Useless Words (No Further Value)

What is good news to the one who thinks everything is just peachy?  Why is Christianity of such tiny esteem in this world?  Because a message is being promoted with the strength of greed.  The greedy recognize it as “profit”.  It “rings their bell”!

“We’ll give you a list of things you can do to receive accolades from everyone you know.  Righteousness will be yours by doing these simple tasks.  Think green.  Live United.  Refrain from volatile speech.  Consider everyone with equality.  Love, without reservation toward religion.  Embrace every thought, for every thought has eternal value.”

Who needs the Good News of the Gospel, when they have all the good news they can handle?  Who needs salvation, when there’s nothing wrong?  The only thing wrong in this world is the division caused by differing beliefs regarding what is good; that’s what they’ll tell you.  Isn’t that what’s being forced down the throat of every one of us?

Who will read the vibrant and living threats of God, when they have all they could ever want?  For $10.00, you can go to Wal Mart and buy more happiness.  Oh, I agree it won’t last long.  But their stock of “happiness” seems to have no end.  And eat?  Oh!  Eating we can do!  Utopia has come into view!  We’re finally free of that Living God stuff.  We don’t need Jesus!  We got it all!

Hmm.  I perceive a problem here.

The living threats of God are already on the way folks.  All the while, you live like tomorrow will be the same as today.

It is impossible for God to lie.  As surely as He has promised eternal life to those who humble themselves before His Majestic Holy Son, He will annihilate all who love this world more than Him.

You glorify your dead.  But less than a split second after the last breath, they are separated by the Judgment of God.  You glorify your greed and pride.  But God Glorifies His Holy Son.

If you knew what awaits you, just beyond your last breath, you’d perceive the Good News of the Gospel in a radically different light.

I’d tell you about the Love of God.  But you’d never understand from the perspective you now hold so dear.  The curious thing is, you have no stomach for the terror that is headed your way either.

I could speak to you with comforting words.  But you don’t warrant them.  I could speak to you with fiery words of Living Threat.  But you allow such words no authority among you.

What will you do, when you’re face to face (for the very first time) with the Living God?  I’ll fill in the blank for you.  You’ll desire to be anywhere but there.  You’ll quake in fear, like you’ve never felt before.

Here, death looms as a release from the things that bring you trouble.  There, there will be no place to hide.  No release.  No hope.  And no EXCUSES.

Toss this about a while.  Think about it.  As surely as The Living God lives, this will come upon all men who consider the Holy Son of God as a useless set of words.

Guilty Restraint

It is the guilty who over react to the presence of law enforcement.  They have failed to live prepared for judgement.

I see this best when I am driving.  Car passes me doing 5 miles over the speed limit.  Then a police officer’s car comes into view, stopped along the side of the road with his lights flashing.  That same driver who passed me at 5 miles over the speed limit, now does 5 miles under the speed limit.

As I passing by in the right-hand lane I marvel at his form of obedience.  Then it occurs to me: his reaction is of fear.  While I have been obedient and have no fear.

As I see this apply on the road, it also applies to life and to God.  “It is the guilty who over react to the presence of law enforcement.  They have failed to live prepared for judgement.”

The wise prepare, in them there is no fear.  The foolish do as they please, and fear controls them.

Heros Succeed

Who can speak fluently of the glorious challenge that lay before for the people of God?  All that is holy is expected, and rightly so, to cover us as if we are dressed in pure light.

Discretion, willing obedience, mercy beyond the ability of man, faithfulness in prayer regardless our current understanding, and a laying down of all that is wicked, these are things placed upon us by the King of kings and Holy Lord.

He is faultless and true in all his Holy way.  And his expectations are not too much.  For he is willing to grant all that is necessary for us to achieve.  It is we who are unwilling and frail.  Yet the expectations remain.

We are ambassadors of the One who dispenses life!  It is then appropriate that our attitude match the expectations.

How many billions have tried and failed?  How very rare that one succeeds. 

The world has its set of heroes; those who have met the expectations of the world and surpass them.  These are also rare indeed.  But the expectations of the world are small compared to those of God.  If only a handful meet the world’s expectations, how many less meet those of God’s?

Let us make every effort to rectify obedience.  Let us make every effort to add to our love for the Holy One of God. 

We have only one day.  We are not promised beyond the sunset.  Thousands will die today, sealing what they have done.  Will it be me?  Will it be you?  Which of us can know?

Make every effort to enter in: to do, to become and to glorify the one who has purchased us by His Holy Blood.  This is the expectation of God.  And it is placed squarely on the shoulders of those who profess the name of Christ Jesus.

May God have mercy and grant glory among all his people.  May the testimony of each one of us be that God is Holy!

Tying Virtue Tight

Mocking virtue is the business of those who have none.  It is not a business of jealousy or greed.  It is a business run by pure evil.

Yet to make a mockery of those who work in that factory, is to displace virtue with judgment. 

Those who work in high-rise construction often tie their tools to their person.  Care is taken for the sake of others below.

Those to whom virtue is displaced, are like a careless highrise worker.

Let those on the ground mock the workers in the air as they tie their tools to their wrists.  It is not because they lack control or dexterity. 

It is for the sake of those who mock, that we bind virtue tightly.  Judgment is reserved for he who never makes a mistake.

Let us make our assessments with the wisdom of God.  Those who mock can be a sincere distraction.  But let us keep clear and intense focus, that those who move below may have a place to live.

The Perennial, and Ominous Prayer

For well over two thousand years now, the holy men of God have been praying.  Do you know what they’ve been praying for?

In Christ Jesus they have lifted their voice, almost as unison!  And the Holy Lord of life has heard their words.  Do you know what words he has heard?

“Even so Lord Jesus come quickly!”

Before you were born, 10 million holy men, and more, prayed those words to the Lord.  Before you even knew there was a door to enter, there were men praying that it should be shut! 

The wickedness of this place was more than they could bear.  And the promise of the Holy One strains against the leash! 

But the clasp will be undone, and the leash will go slack.  The Vengeance of God will leap forth; irresistibly bent on conquest.  Every muscle, sinew and bone is pointed in the direction of the wicked.  And as the clasp is released, he will fly like lightning!

They prayed:

“Holy Lord God Almighty your law is being broken!  Look and see!  We testify to men of your holiness O’ beautiful God of all.  Now we kneel before you to testify before your Holy Throne. 

Look how they hate you, Sovereign God!  Look how they ignore your Laws of Life.  Look how they hate righteousness and love to be wicked.

Rise up oh Holy God and cleanse this place!  Bring about your Holy promise.  There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth!  Even So Come Lord Jesus!”

Did you know there are men praying this today?  Before you even know there is a door through which you must walk, men pray these things. 

They do not pray this to injure you; as if by their prayer they may bring up your destruction.  They pray this out of a sincere and deep love for God in Christ Jesus.  In this prayer is the kiss of peace they desire to give to the God who has saved them.

I would strongly urge you to present yourself to God today.  Look around you at the wickedness of this place.  It grows exponentially now.  What was considered forbidden only 30 years ago is now paraded in the streets!  How much longer do you think it will take before the Holy Lord answers the prayer of these beautifully holy men?

Two cats

Two cats lay dead on the road this morning.  They were squished by something far larger than themselves.

They came to that place to argue, fight and kill.  So which one is the victor?  I suppose one may say, “The one to die last.”

They could not conceive there was something greater than their greed.  So they held their worthless ground until judgement was passed.

Is this is what you want?  Are you determined to be the last one to die?  Why do you approach your brother with a callous heart?  Will you stand your worthless ground until all is done?

Do you really think you will escape the greater judgement?  For now you think your judgment is righteous.  But there is one who is waiting to lay low.

If the cats could have understood, they would have made fast friends of one another.  They would have watched each other’s back.  They would have died in peace together under a tree.

Check your foolish wisdom at the door.  The only right you have is to obey the commands of the living God in Christ Jesus His Holy Son.

Think about it.  That light approaching is the largest semi you have ever seen!
