Man’s ability.  Within the days of Man, all the chores of the flesh take precedent.  And today so very many even actively campaigning against miraculous work of God.

Blind, blind and blind are all the people.  Who has considered The amazing puzzle.  Who sees the Christ of God for what He is?

It is not as though the Christ suffered periodically among God’s enemies;  as if once every 30 billion years the Holy Word of God must enter a creation that despises him, and be crucified for their unholy sake.  The precious miracle of God has blossomed; the Son of God has been sacrificed.  But who sees it as it is?

From Adam until now billions of men have come and gone.  Yet only a handful have understood.

In his excellent Holy wisdom, the Living God has made this place of testing.  It’s a done deal folks, and we’re living in that moment.  The Eternal God has performed his eternal task.  Even while we rested in Oblivion.  And even while I write this, that particular oblivion continues.

The reaping is next.  The final word will be spoken and all the souls of men will appear before the Living God.  Still men minimize the grand work of God to create this place.

The illusion of the temporary is that powerful.  Days come and go, and the mind of man is captured by the things that are not eternal.  How easily we push aside the reality of eternity.  “I’ll consider eternity when I get there.” Perhaps many even blame our limitations and use them as excuses.

This is not written to make people feel guilty.  It is some faulty and meager attempt charge our minds according to the truth of God in Christ.

See the gospel for what it is.  God’s Holy Son has been tested and found worthy to be granted exceedingly great Glory.  Once and for all he has become Master by the test he endured among us.  For eternity he had not been glorified.  But now for eternity he has!

Wake and consider these things.  We do not live in a place that will continue forever.  And at the sum of our days we will appear for the reward that belongs to us for the sake of our doings.  Where does the Holy strength of God rest in our minds?

By the wisdom of God we are not “just passing through”.  We live our days inside eternity.  Today IS forever.  Christ Jesus is glorified.  Once and for all eternity has done an unspeakably beautiful work.

The Sum of Love

The prowess of the inkwell is on vacation. Tis the Sabbath of expected diligence.

The following article will not be dressed for the egg head ball; that certain gathering of literary elegance. I will not even bother to knock on the door of the seamstress. Considering the content, let this article be ugly.
__________

In my youth, we constantly moved from place to place. I don’t remember spending a full year in any one school. I was always the new kid. I was always the threshold for the wannabe bullies. No one knew me, no one cared, I was a walking target for hatred. No more than an unknown animal in society, I was prime to be abused.

My first 17 years of life taught me that there is no such thing as love. There was only social acceptance. But social acceptance took time that I never had.

I quickly learned that this is what men call love. I endured their hatred, despising, outcasting, and beatings because I knew there was no end in sight. Needless to say, I became a despicable human being.

I found that the love of man is based on competition. If you perform well, according to their expectations, they embrace you readily. But let a fault show and they are heartless pursuers. And I was full to overflowing with faults.

I saw the accepted ones make mistakes. But there seemed to be an unwritten code of tolerance. A “one off” is accepted as if a simple mistake. Yes they paid a price for their mistakes, but it was not terminal.

If you want to beat the bully, believe in Christ the Son of God. If you want to strip your life of the competition that men call love, believe in the love of God.

God is not a man that he should pit us against one another.

God is not a man that he should honor the strength of body and social position.

As you are willing to believe, the power of God becomes greater than any persecution.

Blessed is the man who endures because he believes. The man who does not believe endures all things as punishment. And to whatever extent a man believes so his perception of punishment is lessened. His perception of life’s difficulties is reduced.

Where there is a solution to a problem a man may be willing to wait patiently for it and endure the problem. Such endurance confounds those who live to hate. When they find they cannot break something, eventually they become bored and walk away.

Looking over your shoulder is no way to live at peace; always in fear of punishment.

Do we believe our problems are temporary or do we believe they are the end of us?

Consider what Jesus has told us.
