The physics of miracles

He raised the dead.  He healed broken and twisted limbs.  He gave sight to the blind.  He opened the ears of the deaf and the mute spoke.

He cleansed a leper.  He made an axe head float in water.  He made a dry path through the sea.  For 40 years the Israelites wandered in the desert and not a piece of their clothing deteriorated.

There is not room in this blog nor in the world to contain the miracles that God has done among us.  Yet they are only miracles according to our perception.  The things that God has done among us, those things which we call miracles, are in fact a visit from the way of heaven.

Here in this worldly experience, the physics God has placed upon us determine if something is normal or miraculous.

My dear friends I contend that what we call miraculous would be normal in heaven.  So then, the true miracle is that God’s mercy came to sinners such as we and performed signs from heaven that we might believe and be saved.

“Matter”, the scientist said.  What he meant was mass and volume.

“Matter”, the philosopher said.  What he meant was the substrate from which physical existence is derived.

“Matter”, the business man said.  What he meant was anything that promotes profit.

“Matter”, the parent said.  What he meant was “Let’s get real”.

“Matter”, said my heart.  What it meant was that God should prosper because of me.
