Can God Murder?

Many consider God at fault because they were hurt by the death of a loved one.   “It’s God’s fault he’s dead”.  “I hate Him”.  “I’m angry at God for taking . . . . . .”   And so on.  I don’t want to make fun of the tragedy of losing a loved one.  But there needs to be said that God is good.

How do we balance the loss of our love with a Good God?  Consider what our life is.  He gave us life in this place of testing.  And when He decides to finish our test where do we go?   We go into eternity.  We perceive life here as the end of things.  “I’m alive and I don’t want to die”.  Ok.  But your very life here was a gift from God the Father of Life.  And when He is ready, He brings you into His presence.

It’s a New Day For You!

When Jesus makes you into a new man or woman, it is a true transformation.  No religion can do what He does with just the touch of  His hand.  “Behold.”, He says softly, “All things are become new”.  Slowly, we realize something has changed.  And step by step He leads us into true righteousness and holiness.  Though we are able to stifle His work, the promise remains for all who receive His gift of eternal life.

What men see in you will not be what you see.  To them, you’re just a fool who thinks he’s better than everyone else.  You’ll begin to speak of heaven far more than your friends.  You’ll begin to revere the name of Jesus, which they take as a curse word.  Those who knew the old you will hide from you.  They will cast you away as if you were yesterday’s garbage.  But you know better.  See, the Kingdom of Heaven has come upon you.

Now, if this is your case, why do you doubt?   Don’t let the blind tell you that you can’t see.  You know better than that.  They will accuse, for that is what your old father (and their present daddy) has done from eternity.  Don’t be dismayed.  You are a new creation.

The Banquet is Served.

Come on in.  Welcome!  I’ve been waiting for you.  I mean YOU!  The one who’s reading this right now.  Welcome!

Sit here.  You look tired.  How is your life of late?  Are you alright?

Allow me to serve please.  It is my great honor.

Here before you are the delicacies of heaven.  Some things will taste a bit strange at first.  But after you get the hang of the taste, you’ll never want the old stuff again.

Here’s a bowl of forgiveness.  I know, you’ve rarely had much of this.  But don’t worry, it’s a marvelous dish.  What’s that?  Is it made of artificial ingredients?  OH NO!  Never!  This was prepared by the Master Chef.  Everything He used to make it came directly from the Father’s garden.  That’s the pattern of all His food here.

Would you like some guidance?  Ha ha ha.  No, I’ve got no useful advice.  I mean would you like a dish of His guidance.  It’s pure and fresh.  You’ll find it refreshing.

And may I offer you a glass of water?  It’s from the Spring of God.  You’ve never tasted anything like this.  It will well up with in you.  Just a sip and you’ll be more useful than you’ve ever imagined.

I’ll leave you for a moment to enjoy your bounty.  I only ask that you remember it was “He who cannot lie” who has provided everything here.  You are blessed by His Grace as you eat.  Enjoy.  I’ll be back in a little while to see if you need anything more.

By His Grace.

The Modern Wisdom?

Observing a thread of posts by those who label themselves atheists, I am caused to wonder:

You are asking questions of those who testify of God’s Grace.  You are asking questions as to the origins of the Bible.  You are seeking, or so it would seem, to understand what Christianity is.  This has gone on now for some time.  Much of the testimony you have received is solid and sure footed.  But you continue to ask for more testimony.

I perceive what you are doing as if you are holding court over the truth we claim.  Testimony after testimony is brought before you and you ask another question.  When is the verdict due?  Or do you think that by this line of questioning  you validate yourself?  Render a decision.  What are you waiting for?  You will never gain the proof you’re seeking.  In the end it will still be a matter of faith.  And you are not new to this cross examination.  Look what Paul wrote:

“Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom,  but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.  For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength.”  (1 Cor. 22-25)

You will search out our testimony.  But in the end of this foolishness you will be left with nothing.  Consider your own testimony regarding Jesus.  What do you say?  Render your verdict.  The central point of what we testify is that you will give account of yourself to this God you’re trying to prove.  Don’t think that you will be admired by Him because you dissected His people’s faith.

Captured and Released to a Better Promise

All day long, every day, and that without faltering, He holds out His Gorgeous hands to a withering people. His strength is Great and He is not dismayed. His people know Him who calls from Heaven. And through them He has commanded the giving of His testimony. We are a people cut from the dust to serve the Living God of eternity.

You are one of His; captured and released to a better promise. Stand strong and brave, bold and ceaseless in your testimony on His behalf. We are very near the end of our time and the times.

To all who worship Him in truth and spirit, shake all sin from your limbs. The time is here to act with great and sure steps. We are His! There is none like Him and we testify to His Glory.

By His Grace.

Consider:

What would you do, and how would you act, if the Lord made it plain to you that you were the last Christian left on earth?  If nothing would change, then fine.  But if you search yourself with serious sobriety and find anything lacking, why not focus and fix it?

We do as He allows.  And no one, NO ONE, does anything truly good without His power and will.  Likewise, no one can do anything to you but that God allows it to be done!  STAND!

By His Grace.
