Spiritual Pedophiles

image

I couldn’t sleep.  I got up and looked to see what the people say.  And I found this.

At first I was irritated.  Then I saw it with eyes of Truth.  As my soul rested to think in Christ, this scripture came to mind:  “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

They throw the pedophile in jail.  And aren’t the people happy that such a violent and offensive man is taken off the streets.  If they release him back into society, they put signs on his front lawn.  And everyone knows,  “This is a destroyer of our children”.

All the while, so-called righteous men of this world  destroy the faith their own children.  And no one says a word!!!!!!!!

But isn’t this your time!  Don’t the souls of men belong to you to do as seems right to your perverted mind.

The courts of men, the Christians, the decent people, they will not inhibit your desire.  But the Court of God will judge rightly!  But isn’t this your day to do as you please.

Errant Blind Souls

If I could train my foolish brain to recognize people as errant blind souls wandering in a suit of flesh, I believe forgiveness would flow like a river.  Though there is forgiveness as I live in Christ, it is often by compulsion.  It’s rarely the first thought.

I think about the reason for this inability to perceive correctly and consistently.  I think it has something to do with the deluge of trinkets and baubles which mask the true Man.

Perhaps it was slightly easier in early Christianity, where there were less objects of affection to be had.  I can’t possibly know, and I don’t think anyone will ever be able to say for sure.  Only God truly knows.

Pride certainly holds a relevant kingship when it comes to masking the true soul of a man.  And doesn’t pride come in such a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and intensity?  But Pride’s robe is made up of all the things a man may amass to declare his kingship over his own soul.  To get to the heart of a man you have to slice through the garbage.  Undoubtedly, recognizing people as blind errant souls gets far more difficult as the abundance of wealth gathers to hide them.

And I think it’s appropriate here to mention that the abundance of things that hide a soul need not necessarily be costly items.  There is the wealth of social alienation.  This alienation relies chiefly on violence as its display.  From ignoring to  physical violence, such a man says, without speaking, “Get past this if you can”.

Regardless all these things, it is to the Christian’s benefit to perceive his fellow Man as an errant blind soul (just like himself).  Certainly something worth thinking on.

From my own perspective, here is a small list of shills people use.

Politics
Religion
Social position
Tradition
Jokes
Rude behavior
Foul language
A pleasant countenance
Apathy
Social intelligence
Clothing
Makeup
Race
Creed
Exclusive clubs
Deviant behavior
Drugs and alcohol
All manner of things that can be bought

All these things mask the true Man.  Who is capable of perceiving past these things on a consistent basis?

15 You judge by human standards; I pass judgment on no one. 16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me.” (John 8)

My memory is renewed to consider that God in Christ alone is able to reach any soul.

Rot and Corruption

I have seen the body of an animal reduced to bones and fur within the space of two days, by the bugs along a stream.  That’s not a place where I’d choose to sleep the night.  You would be swarmed within the space of an hour.

As I consider this, I am put to remembrance of the souls of men.  The decay of a rotten soul draws the attention of many.  Yes, man is dead, even as he lives, if he refuses the life that God extends through Jesus.

Sleep in this world of destruction, if you have no will to notice the swarm which stands against you.  Or listen to the wisdom of God to turn away from those places where a man should not “sleep”.  Come away from the muddy, unpalatable and slow-moving water of lies.  Answer the call to climb the mountain of God which leads to the living place of rest.

16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21 But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”(John 3, ESV)

What is Sin?

Sin is “doing wrong”, whether in the mind or by the hands.  Sin is a living being, expressed by the individual.

I have spoken often about how sin disrupts the Righteousness of Eternity.  I have written of how the will of God is staved off by our disobedience called sin.  But Charles Spurgeon takes this concept one step farther than I had perceived.  You can find the entire audio of his sermon, “Thoughts on the Last Battle” at this link http://www.spurgeongems.org/messages/028chs.mp3.

Brother Spurgeon speaks of sin, as it is, past the sealing of the soul.  He asks, (in my own words) if sin destroyed the will of God while the man lived in this place of testing, what will it become when the soul is sealed in sin for eternity?  What will the “man” become when all the restraints of God’s beautiful Grace of the Holy Spirit’s influence is removed?  When the Holy Blood of Christ is no longer effective, when repentance is no longer an option; for the man is now sealed in the manner of soul he allowed God to create.

What then is sin?  Is it simply a game we play between ourselves?  Is it simply a futile expression of disruption in the Truth of God for Eternity?  Is it simply being a rebellious child who stands outside the door of God’s Holy Family?  Is it simply pleasure?  Or is sin a growing monster?

Will hell restrain the wickedness of wicked souls?  Do you think that you will live one slight moment in hell with a smile on your face?  You will be frustrated beyond description.  You will find desire consuming you.  Yet there will be no more avenue to disturb the Holy Will of the Living God or His Holy and Righteous Christ.  You will no longer have a body to command.  You will be only an essence of SIN.  You will be a distilled form of desire, with no possibility of expression or gain.

If God had not designed hell to be obliterated, there would be eternity to suffer within an indescribable torment of desire.  But ask yourself this:  How long will the Living God allow the display of tormented, wicked, desire ridden, useless souls to remain?  Even if He allows the display to remain for the sake of reminder to His Holy People, there is a place where even the display will be done away with.

Not only will those multitude of souls be in agony of frustrated desire.  They will face the prospect of eternal extinction.  And they will know it for certain.  For in their consignment to hell, they will have, no doubt, been told that death must join them.  When death arrives, “Nothing” becomes.

Is that what you want to be?  When your moment of transfer from “life” to the grave comes upon you, is that what you want for your hope?  Pleasure calls now.  But do you think you’ll love pleasure as dearly when there is no longer any means to employ it?

The offer of transformation remains, only as long as a man is in this place of testing.  Only while we are in the flesh of this body, is the Holy Blood of Jesus of any effect.  He calls all men to take from His Holy hand the things of Grace.  But when our hands are no longer able to hold anything, what is Grace to us then?

Jesus stands ready and willing to embrace any man in the Righteous Way of Christianity.  But who will consider these things and live?

Addition:

I have wondered why, in the story of the Rich man and Lazarus, Abraham sat on a hill overlooking Hell.  Can it be that Abraham and Lazarus were learning about the prospects of God’s Holy Promise to eternally punish the wicked?  (Luke 16: 19-31)

And I am reminded of the words of Christ Jesus, 9 “A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: ‘If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives its mark on their forehead or on their hand, 10 they, too, will drink the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. They will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment will rise for ever and ever. There will be no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and its image, or for anyone who receives the mark of its name.” 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus. (Revelation 14)

Let us wake up to the reality of the Gospel’s power.  The promise of eternal life is TRUE!  The promise of eternal torment is TRUE!  Which will each man choose?  We all, every man, know.

“Happy Birthday”

My birthday approaches.  But no man will help me celebrate.  No one will notice, for I am not one day older.  They will not perceive my age by white hair or wrinkles.  And few will perceive my age by the words I speak.  Yet the years of man have produced a different soul.

I am 61 years old in the flesh.  But I am about to become only 29 years old in the Lord.  The birthday of my flesh is the twentieth day of a summer month.  I was wise enough to write down the day of my baptism years ago.  The ink says January fifth of 1986.

Now a curious question comes to the front.  Are these years and dates really correct?  There is proof that my flesh came to breathe air on a certain day.  But what about my soul?

Shall I say I made a choice to become a Christian?  The word duress comes to mind.  For if I refused, death remained my only eternal belonging.  I can make absolutely no claim to righteousness before the Living God.  I am His because of His Holy Purposes.

And what of the tiny baby I became?  Who gave that babe a soul?  Who purposed His own desires?  Who provoked me to think like I have become to think?  Doesn’t the Bible tell us we are destined to appear because He determined our days?

What of this thought:  I purposed to become sin.  But He determined my day of eternal birth.  And there is yet a day of completion!  At that moment, I will not have a third birthday.  I will be ushered into an age of dayless eternity.  Who will remember his entry?  By what moment in dispelled time will such beings mark passing years?

For now, nights and days have marked the place I am.  But the day comes when there is no differing shadow.  To this I look forward with a peaceful anxiety.  Then, when the Age to Come appears, “happy birthday” will be a forgotten phrase.

Righteousness Silenced

There is a roar in those nations referred to as “advanced”.

A quaking of souls, massed together in humiliation,

Each one buzzes with desire.

Together a thunderous volume of hatred roars.

Against the Holy One they mummer.

For the love of sin they whisper their joy;

Now shouting with their unholy practice.

Do they think the din of unholy noise will not reach Heaven?

Adoring the parade of wicked desire.

Propriety is forced to hide;

That brilliant, lovely, gentle dressing of soul.

“Get away from us!  You have nothing to offer anymore.”

So they turn to perfumes to hide the stench.

They turn to guilded eyes to hide the darkness within.

Rich clothing, consuming of wages gained,

Adorning rotting bodies.

“Propriety is dead!  ‘Proper living’ is useless.

We will celebrate gain!  This we will elevate to holy worship.”

Chaos fills the desire of man.

Unholy things fill his unholy temples.

While the body rises to the strength of proud legs,

His soul slithers on the ground.

As the sharpened blade glints in the sunlight,

So his practices, unholy, glint in the Majesty of God.

As the blade sinks deep to cut off life,

So the practices of unholy men rest on their breast bone.

A tiny shove and life is over.

Let surprise show on their faces.

Let the Holy Lord of Life press truth against the handle.

Let temptation, enticing, lies, and desire,

Be pressed away from Him.

Salvation is offered.

But the One who offers is relegated,

To the shadows of a darkened alley.

Who will dare approach?

Who will brave death to embrace Life?

The Holy One’s promises are eternally true.

One is for death.

The other is for Life.

Rise from your drunken stupor!

You die the Death unrestrained.

How will you stand on that Horrible day for sinners?

What strength will your legs of flesh find,

When He rises to judge?

So be it!

Let your soul slither on the ground!

It is in proper posture already.

For every knee will bow,

Every tongue will confess,

That Jesus, the Christ of God, is King,

Lord,

Master,

Glory,

Honor,

Righteousness,

Faithfulness,

And Truth.

Amen, Amen, Amen!
