Alpha and Omega

I wake and consider what heaven is; what eternity is made of.

I know you, like me , have heard all the stories 100,000 times. Still we can’t understand the Majesty of Jesus.

The nature of his Majesty is faithfulness and righteousness. He has always done the will of his Holy Father, and he always will.

No one else has ever been that faithful. No one ever will. No one can. No one else has been with God from the beginning. No one else has been tested as he, yet found blameless and pure. He is first and best in absolutely everything. That’s why he is perfectly trustworthy.

We can’t perceive his glory. It’s simply not possible. And even though we know the nature of the wilderness in which he was tested, we can’t possibly understand his strength of love for God to endure with absolute purity.

These thoughts are just a beginning to the things of The Faith. But from this place, the glory of God among us explodes into every possible good thought and deed.

As foreign as it is among men, it is appropriate to speak words of glory for Jesus. Even while we debate what people would think of us if we spoke like that, all of creation in heaven has been doing it since the beginning. And without the slightest embarrassment or hesitation.

I know I’ve said these things before. I know I’ll say them again. And I know a time is coming when I won’t stop.

These are not just words. They are a door to joy. They are a window to eternal glory. They are a hand extended from heaven to lift us up from this place of death and trouble.   They are the pure strength we’re looking for.

The Tower of Babel

They gathered together and said, “Come let us build a city that reaches to the heavens so that we can make a name for ourselves”.  But it was not time in the history of man under God to do such a thing.

We are living in the time when God has released man to do as he pleases.  The language of man is not being confused, it is unifying.

People call all their inventions “good”.  But look, where is God in all of this?  If God alone is good, and he has been stripped of his glory among men, how can this be good?

When the people chase after the things they want and love, once they strip themselves of the bounds of God’s rule, they never go back.  But God’s rule doesn’t change.  His demands and commands are life.  If the people try to avoid him, they curse themselves with death.  It can’t be any different.  And everyone, deep down inside, knows this is true.  “If you love me you will keep my commands.”  The inverse is true: “If you hate me you will despise my commands.”

With all that we have invented, we have become nothing.  Blindly, they think they are creating a paradise.  There is no celebration in the grave.

Three Advantages

The ones who love God have three things happen to them.
They are despised on this Earth while they love the one who made them.  Somehow such open love is considered illicit.
But when they leave this place they go to be with the one they have loved so dearly.  They are ushered into Eternal Joy with open arms.  For they have proved they love him more than these.
And the third thing that happens to them is most fascinating.  Their name, their words, their actions, are all rolled onto a pedestal called Legend.
Man is curious.  He will despise and kill his enemy, then he will raise his enemy to Legendary status.  With the same words he uses to lie, he now tells fanciful stories about this one who is no longer among them.  By this, the work of God’s people is multiplied many-fold.
In these three things, the love of God is greatly glorified.  See how the wisdom of God works to glorify love, life, righteousness, Justice, compassion, grace, and mercy.  And all these things are in the being of his holy and righteous son Jesus!
So be it.

Anacondaian tapeworms

I was filling out the work order for today’s work.  I drew and N.  I noticed how it was misshapen.   I thought to myself, “Well you’re just not perfect are ya”.
LIGHT BULB!
How bad is self righteousness?  How foolish to look down on others when we are so horribly imperfect ourselves.  But don’t we do it all day long?
Imperfection lives in us like a hungry Anaconda; always looking for someone else to devour.  And it’s impossible for a man to kill that massive tapeworm.  You need the Lord Jesus to rule over your thoughts.

And how unenlightened are those who tell the Christian he has no right to judge.   The Christian isn’t judging, my friend.  He’s trying to tell it to you like it is.  But see how your self-righteousness gets in the way of your ears.
Sigh……….

In the Blink of an Eye

Have you looked into the coming future of Man?   Do you know about the utter devastation of all wickedness?  Do you know how sure it is?

At the very moment of Eternity when God lips cease speaking the command, a devastating and eternal blow will be sent to all this darkened the creation.  Like a lightning bolt that strikes a pea, the earth and all this black universe will be no more.
Everything man currently loves will become nothing more than a floating ember of ash.  Absolutely nothing, of even the dust, will remain.
Heaven will move, taking its rightful place.  This place of testing will be no more.  The joy and righteousness of God will prevail forever.
When this happens it will be as if this place has never existed.  All the things men love will be gone.  And it will happen in the blink of an eye.
It will happen faster than it takes an atheist to remember he has said there is no God.  Have you considered these things with serious and vibrant desire?  Or have you been like so many others?
Lashed to a portion of the ship, the man proclaims there is no storm.  The ship is tossed 45 degrees to the left, then is forced the other direction 90 degrees.  All the while he stupidly proclaims, “There is no storm”.
It’s easy to see there is no common sense in such a man.  Are you living your life like that?  Or are you letting common sense cause you panic?
Such realization ought to send us to the words of God.  Truly believing this ought to make our fingers tremble as we turn the pages.  Is this the way you see people reacting to this News?
It doesn’t matter how we respond, does it?  It doesn’t matter what comes of us when God puts an end to all the things men have loved.

Heaven will gain its rightful place, that place that this place of wickedness has consumed for so long.  And it won’t matter whether we believed this or not.
I urge you because I love you, think about this.  If I despised you I would say nothing.   Please let your mind think this through.

The Legend Waits

You’ve seen it in the movies, how someone is running away from a crumbling building.  For the sake of theatrics, they always manage to miss the last piece by inches.
Isn’t life like that?  What we build always seems to fall apart.  But by some fortunate circumstances, we are always inches ahead of the last falling peace.  The noise, the dust, the sparks that fly,  they are always behind us, or just brushing our shoulders.
But just as curiously, there is collateral damage.  Many are caught in the wake of catastrophe from our mistakes and mishaps.  And we, ourselves, are victims from the work of countless hordes of fools.  Death is the place where we emerge from the smoke and dust.
I wrote a poem called “Sorrow”.  The poem is the offspring of this realization.  With all sincerity, I desire that death should come.  Let it come and put an end to this catastrophic event called “My life”.
I don’t desire death because I’m lazy.  I desire death because of Jesus.  (The very same reason I’m still living.)  I desire death that there may finally be peace in the place where all I could bring was horror.  I desire death that his work may find completion.
How precious then are these words he has led, inspired or incited me to write.  Though they cause upheaval, it is for the better of every soul.  And as I have written before, as long as I live here these words remain concealed.
They are concealed because of the pride of Man.  As long as he can attribute an errant human to these words, he will not find them nor seek them out.  But take away the man and the legacy sprouts wings.  “He was ten feet tall.  He was the epitome of muscle and brain.  His heart was forever in the right place.  He was a saint among us!”
How wrong they will be.  But how useful is their error.  May God be glorified in Jesus His, Holy and Righteous Son for the sake of what He has done in this fool.
