Legs

It was the legs of men that carried them to a great assembly.  There they violently required the crucifixion of God’s Holy One.

It was the legs of men that carried them to the place of crucifixion.  There they hated him with utter contempt and violence.

It was the legs of men that carried them to their home while Jesus was delivered to the grave.  Those same legs carried them all their days, until they too went to the grave.

Your legs have carried you to this day!  Will they carry you into holy faith?  Or will you command your legs to take you to the place of unbelief; where you will certainly join those who railed at the mutilated flesh of God’s holy son?

This is the day to beg for mercy.  You are not promised tomorrow.

This is the day to serve the Living God with holy legs of faith in his promise.

Where are your legs taking you now?  Where will your legs find themselves when the Holy One of God returns?

The Majestic Mystery

From Eternity, he was Faultless.

Restrained in body, just the Same.

And since death had no claim upon him,

He bid it, “Have free reign”.

“IT IS FINISHED!”
——————–
Eternal Majesty, robed in flesh.

The Majesty of God, walked among us.

And as he hung up on the cross,

Majesty was willingly clothed with oblivion.

“And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.”
———————————–
The Christ of God is risen from the dead!

He is seated forever at the right hand of the Most High God!

Let all the world hear the proclamation!

To those who know:

Do not seal it up!

The Christ is God forever!

“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15)

By His Grace

We Love?

The Love of God radiates out.
He does not need anything.

All creation, in heaven and earth, receives.   We who have nothing to offer back. Even what we do is expected service.

Shall we return love?  It is already diluted, for He gave freely from His generous heart.  But we return only that which is left over.

God sustains all.  Even the grave’s foundation rests on a place He built and knows.  Hell is sustained by His Holy consuming Flame.  All life belongs to Him.  What belongs to man?

Sin? Does rebellion belong to man?  Isn’t rebellion simply a physical admition that love does not belong to us?  What belongs to man?

Does God need our praise to be God?  Does He die if we are not thankful?   But we are born needy.  The first breath is of air He sustains.  The last breath releases to go to another place He sustains.  Is God ever lessened by man?

But our thankfulness makes Him more.  His Holy Kingdom expands as another returns in faith.  Love from man may be of duress, but something is made better by He who is everything.
