Ah! The Horror of Who I am.

KJV Bible

I have seen, with a meager eye, that it is the Lord who gives life.  He quickens the mind.  It is the Lord who allows the heart to beat one more beat.  He alone allows things to flourish.  And it will never be that anything shall exist without His permission and support.

What I see in a moment quickly fades behind my pride and wickedness.  But what I saw remains a memory, fit to teach.  Be humble before the Lord, we are commanded.  Yet our pride rises up from the depths of sin.  We wrongly think to ourselves, “I will rise up to worship the Lord Most High”.  Yet, what strength do you have that was not given to you by the One you desire to rise up and worship?  How foolish and futile are the thoughts man has of what is pure and eternal?

It is given to man that he should call out to the One who gives life.  It is not given to man to create anything.  It is given to us, simply to obey the One who makes all things.  And to show how futile the ways of man are, even as I type these words I hear my wicked heart balk at such things.  “No!  I am sufficient to myself!  I can survive without humility before the Lord of Hosts!  ‘I am, therefore I am’, says pride.

What a hopeless condition is the plight of man.  Locked forever in a battle of leadership against the Lord God who made us, this is my lot.  Unless hope comes from The Lord Himself, we have no hope.  Unless the God of eternity relents and extends mercy we are lost.  For He is eternal and we are but a flash of putrid folly.

All who consider their plight with wisdom will see what has been spoken here.  They will encounter that hideous sin within them.  And they will be caused to abhor their condition.  What shall we do?  We are left with one reaction.  And this is the design of God for man.  We will fall on our face and beg for sight.  “Have mercy, O Lord God of All, for we perish in our own vomit!  We are full and over flowing with hatred, pride, envy, and slander.  And woe to us!  For there is no remedy within us.”  And to add horror to horror, we realize that this is the plight of every man from birth!

Do not allow yourself to think that you are “mostly good”.  There is no sin in the Most High God!  And He will not allow anything impure to live forever.  If you find one misstep within you, that is sin.  And you are held accountable for it.  Nothing impure will ever stand before the Most High God.  Therefore, if there is found in you even one item of impurity, you will not stand.   Only what is God will enter eternity.  Do not allow yourself to be fooled by your pride.  “All have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God”.  Wether you believe this or not makes no difference.  It is a truth that will survive your destruction.   Be wise and consider the Holiness of God before you are forced to encounter Him come that day of judgment.  For it is surely coming.  And nothing but what is God will survive.

There are those who will read this and say, “I hate this message!  I hate all you self-righteous Christians!  I hate everything you say!  And if I could, I would wipe you off the face of this earth!”  So be it.  What was spoken here is truth.  And if you do not accept it, it remains truth.  All men are liars, but God alone is true.

Woe to the pride of man.  Woe to all who allow it to be their god.  Woe to all who spurn the sacrifice of Jesus.  And woe to everyone who loves sin more than the Holiness of God!   Woe to us all, but for the sacrifice of the Son of God!  Consider your ways and search yourself.  Then, if you still think you are blameless, allow the Father of Life to examine you.  Read the Bible.  Pray for understanding.  And He will show you your folly.  Nothing unholy will ever enter the presence of God!  If you reject the Son, you reject the Father.  And, in the end, it is you who will be rejected.

You think that those who grovel at the feet of the Most High God are the foolish ones in this world?  You will be rudely exposed come that day.  Nothing is hidden from the sight of the Lord.  And there is a Day when He will speak with pure clarity regarding the nature of man.  All men will hear the voice of God.  All men will perceive His Holiness.  And all men will be exposed for what they have done in regard to this message.

Be wise and consider your plight.  For that same plight rests on every man, woman and child.  Humble yourselves before the Lord of Hosts and beg for understanding.  Then, when you have received a portion of understanding, beg for more.  God is deadly serious regarding the nature of man.  And when He says that few will find the eternal hope, He is not joking or making speculation.  Strive with all you have to become one of those few.  “Make every effort to enter through the narrow door, because many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able to.  Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, ‘Sir, open the door for us.’  But He will answer, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’”  (Luke 13: 24, 25)

I beg you as one who is among you.  Seek the Lord while you remain in this place of blindness.  The day will dawn and there will be no place to hide.  Seek Him that you might become light now.  For there is no shadow of turning within the Lord God Almighty!  And there will never be.  Believe and be saved.  Reject this message and perish!

We are of those who are stricken with sin!  God has designed a place and a One which can save us.  But how very few come to an understanding of what is True.  I beg you, don’t allow these words to fall to the ground at your feet.  Take heed!  The time is passing right before your eyes!  And we will all give account of ourselves before the Majesty that is God.

Father, bless this word to those You choose.  All things are Yours.  You are Holy!  And there is absolutely NO shadow of turning from purity within You.  I deposit these words among the throng of my fellow men.  By Your Holy Grace, may Your will be done forever.  And may all who hate you remain in their hatred.  May all who seek You find the Hope You have provided.

God, the Father, has ordained an end to this place of testing.  And He has ordained a day for every man to seek His Face.  This is your day.  Do not say to yourself, “perhaps there is another”.  All who call upon the name of Jesus will be saved.  But this “calling” must be sincere; born of a heart aware of its plight.  He will judge the living and the dead.  And many will weep and wail at the judgment placed against them.  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly.  May the Father’s will forever be done!  Amen

A Vision of Great Value

As I sat before the Lord and spoke of many things, a picture came to me.  I saw a man sitting on a hill, just short of the crest.  Behind Him was Glory that I could not see.  It was too wonderful for my mind to conceive.  And it stretched out above the man from behind.  As this Glory extended beyond the man and over him, it faded into darkness.  And in that darkness was a place of torment.  Suddenly, I realized it was Abraham sitting there with Lazarus laying against him.  Abraham was calmly observing the souls in torment.  All the while the Glory of God was at his back.

Then I understood something I hadn’t even thought to ask before.  Why was Abraham sitting on that hill in the first place?  And why was Lazarus laying against him?  Why wasn’t Abraham enjoying the Glory of God behind him?  What was he doing to sit there and watch the horror unfold before him?

Abraham was remembering who he was.  And Lazarus was busy loving his friend.  Perhaps Abraham had brought Lazarus with him to survey the end result of certain behaviors.  Perhaps, having met and listened to Lazarus’ story of salvation from certain death, Abraham wanted to revisit the end of Lazarus’ story.   The story doesn’t tell us why he was there in the first place.  But what was Abraham learning, or remembering, as he sat there with Lazarus?

Abraham was learning and remembering that no man is righteous on his own merit.  He was learning the equitable nature of God’s wisdom.  He was remembering the Glory of God which was displayed behind him.  And he was watching the Glory of God which was displayed before him.  And in his very presence, Abraham’s body felt the warmth of Lazarus who had been rescued from that place of torment.  The lesson was dramatic to Abraham.  And he was busy with learning about the Holiness of the God who is all wise and pure in His judgments.  In a way, Abraham was experiencing a truth we should all learn with diligence.  We either respect the God of all Life, or regret will follow us for eternity.

We say, “But for the Grace of God, there go I”.  And we don’t know the full truth of that saying yet.  But wasn’t this what Abraham was doing there?  He was learning the truth of that saying first hand.  He had understood the value of that statement as he traveled this place of testing.  And now he was seeing the saying play out before his very eyes.  And along with the truth of horror, lay the truth of redemption and joy.  What a startling contrast!  And what an incredible tool for those who are allowed to taste life.

This story about Lazarus and the rich man is a truth we would do well to consider with great depth.  For there is such a place as Abraham was visiting.  And there is an Abraham who sits on that hill from time to time.  And there is a Lazarus who joins him for the sake of love.  And, sadly, there are rich men who inhabit that place of torment.

Pride has no place in the soul of a man of God.  We are all of those who receive God’s Grace.  And this story of Abraham is a vibrant lesson we would do well to take to heart.  Not one player in that story was God.  But each was receiving what God had apportioned to him.  Be wise and consider the outcome of your life.  That place is not far from any of us.

Father, I am glad at this vision You sent me.  My heart is filled with a glorious joy that You would have the mercy to let me see this.  I present this vision with words.  May all who read this be allowed to see the same picture with a vibrant clarity.  By the Marvelous Name of Your Son Jesus, I give you thanks.

By His Grace.

Who Killed this 14 Year Old Boy?

The Gay Pride march in London 1999

Image via Wikipedia

I just read an article about a 14 year old boy who killed himself.  The article says it was because he had been bullied by others for his sexual preference.  The article goes on to say that this is horrible and points to homosexual groups as saying that such things can be avoided if we would just be more tolerant.

What a foolish age I find myself living in.  When I was 14 I hadn’t heard anything about such sexual preferences.  You might say that my ignorance was something that belonged to that age.  And that today I need to catch up to the things which require tolerance.  Are you so blind that you don’t perceive what’s happened here?  It was not the boy who decided he was bent toward members of his own boyhood.  It was the adults who have made this item a matter of national interest.  You adults who promote your filthy sexual preferences as if they are worthy of national acclaim are the ones who killed this child.  You told him that he has every right to chase after every form of sin.  And he has paid the price for your foolishness.  You killed him by insisting that you have your own way.  You negate the Law of God so that you can chase after any pleasure you desire.  And you hate anyone who denies you this foolish “right”.

Hate me.  And you will.  Because I spoke the truth here.  And God will uphold these words.  The same could be said of those who drink to excess, then brag that they have the right to do as they please.  They teach the children how to sin.  The same could be said of you parents who allow yourselves to watch porn, or teach your children that a yellow light means speed up.  The same could be said of every adult who treats God’s Word the Bible as if it were simply a book of myths, and is only good because of it’s cover.  The same could be said of you who proclaim to be Christians yet your children never see you pray or consider God’s ways in your finances, relationships, or testimony.

Though we are all to blame for the horrifying mess this world is entering, there is no doubt that those who sin and teach others to do the same will be judged more harshly.  Withdraw your sin from public view and you will cause others to consider their ways also.  Proclaim that you have the “right” to be perverse, and others will be strengthened to do the same.

WOE TO ALL WHO CALL GOOD EVIL AND EVIL GOOD!

By His Grace.

But You Must Master it.

Abel

All day long temptation attacks.  Most people give in to their temptations without a thought.  They live as if temptation were something fun.  They encourage one another to accept their weakness with joy.  For their weakness only proves they’re human.  Haven’t you heard someone say this, “It’s ok.  You’re only human.”?  And so we see billions simply floating along as bubbles from a child’s wand.  We neither fight against the currents that carry us about, nor question why we falter so.

The Lord told Cain, “Why are you angry?  Why is your face downcast?  If you do what is right, will you not be accepted?  But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it.”  (Genesis 4: 6-8)  I have found that the Lord’s word is true when it says that the strength to master sin comes only from God.  Yet how many stop and devote themselves to prayer before a temptation has time to sprout roots?  And what do we see Cain do right after the Lord approached him with this tidbit of perfect words?  He went out in the field and killed his brother.  Is that how you find yourself obeying the word of God?  Is that all God’s wisdom means to you?  Are you tossed about because you simply don’t care?

There is a place where every man and woman will care deeply about how they accept the word of God.  Jesus told us that in that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  Is that what you want?  I doubt it.  So why not spend the time to look into your soul?  Dig as deep as you possibly can.

Bottom line, the question will remain, who do you truly desire to serve?  Do you desire pleasure over godliness?  Or do you desire that the Father find Glory in His child?  The power to overcome is present if we turn to Him with all our might and desire.  Yet the temptations remain pervasive in this world.  And they will not be taken out of the way.  Resist and find life or give in and remain in death.  He offers the power to live.  Will you take it?

One Thing Never Sleeps.

Leaves fall from trees, and they appear to sleep for a season.  Roll a ball and there is a place where it stops rolling.  Fill up your gas tank and it will eventually run dry.  A baby is born, one day becomes an old person then dies.  We sit down to a meal at a certain time.  And there also comes a time when the meal is done.

Everything in this world has a beginning and an end.  Well, this is true of almost everything.  There is something that never stops or takes a break.  Fill up an hour-glass with sand.  And turn the full portion to the top.  Watch the grains of sand drop.  And marvel at their exact rate.  Then consider that even if the hour-glass runs out time does not stop.  Wind up a watch and the spring will unwind.  But time doesn’t stop.  Only our measurement of time runs out.  But time does not sleep.  It doesn’t take a vacation.

Time is the only indication we have of eternity.  The physical manifestation of God’s existence.  None of us can imagine the time of God.  He always was and always will be.  He never sleeps or takes a vacation.  And nothing He does ever finds an end.  What the Lord does only transforms from one thing to another.

There is death.  And we could say that we cease to be at that moment.  But we would only be speaking from our perspective.  This is not so with God.  For at the moment of death, time does not stop.  And at that very moment we become the end result of our time here.

There is the Lord’s promise of good and bad in this situation.  Many will taste the place where nothing is beautiful, sweet, peaceful, or pleasant.  But some will taste eternity with an unspeakable joy.  The key to our next experience with time after we die here depends on our relationship with the Most High God.  He will never experience a place where He is not at peace.  For He is God!  But He has promised that if we do not learn to love Him here, we will certainly hate Him there.  And He will not allow anything wicked to enter His presence.

He has allowed us the sacrifice of His Son Jesus that we might enter into that eternal relationship with Him.  But this is the ONLY door to His presence.  Nothing ungodly will enter eternity with joy.  And only what He has built will stand the test of His Holy Fire.  All else will find itself in a place He has created to receive the trash of creation.  I encourage you to seek His peace now.  For time does not stop.  It is merciless as it travels through.  There is no such thing as a “do over” in life.  This is the day you have been given to accomplish the Holy Will of God.  And how can you know what His perfect will is if you don’t accept His Holy Will borne through the sacrifice of His Son Jesus?

What is Man That You Are Mindful of Him?

solor system creation

This message is to those who call themselves Christians.  It would make no sense to speak this word to those who do not believe.  Yet, even those who do not believe and read this with a desire to believe can benefit.

A man stands in a valley and feels the tiny breeze float across the valley floor.  The day is hot and the breeze is a welcome addition to the evening heat.  Where the breeze came from, where it will go after it touches the man, and how long it will last, are under the Mighty hand of The Lord of Life.  The man is happy to receive, and that is all he can be.  He did not create the valley.  He did not create the mountains from which the coolness of the breeze appeared.  He did not create himself, nor choose the place where he now stands.

So it is with the Love of God in our faith and belief.  We are the product of His Glorious Will.  He desired to create this place of testing according to His endless wisdom.  And we are only the product of an Endless and Beautiful Love which is our God.    We are of those who receive and become blessed by His Lovely touch.  And from our perspective, this is where we find our end.  We are receivers.  We are not providers or creators.  This realm belongs to He Who Is.  And, with great joy, those who are aged in His wise counsel, will appear as understanding such things.

We have no wisdom but that it comes to us from the Only Wise God.  We have no task we can do which will find a lasting value, but that we are given such things from He who works to cause life in His people.  When we pray we are given words, thoughts, feelings, and attitudes according to the Lord’s leading.  And we are keenly aware that we belong to Him who has No End.  When we speak of the Gospel, we speak with words that are only ours in that they found sound through us.  All things Good belong to He who is Good.  What work, word, attitude, or emotion, which belongs to the Gospel did any of us create?  Without His guiding and loving hand we are nothing.  But with His hand and guiding we are ambassadors of the Living God.  And all that I have just said remains held in the Glory of the One and Only Son, Jesus!

Why is this place?  Have you asked yourself that?  Why are we here?  Why are we set to receive the Glory of our God, Christ Jesus?  What is this place I have come to speak of as a “Place of Testing”?  And what should be our response to the answer if we could but know it?

This place is so that the Glory of God might be proved once and forever.  Why should the perfect and Holy God need to prove His Glory?  Because there was a place where one challenged the Holy Wisdom of God.  There was a place where a lie was born.  Yet it was not as we know lies.  It was a slight variant to God’s perfection.  A challenge was born and presented before the Most High God.  What was the challenge?  It’s not possible for me to know the words nor the time when it happened.  But in my limited understanding of our God, it went something like this.

“You ask too much.  You want perfection from Your creatures.  You demand perfection.  But You ask too much.  What you require of Your servants is not possible for us to endure.  You will ask.  You will demand.  And we will strive to comply.  But You did not give us the strength to endure.”

From what little I know about our God, I do not perceive Him arguing the point with the accuser.  Perhaps there was a word of thanks for the information given.  But the end of the conversation came quickly.  And God ended the conversation quickly as a display of mercy.  For, surely if this one could accuse the Most High God of an imperfection such as this, there was a whole lot more to come.  Why allow this one to fall deeper into rebellion than necessary at the moment?  Immediately, God knew what to do.  And without fail, He began what would be a marvelous reply.

What I perceive happened next was an order given to Jesus, the Word of God.  “Build a black void in this certain place.  Make it of such and such measurement. And place it in this certain place.”  And so it was done by He who is the very Word of God.  “Create lights within this void in these certain places.  Create them of this and make them shine according to my vision.”  And so it went until we come to the scripture announcing God’s crowning end to this creation, “Let us create man in our image”.  The two trees were planted and orders were given as to how they are to be treated.  “Of this one you cannot eat, or you will surely die”.

“And on the 7th day, God rested from His work”.   Now His answer to the accuser was presented as a place of testing.  A place was made where the accusation could play out.  And proof could be known, not spoken as an answer of words, to he who did not believe.

We are presented by the Mighty hand of God as an answer to he who accused.  We are tempted by he who accused.  And we succeed according to He who was accused unjustly.  We are become the answer to an accusation.  How much are we valuable to He who Lives Forever?  We are His spoken word.  We inhabit His will.  And we are His jewels according to His Great Wisdom.  How then should we act?  How then, shall we believe?  How then, should we build our faith in the Holy One of Israel?  And, how then, should we obey what we hear?

We do not serve out of fear.  For He who made us into His answer is sure in His Holy ways.  If my God desires obedience and all that I have, how shall I muster up a place to say no?  I am His.  I am a part of His answer to an unholy doubt.  How then, should I live with doubt?  I am proof of His Glorious will.  The power of God is within me to obey and to know He is True!  There is no fault within Him!  I will say it again, “There is NO fault within the Most High God!”  Any fault perceived remains within me.  And such things must be crushed into utter destruction.  By this I am provoked to believe to the point that I do.  What is this “doing” He demands from me?  He demands that I receive from His Holy Hand.  He demands that I believe that what He says He is willing and able to accomplish.  And He does not ask too much.  What He demands from His creation He provides the strength to accomplish.  Shall we join with the accuser and say this is not so?  It should never be so!

Set your heart to understand.  Set your soul to receive His gift.  For we are on display according to His Holy and Perfect answer to an accusation.  Remember how the Lord Jesus spoke of that one?  “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here.  I have not come of my own; but he sent me.  Why is my language not clear to you?  Because you are unable to hear what I say.  You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desire.  He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him.  When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.  Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me!”  (John 8: 42-45)

Stand firm upon this sure and singular truth:  God is true.  And there is no shadow of turning within Him.  Present yourselves as those who believe.  Put down your childish doubt.  Believe that you might do!  Hone your faith so that you might receive His Holy Will.  When we question and doubt we join with the liar.  I will say it once more with all the importance of eternity:  BELIEVE!

By His Grace.
