There, it is.

I look within myself, and I find it.  I look at the words of every man, and I find it.  I look at my errant deeds and I find it.  I look at the errant deeds of all men, and I find it. 

It is in the words of the wicked.  It is in the words of the socially righteous.  It is there in every advertisement for profit.  It is in every enticement to sin.  It is in every political statement and desire.  And to the great shame of humanity it is in every religion of man.

What am I finding that is so very replete?  What is it among men that can be so very blatant, yet so incredibly and deftly hidden?  Every man is blind and deaf to its presence.  Yet by his words and deeds his agreement is obvious.

Every man who has ever lived, has desired to put Christ last.  Only those who are driven by the Holy Spirit of God, rightly desire to put Christ in his proper place as First.  Everyone on earth, and everything of men, disagrees with the Glory of Christ Jesus.

Do yourself a favor and ask why.  The Living God, the Holy Father of all life, has put his Holy Son as first of all things.  At the unveiling of Glory, every men will perceive his irrevocable Kingship.  And what a great surprise it will be.  Yes, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Morning comes.

Despite the desire of drunkenness, daylight arrives.

Sleep ends.

Despite the depression of soul, waking dawns.

Sobriety dawns.

Despite the obsession with sin, Souls awake.

Judgment explodes.

Despite the secrets of man, Accounting yells.

Who was ready?

Who was prepared?

Who saw it coming?

Who shouts with joy?

Whose mouth is opened despite his will to keep it shut?

Surprise!

Men plot in their heart and in their mind they devise means of gain.  They believe such things are hidden.  They think they can do these things in secret. 

They whisper together in inner rooms.  They carefully lay out the plan.  ” We will keep this to ourselves.  When it has come to fruit then all will know.  But it will be too late for them, and we will gain.”

Thus men conspire against the people and the Lord.  The people are caught unaware.  But the Lord has seen from its inception.

“Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” (Jeremiah 23:24)

Do not be deceived all men will answer to God.  The wise consider these things with trembling heart.  The violent greedy give it no thought at all.

CS Lewis has said that in the way of salvation, on the day when all things are revealed, there will be surprises.  He was speaking of who will be saved and who will not.  But there will be stark surprises for many who thought their sins were hidden.   The sad thing is, those who plot in secret will never read this post.
