Satan Smiles

(I apologize for giving a S in the title. Literary law requires it, or I would not have done it.)

It is said that the Liberals are aghast at the declaration of Mrs. Trump, that she is a practicing Catholic.

(This small article assumes that the report is accurate. Given the flavor of the day, I tend to think it is.)

I’m not gonna bother to go into a justifiable rant regarding their hypocrisy. Let me simply say this:

If you will come unglued at an honest declaration of religion from your First Lady, what will you do when the Holy Father unveils His Righteous and Holy Son on the day of your judgment. “There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Not only do they make no preparation for the inevitable, they deny it’s very existence and venomously despise any reference to it. Worshipping inclusion, they despise a singular truth.

This sounds to me exactly like I expect the demons to respond; adoring the darkness, they despise even a sliver of light among them. (and that’s all her decoration is folks, just a sliver of light in this vast coal dark world.)   Who then is driving their worship of “tolerance”?

The advice of God to such people is to drop your pride and humble yourself before Him that HE can give you eyes to see and ears to hear. For now, you are so engrossed in trivial nothingness that you cannot see the approaching devastation of your soul. You elevate nothing as if it is something. But “SOMETHING” is surely approaching.  When the Father speaks “the end”, the something will appear with nowhere to hide.

And I am amazed at how rare these words are in such a perverse society is this. Even the conservative pundits respond with trivial nothingness. They simply respond to a slap in the face by slapping the face of the attacker. Tell me, what is accomplished? (satan smiles)

This event is so foolish that even a fool like me can see it clearly. On the clock of eternity, what time is it?

By His Grace.

Just One

How big and bad does something vile need to be to destroy a righteous Man?

Like a single ant on a pebble in the Rocky Mountain Range.

What then is the state of affairs for a wicked man?

Will you really then continue in your way until you were called to give account of yourself to God? Really, will you let your mind relegate the Judgment to the category called religion (conveniently forgetting and pushing aside the things that matter most)?

If you stand condemned for the things that you have done in the past, why add to it by not listening to Him today?

The judgment of God does not sleep. The gospel does not go silent. And your life continues as you choose to make it.

The Judgment of God will be like an F-5000 tornado. There will be no place to hide. And there will be nothing left untouched.

Let those who decide to be vile, continue then to be vile. But let those who can hear, hear with sobriety.

Proud and Righteous

If a man walks out of this life proud, thinking he is righteous, he is a liar. Humiliation will take its pound of flesh.

We might fool others. And we may allow our imagination to fool ourselves. But you will not fool truth and purity.

We can play games in the dark. But the Light will shine straight through our souls. What we are, what we have done, and what we think about ourselves, will be utterly blatant.

Let’s be real. That moment of unveiling is only a few minutes away.  Gain humility by truth here and now, letting humiliation show our weaknesses, or be humiliated for eternity.

This is probably better said by 1 million other people. But it’s never so clearly spoken as when we hear it and obey.

Penniless for Eternity

What is mankind like?

He is like a tiny town nestled in the valley of the mountains.

He plants a vineyard and a crop is yielded.

He wakes, come the day of the harvest, and excitedly runs to reap his crop.

He gives no thanks or honor to God. His busy fingers rape the vine, making sure not to leave even a 10th on the ground.

He and his friends praise one another for the good work they have done. They think they have accomplished the meaning of their life.

Greatly pleased with their reward, they repeat these things over and over until they lay in the grave.

When their soul is wakened to give account, even then they are surprised.

Ever harvesting but never gaining. Ever diligent but the poorest of all creatures.

The Sum of Love

The prowess of the inkwell is on vacation. Tis the Sabbath of expected diligence.

The following article will not be dressed for the egg head ball; that certain gathering of literary elegance. I will not even bother to knock on the door of the seamstress. Considering the content, let this article be ugly.
__________

In my youth, we constantly moved from place to place. I don’t remember spending a full year in any one school. I was always the new kid. I was always the threshold for the wannabe bullies. No one knew me, no one cared, I was a walking target for hatred. No more than an unknown animal in society, I was prime to be abused.

My first 17 years of life taught me that there is no such thing as love. There was only social acceptance. But social acceptance took time that I never had.

I quickly learned that this is what men call love. I endured their hatred, despising, outcasting, and beatings because I knew there was no end in sight. Needless to say, I became a despicable human being.

I found that the love of man is based on competition. If you perform well, according to their expectations, they embrace you readily. But let a fault show and they are heartless pursuers. And I was full to overflowing with faults.

I saw the accepted ones make mistakes. But there seemed to be an unwritten code of tolerance. A “one off” is accepted as if a simple mistake. Yes they paid a price for their mistakes, but it was not terminal.

If you want to beat the bully, believe in Christ the Son of God. If you want to strip your life of the competition that men call love, believe in the love of God.

God is not a man that he should pit us against one another.

God is not a man that he should honor the strength of body and social position.

As you are willing to believe, the power of God becomes greater than any persecution.

Blessed is the man who endures because he believes. The man who does not believe endures all things as punishment. And to whatever extent a man believes so his perception of punishment is lessened. His perception of life’s difficulties is reduced.

Where there is a solution to a problem a man may be willing to wait patiently for it and endure the problem. Such endurance confounds those who live to hate. When they find they cannot break something, eventually they become bored and walk away.

Looking over your shoulder is no way to live at peace; always in fear of punishment.

Do we believe our problems are temporary or do we believe they are the end of us?

Consider what Jesus has told us.

Cutting the Difference

Christmas is coming.  Many will now turn to a false religion.  From their daily life of caring nothing for the things of God, they will now act as though the gospel belongs to them.  They will quote a portion of Scripture that says, “Peace on earth and goodwill to men”.

Smiles on peoples faces, music of God will fill the air, and winter will force a certain diminishing of wickedness.  Ungodly behavior is but a seed planted in late fall.  A treasure of the wicked waiting to sprout in spring.

Christmas is a time of year when the word of Jesus gets passed around rather fluidly.  But what about the other 11 months of the year?

Consider these tidbits  from the Bible.

1 Peter 4:
17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And,

“If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,
what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?”

Proverbs:
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life,
and the one who is wise saves lives.
31 If the righteous receive their due on earth,
how much more the ungodly and the sinner!

Luke 2:
13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,

14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,
and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

2 Timothy:
19 Nevertheless, God’s solid foundation stands firm, sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.”
