The Eternal Voice

You are a soul encapsulated in a body.  Here you are helpless.  Everything and everyone is an enemy and a threat.  Your deadly enemy walks in front of your house.  By the look on his face  you know he desires your end.

But there is no reason to be afraid.

Remember what God Said.  He didn’t say it with words.  He said it with the sound of blood as it trickled down a wooden beam.  He said it with the sound of skin being pierced by Iron nails.  He said it with the sound of sweat breaking through to the surface of the skin.

“I love you.  I will help you.  I will bring you to be where I am.  I cannot lie.  I am more powerful than death itself.  I will provide for you.  I will sustain you, no matter what.  And all I want from you is trust.  Believe these things.”

“Fill Er Up”

There was a man who was in the habit of filling the tank on his car with just enough gasoline to get where he wanted to go.  He was careful to calculate.  And for years he was successful.

Then the day came, that inevitable day.  He waited for an hour in Sub-Zero temperatures while the road was cleared so he could proceed.  He ended up 9 miles from his next refueling.  He froze to death as his car laying in the ditch alongside an empty road.

He had a good idea as long as things stayed stable.  But it would be impossible to call his habits wise.  What, inside his pee size brain, told him this world was stable enough to act like that?

God calls every single human being to honor his Holy Son and become a servant of Eternal truth and life.  I don’t say this to judge but it is a proper question.  How many people fill their soul with just enough God to get through the day with some form of prosperity?

There is coming a day for every person, and likely more than one, where their personal religion will not suffice.  God is life.  How much Life do you carry with you?

Anacondaian tapeworms

I was filling out the work order for today’s work.  I drew and N.  I noticed how it was misshapen.   I thought to myself, “Well you’re just not perfect are ya”.
LIGHT BULB!
How bad is self righteousness?  How foolish to look down on others when we are so horribly imperfect ourselves.  But don’t we do it all day long?
Imperfection lives in us like a hungry Anaconda; always looking for someone else to devour.  And it’s impossible for a man to kill that massive tapeworm.  You need the Lord Jesus to rule over your thoughts.

And how unenlightened are those who tell the Christian he has no right to judge.   The Christian isn’t judging, my friend.  He’s trying to tell it to you like it is.  But see how your self-righteousness gets in the way of your ears.
Sigh……….

Marriage

Did you know that the current divorce rate in America is 50%?
I was thinking this morning about how I want my life to matter.  In the end, I came to the conclusion that I want to bring gifts to the Lord’s wedding.  It didn’t take a heartbeat for my mind to compare gifts at a wedding today with gifts at the wedding of the Lord.
People marry for their lifetime, at best.  The Lord’s wedding to his people will be a “once in eternity” event.  Never has it happened before, and never will it happen again.  It would be good to let that sink in.
With divorce at 50%, what is the value of any gift we might bring to a wedding?  There’s a 50-50 chance they will only be useful in the division of things.  Our token of love might well become a token of division.
But then it dawned on me, the importance of the Lord’s wedding to his people.  When the Lord marries us, it will be forever without the slightest chance of disillusionment.  What then is the value of the things I bring him on that Holy day?
How do I bring him gifts?  What can my hands invent that I can bring him in my soul?  The Flesh, and all I can do,  will be nothing  on that day .  Nothing.  What then are these gifts I’m talking about?  Simply put, the gifts we bring the Lord are born of obedience to him today.  We bring honor to his wedding because we have let him do the work in us that brings his Father Glory.
We know what he wants.  We know who he is.  And we know who he wants us to be.  I’m really not sure I need to say anymore.

The Legend Waits

You’ve seen it in the movies, how someone is running away from a crumbling building.  For the sake of theatrics, they always manage to miss the last piece by inches.
Isn’t life like that?  What we build always seems to fall apart.  But by some fortunate circumstances, we are always inches ahead of the last falling peace.  The noise, the dust, the sparks that fly,  they are always behind us, or just brushing our shoulders.
But just as curiously, there is collateral damage.  Many are caught in the wake of catastrophe from our mistakes and mishaps.  And we, ourselves, are victims from the work of countless hordes of fools.  Death is the place where we emerge from the smoke and dust.
I wrote a poem called “Sorrow”.  The poem is the offspring of this realization.  With all sincerity, I desire that death should come.  Let it come and put an end to this catastrophic event called “My life”.
I don’t desire death because I’m lazy.  I desire death because of Jesus.  (The very same reason I’m still living.)  I desire death that there may finally be peace in the place where all I could bring was horror.  I desire death that his work may find completion.
How precious then are these words he has led, inspired or incited me to write.  Though they cause upheaval, it is for the better of every soul.  And as I have written before, as long as I live here these words remain concealed.
They are concealed because of the pride of Man.  As long as he can attribute an errant human to these words, he will not find them nor seek them out.  But take away the man and the legacy sprouts wings.  “He was ten feet tall.  He was the epitome of muscle and brain.  His heart was forever in the right place.  He was a saint among us!”
How wrong they will be.  But how useful is their error.  May God be glorified in Jesus His, Holy and Righteous Son for the sake of what He has done in this fool.

Employment Opportunities

Think about the example of business.  From the one who gets fired out of necessity, to the one whom they groom to lead the company, willful dedication is what they’re looking for.  Why doesn’t the apply to heaven?
There are grumblers and vile Souls who think there’s nothing wrong with the way they are.  How such people expect blessings from God is beyond me.  But they sure cry out for a blessing when they need one.  And there are people who dedicate their entire life to the things of God.  There is no possible way that God will leave them without blessing.

Want to get fired from heaven?  Just let your actions speak for themselves.  (Nothing in nothing out.)  Do you want to secure friendship with Jesus?  Do the things He commands us to do.

I don’t know where this logical train of thought falls apart.  But I see a whole lot more people who want to get fired, than I do those who desire His friendship.  No, I didn’t make a mistake.  They want to get fired.  “Poor little pitiful me, I just can’t do it.”

P.S.  Hell doesn’t offer unemployment benefits.
