Can You Explain?

We say with some semblance of a surety, “God cannot lie”.  If that is true, then how can you explain your lack?  How is it that so many have a form of religion but deny the power of it?  You have agreed that God cannot lie!  How then are you weak, O’ Church of the Living God?

You are like those who entered near to the land of Canaan.  You testify that God will fight for you.  But you make not one step toward the war!  With proclamation of great and glorious words, you live a lie

You agree with the Holy words of Christ, “You will know the truth and the truth will set you free”.  But you are bound up in fear.  Are you able to explain this?

If a man buys a new car, he is filled with pride and tells all his friends about his beautiful possession.  He washes it and waxes it, parks it in a safe place, and takes great care of his great possession.  (Isn’t this true among so many of you?)  With confidence he drives it, for he trusts it with all his heart.  His heart is full of pride and joy as people see what he has.

Great big church buildings!  High-tech fills them.  The seats are plush.  The ornaments of religion are carefully and artistically drawn.  You have agreed with this construction and spent good money to accomplish your desire. Yet every Sunday, without fail, they are filled with people who do not believe!  Can you explain this?

You leave evangelism to those who are professionally trained to do.  Why?  They urge you and urge you to do the same, yet you fear to speak His Holy Name.  Can you explain this?

The power of God’s Holy Spirit and His people has become forced to hide.  There is no difference between those who say they are politically correct and those who proclaim they are Christians.  Those who worship the creation and deny the Holy God his Holy place, are the same as those who proclaim they are eternal beings!  Can you explain this?

I will tell you why these things are so.  But what is done about it is up to you.  You have exchanged the Glory of God for the glory of man.  It is as our truth-filled God has spoken.   “You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves in the day of slaughter”.

It is true, God cannot lie.  Will you take the time to believe his promise toward those who do not love him?  Are you willing to fear God and stop fearing man?  Are you willing to sprout legs and stop being a worm?  Are you willing to soar on eagles wings, abandoning your hole in the ground?  Isn’t the choice entirely yours?

ONE

It is happening all over the world.  In broad view of every man, God is saving souls.

From the meager child who believes that the Bible is true, to the great man of God who displays the works of God by his faith.  The testimony of God blazes clearly.

Who will open his heart to humility that he may understand?  Who will take a long hard look at his own heart and ways and mind?  Who is willing to risk all he has for all there is to gain?

There is but one God, the living God.  There is but one Holy Son, Jesus the Christ.  And there is but one power of truth given to men, the Holy Spirit.

The world will call these things opinion, for they have so many variations of religion.  But the power of eternal life is proven in Christ Jesus, the Holy Son of God.  If you humble yourself in prayer and earnestly seek the face of God, you will know that these words are true.

Useless Words (No Further Value)

What is good news to the one who thinks everything is just peachy?  Why is Christianity of such tiny esteem in this world?  Because a message is being promoted with the strength of greed.  The greedy recognize it as “profit”.  It “rings their bell”!

“We’ll give you a list of things you can do to receive accolades from everyone you know.  Righteousness will be yours by doing these simple tasks.  Think green.  Live United.  Refrain from volatile speech.  Consider everyone with equality.  Love, without reservation toward religion.  Embrace every thought, for every thought has eternal value.”

Who needs the Good News of the Gospel, when they have all the good news they can handle?  Who needs salvation, when there’s nothing wrong?  The only thing wrong in this world is the division caused by differing beliefs regarding what is good; that’s what they’ll tell you.  Isn’t that what’s being forced down the throat of every one of us?

Who will read the vibrant and living threats of God, when they have all they could ever want?  For $10.00, you can go to Wal Mart and buy more happiness.  Oh, I agree it won’t last long.  But their stock of “happiness” seems to have no end.  And eat?  Oh!  Eating we can do!  Utopia has come into view!  We’re finally free of that Living God stuff.  We don’t need Jesus!  We got it all!

Hmm.  I perceive a problem here.

The living threats of God are already on the way folks.  All the while, you live like tomorrow will be the same as today.

It is impossible for God to lie.  As surely as He has promised eternal life to those who humble themselves before His Majestic Holy Son, He will annihilate all who love this world more than Him.

You glorify your dead.  But less than a split second after the last breath, they are separated by the Judgment of God.  You glorify your greed and pride.  But God Glorifies His Holy Son.

If you knew what awaits you, just beyond your last breath, you’d perceive the Good News of the Gospel in a radically different light.

I’d tell you about the Love of God.  But you’d never understand from the perspective you now hold so dear.  The curious thing is, you have no stomach for the terror that is headed your way either.

I could speak to you with comforting words.  But you don’t warrant them.  I could speak to you with fiery words of Living Threat.  But you allow such words no authority among you.

What will you do, when you’re face to face (for the very first time) with the Living God?  I’ll fill in the blank for you.  You’ll desire to be anywhere but there.  You’ll quake in fear, like you’ve never felt before.

Here, death looms as a release from the things that bring you trouble.  There, there will be no place to hide.  No release.  No hope.  And no EXCUSES.

Toss this about a while.  Think about it.  As surely as The Living God lives, this will come upon all men who consider the Holy Son of God as a useless set of words.

Sweet Dreams are Made of These

I was at a truck stop scanning in my papers while I listened to a song that was playing.  The song is “sweet dreams are made of these”, by the Eurythmics.

I’ve heard that song hundreds of times before.  But the power of what she was saying dawned on me like the rising Sun.

Everyone is looking for something.  That must mean we are all compelled to search.  And she’s right.

The variety of religions in the world range from obedience to what they call holy law, to the abuse of self and others.  Regardless, men search as a compulsion.  This is proof that there is something to be found.  Even the atheist searchs diligently to disavow the search.  But his activity proves there is something to be disavowed.

How happy then is the one who finds it?  How secure in his way, does his life become?  And what great peace should overshadow him 24 /7?

Christ is the answer.  He is the one that is provoking the search.  The errant things men do are caused by their misunderstanding.

If you would have what everyone is looking for, search diligently into the things of Christ Jesus.  You are compelled to search. Why not search what is true?

If a man can’t find the truth he’ll create his own series of lies.  But I testify that the Living God is alive among his people in Christ Jesus.

Christianity is a Promise

Christianity is counted as a religion.  Even many who call themselves Christians treat it as such.  But Christianity is no religion of man at all.  Please give me liberty to explain.

There are three tribes of men before the Holy Lord’s eyes.  Those who uphold the law of Moses.  Those who depend on the law of Moses, as if beggars .  And those who have never known the law of Moses.

The first live by that law, and are guardians until the end of this place.  The second, hope toward that law.  For they suffer greatly without its benefit.  The third make their own law according to the shadow of the laws of Moses.

The first are the Jews.  The second are the Samaritans.  And the third are the Gentiles.

(In this I speak to those who do not know.  What I have said can be considered full of fault by the scholars of the Bible.  But let it be and watch how it develops.)

I am a Gentile.  Until I was in my thirties I had not desired of the law of Moses.  I heard of the Ten Commandments but did not care, for I did not know their source.  I heard rumors of some things the law commands, but paid no attention, for they were laws given to “holy men”.  I was not holy and so I did not care.

Then Christianity came to me, and I understood the sacrifice of Christ.  Like a child, I accepted by faith that what he said was true.  But unto this day, I have lacked the understanding in full.  And until I die and appear before him, my understanding will be but a shadow of truth.

But I woke from a dream this morning.  And with my waking, a greater understanding has come.  Christianity is not a religion.  Christianity is an engagement.  Christianity is a promise from the Holy Lord.  An honourable promise of marriage from he who is fully honorable.

In the dream I saw two men and a woman.  The first had come to her house but did not belong there by reason of broken promise.  In the past he had been her husband.  But divorce had separated them.

The second had promised to be her husband, after she became divorced.  And with consistant servitude he loved her.

The first came bearing a gift she desired.  He offered it to her in front of the second man.  The second man heard and saw clearly.

The first one held out the gift and said, “I am your husband so I give you these things”.  Her hands reached out to receive.

Knowing he could not say the same, the second one prepared to leave.  Tossing his cell phone to the first man, he said, “This belongs to her you will need it”.  And the last of the dream was when he opened the door of his car to leave.

After that I woke, and understanding came faster than my eyes could open.  The compassion of God is a promise that cannot be broken.  But the will of man determines his response to the promise of God.  Will he hold to what is?  Or will he return to where he came?  Will he love the one who loves him?  Or will he love the promise of the one who has abused him?

It is as if a great and rich man lived in a high mountain land.  He looked to the valley below and saw the plight of many young women; how they were mistreated and sold as if property.

In the passion of his great heart, he took mercy as his guide.  He carved out a place in his vast mountainous property.  And as his workers planted wonderous trees and vegetation.  Making long beautiful meadows, with glimmering lakes and houses, he went down himself to select his brides.

He is an honorable man and his promise can be believed.  He gave rings to all who asked; rings as a seal of his promise.  Those who received would later be called to inhabit the place he is making.

Some of the women separated themselves in waiting for his promise.  But many held the promise as if from their fellow citizens.  To them the promise was less than honorable.  So they gave themselves to the men of the land; keeping themselves in abusive relationships, mindless of the promise given.

But his promise is true and faultless.  And when the time came to gather his brides, he sent out his servants to bring them.  All of them were dressed according to his honourable promise.  All of them were prepared for the wedding.  He had prepared a place for every one of them to live.

Those who had separated themselves for the sake of his honor were kept in high esteem.  But those who did not believe were given a lower place.  Nevertheless his honor is true.  As he has promised he will do.

Religion is of man.  It is his way of serving his version of God.  His belief dictates his religion.  Religion becomes a doing of a man’s understanding of God.  But the religion from God (what He does) is honorable and pure.  It is he who has extended his own desire.

Men will do as they do.  But God is.  We worship as if blind men.  But God sees with perfect eyes.  In our religions we lie, for understanding within us is but a shadow of truth.  But the religion of God is faultless and pure.  The intent of God to save is Holy honorable.

Christianity is not a religion of man.  Christianity is a promise from He who cannot lie.

P.S. I have written this because of the dream.  If people will understand it, then they will understand it.  If they do not understand, or even contend with me on some issues, what is that to me?

What you see here is not an attempt to teach.  It is an altar representing a gift from my God.  I have marked a place according to his command for me.  “Write and do not care who reads.”

May God receive glory according to his great riches in righteousness.

Provocation

From the beginning of this blog until now, I have always spoken of things much higher then are easily attained.  Many would look at me and say, “He is surely a hypocrite.  No one can attain to these things he writes.”

I have written that Christians have a command to judge rightly.  So I cannot fault my brothers for such an assessment.  It is right that we should test every spirit, and not be willing to embrace every man who comes along and says he is in the name of Christ.

But I will say two things in this regard.  I do not search to defend myself, there is one who knows.  But I desire to enhance our Christian walk for the glory of the one who knows.  I perceive that the family of God has squandered many things for far too long.

1.  I ask you not to judge me as a man.  That would be of no benefit for anyone.  For you will surely find fault.  I am still in flesh and I am among you even as you are.  Rather I ask you to judge what is here by its content.

Does it prod and provoke faithfulness to the Holy One of God?  Does it compromise and equivocate to the things of this world?  Or does it point at man and say he is shameful, while standing in the shadow of the Holy One?

2.  Yes I have been a hypocrite against the things I have written.  There are times when such things have been too high for me to reach.

But should this place represent the things that are easily grasped?  Would that not be to be as others who write only of the sweet things?

I have been cut to the heart many times by the things the Lord has provoked me to write.  And thus this place is tested, even by the one who has written it.
______________

I have been severely challenged by the Holy One in all these things and more.  I, like you, am in the process of becoming.  I have in my mind to overcome.  I do not think it proper to honor him with anything less.  And in the same way, I present these things to my brothers.

If there are five of us left, should we be less than his desire?  And if there are 10 million of us left should this be true?

The earth is not shaken by mediocrity.  It is less by the sin that covers its surface.  If God’s people will aspire to what is best, what can be accomplished?

And so I pray and live and write toward the things that are best.  I refuse to back down!  I purpose to strive for the very best.  He is honorable in all things!  And it is right to bring him what is best.

Let the judgment of man be pointed toward me, I am not hindered.  I will aspire to rise, by His Holy Grace!

The Holy One holds in his hand such magnificent gifts.  Not only is his promise true for the place we are promised to inhabit,  but he has spoken his desire that we should have the fullness of His glory, to man, even now.

It is written “To perfection there is a limit.”  Yet which one of us can say he has attained?  I refuse to believe that the perfection God grants, in his holy wisdom to men, cannot be reached.  He does not ask too much of us, and he provides all that is necessary to attain!  And I have every intention of seeing how high, on his holy mountain, a man is allowed to climb.

May God have glory through all his people and this through Christ Jesus His holy and Righteous Son!  Let us say “enough” to mediocrity!  Why should we not rise to the things of Stephan, Enoch, Abraham, Moses, Gideon, the Apostle John and the like?

Thrice Holy is the Soverign Lord who bought us!  How should we linger and languish as only religious men?
