Stupidity is Not Your Friend

They asked Charles to give the prayer at the Thanksgiving meal.  The only reason he was given the honor, is that he is the only one of them that attends church more than twice a year.

They all bowed their heads, and Charles cut loose.

“Good family.  Good meat. Good god! Let’s eat!”  Chuckles were heard, and the family left a “holy” things behind.

Was their conscience cleared by some stupid and ignorant prayer?  One might wonder, “What conscience?”.

As is the way with all men, everyone around that table will eventually die.  Such moments as those will be carried with every one of them.

As they stand before the Most High God to be judged, they will immediately sprout a conscience.  Stupidity and ignorance will no longer be their friends.

Here comes Thanksgiving, give it a thought.

The Shameful Testimony

Got hope?

I walk into Walmart to get some water.  200 people, or more, pass me by.  400 eyes look the other way.   They even teach their children well, “Avoid the weird man, honey”.

If this is what they do to a simple hat worn by a simple man, what will they desire to do at the blazing glory of the Lord Jesus Christ?

The Little Boy

In his striving to understand, man finds himself woefully lacking in wisdom.  By this perceiving, a man is forced to humility.  Pride grows tall on ignorance; a fertilized garden for weeds.

Shall we then make no attempt to understand?  Shall we close our lips lest our ignorance be revealed?  How should such a thing be, when all men are of the same stock?

The folly of men will judge other men.  By all means then, judge me.  Read my words and point your finger.  What is that to me?

I am but a little boy.

My understanding is so small.

So I gladly display my severe lack.

That my God maybe great in all.
