Test Yourself

Either the gospel is true, completely, or it is not.  The gospel says that Christ has come so that his people may become like him.  That’s either true or it’s false.

You will say to me, “Of course it’s true”.  Then why do I see so many, who claim to be Christians, walking exactly as the world tells them to walk?  Why is it virtually impossible to tell the difference between a Christian and an atheist?  Why do these people  love people yet hate the things of the Living God in Christ?

Each person needs to give account of themselves.  Each person needs to stop and take account of the things they do and say.

Many will think I am judging them because I have said this.  Judge for yourselves.  Look around and observe.  Do you see people who say they are Christians, acting like ambassadors of Truth?  Then of course, look in the mirror.

Would you like a litmus test?  How do you receive those people who speak about God?  Are their words more precious to you than all other people?  If not, do yourself a favor, ask yourself why.

Either our belief in Christ produces the will of God in us or it does not.

People will take what I’ve said here and do as they please with it.  May it please them to please God.

At Their Throat

See how people go about their day as if the will of God does not matter.  But hasn’t he put death in place to end their so-called freedom?

Yes.  Even while they smile and dance and laugh and sing, the hand of God is poised before their very throat.

God will have mercy on whom he will have mercy.  And those on whom God’s mercy rests will receive his endless Grace.  But to those who think this place of testing it’s simply a place of merriment and pleasure:

“Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book.”

Should I lie and offered you sugar-coated words?  The Living God is Holy.  So is his Holy and Righteous Son.  Amen.

Righteous Assessments

They criticized the alcoholic.
Because he is compared to those who are not.

They criticize the violent.
Because he has compared to those who take care not to hurt.

They criticize the drug addict.
Because he is compared to those who are fully productive.

People do these things among themselves, admitting that there is a righteous life.

How is it then that the lovers of money are not compared to the rule of God and Jesus?

How is it that those who lust after the flesh are not counted as sinful minded, when compared to the Glory of Christ in God?

How is it that those who look down on others do not look up in regard to themselves?

With Perplexity

“Are those gunshots in the streets?  Was that Ally’s 5 year old boy who was shot in the head tonight?”

Pay no mind to the violence.  Close your ears, close your eyes, close your mind, close your heart.  Go to your place of peace.

“Is that a nameless ignorant girl we see on the corner with a heroin needle in her hand?  Why that’s Bob’s daughter!  What a shame he lost control of his loved ones.”

Pay no mind to the violence.  Close your ears, close your eyes, close your mind, close your heart.  Go to your place of peace.

“What a pleasant place we have created.  What a beautiful place Society has made.  See how evil runs rampant at night, the place where we sleep in peace.  Who needs talk about God in our public squares?  We simply hire a janitor to clean up the blood.”

Pay no mind to the violence.  Close your ears, close your eyes, close your mind, close your heart.  Go to your place of peace.

“Who needs faith in Jesus when we have locks on our doors?  Who needs the power of God’s words among us, when all we need to do is move to the suburbs?  Who needs the miraculous intervention of the Holy One?  We have our laws and ways.  Let the wicked kill each other, we will sleep in peace.”

Come my brothers and sisters.  Count God as dead and useless.  Ignore the coming judgment.  Surely the wicked will find a place to live.  The loss of the Gospel among us in public is no loss at all.  It has proven, in fact, to be our blessing.  Even take notice that the righteous observe a restraining religion.  Who needs the gospel of Christ?”

As you say so it shall be.  As you do, it belongs  entirely to your home.  As you have failed to believe, so you will perceive.  You have chosen to build a paradise through the engine of fear.  You spurn the one who gives you a paradise by the engine of Eternal strength.

So be it.  Let all the nations turn with perplexity to the violence and blood in their streets.  See how they relegate obscurity to the Holy Words of Blazing Eternity.

So be it.

May your will be done Sovereign Father.  Prepare the place of contest.   Your Holy Son stands ready to deliver your will.  Your Righteous One, prepared to move at a moment’s notice.

Let them have their way until they are sure you are no more.  Then He will appear to their shock, amazement, and horror.

The Glory of your Holy ways is from forever to forever.  Rebellion cannot see you.  Let them puzzle their fate.  They choose their own way over yours.  Indeed, let them puzzle their fate.

Amen!

Why the Wrath, Here?

I sat with the Holy One, reflecting on the nature of things in this world.  I saw that His Holy Wisdom has been loosed in this Place of Testing; a Great display of His Majesty to sustain life, even among a people who detest His Holy Right to Rule.  Then I settled on a question.  “If the destruction of the wicked will surely come to pass, why bring the volume of the seven seals among Man?”

I did not mean to judge His Holy Wisdom to seal the end of this Place of Testing with violence.  I simply did not understand the necessity to bring the plagues upon humanity, since the destruction of rebellion will surely come to pass.

I asked this question.  He told me to go and write, as is the custom of revelation between He and I.  He spoke to Moses face to face.  He speaks to many in dreams.  He has spoken to me in the means of writing.

Let understanding come as it will.  The following is His answer.

They will receive (even in their place of flesh; even in this “place of testing”), the due penalty for their willful ignorance.  The punishment of wickedness will certainly begin while the consummation of the war against evil rolls toward finality.

It is not the state of man to endure this war.  It is not Man for whom this war has been engaged.  But it is the state of those who side with the unholy one to endure the same “ripping away of willful disobedience”.  Those who desire to side with evil will certainly endure that taste of coming and sure destruction.  All that belongs to the hands of the accuser will suffer loss, even while those hands are busily destroying.  Man is caught in the war between God and the accuser, whether he desires to be involved or not.

It is Man who is become the display of contention.  It is Man who is either saved for the Glory of Christ, or it is Man who is delivered to humiliation for the sake of he who is humiliated for his accusation against the Holy One Forever.

Who can understand the Holy Wisdom of the Most High God?  What man can speak of the beauty that belongs to He who Lives Forever?  As we endure in His Marvelous Mercy, so the wicked will surely endure in His Marvelous, Righteous, Just, and Eternally Powerful Wrath.  May the will of the Living God be done forever, and that in His Holy and Righteous Living Son, Jesus the Christ.  Amen.

Damaging Judgments of Memory

There was a fountain in the town square that used to be connected to an underground stream laced with sulfur.  When the fountain had been built the water was clean.  But over time a pocket of sulfur was released by the flow.

The people in the village knew to avoid the water in the fountain, and it’s no surprise they considered it a filthy thing.  It was obvious this was not a place of nourishment.

But for some unexplained reason, one day the water in the fountain ran clean.  For years the people in the village avoided the fountain, not caring that the water was pure.  They couldn’t forget what the fountain used to contain.

Instead of enjoying their newfound convenience, they would walk nearly a quarter mile to the fresh flowing spring outside the village to get their water.  By habit and a memory of insult, they refused to drink the water of the fountain.

Do we judge the value of a man by what he used to be?  Or are we diligent enough to take a look at what he has become?
