“He allowed no one to oppress them;
    for their sake he rebuked kings:
Do not touch my anointed ones;
    do my prophets no harm.” (1 Chronicles 16: 22)

The Glory of the Lord has gone out as a testimony through His people.  But who, among the world, has listened?  Who, among his people, has believed?

The world does not perceive the Holy power of God among men.  And so they continue in their way.

They hate God, for they perceive he interrupts their joy and ambition.  They cannot touch him so they reach out to his people.

In the past God has reached out to such men.  First to warn them.  Then to restrain them.  Finally to destroy them.

The promises of God are sure.  And all his judgments are righteous and lasting.  The Holy One is the same yesterday, today and forever.

While patient endurance escapes those who hate the Lord, they are brought back to sanity by the power of His Holy hand.  As it was in centuries past so it shall be forever.

But who among men is wise to perceive what is?  They attribute misfortune to the chaotic ways of this world.  They do not perceive what is, as it might come from the Living God.

This is of their willing blindness.  This is of their stubborn rebellion.  They are blinded in their unholy desire.

Come then, and continue on with what you will not cease.  Despise, ridicule and litigate against the Lord’s people.  He is strong enough to cause all men endurance; the evil endure in their evil ways.  While the righteous endure with holy perseverance.

His promise is true for those who diligently seek His face.  His promise is also true against those who hate him and despise his rule over them.

Come then, and continue on with what you will not cease.  If you love him, then continue.  If you hate him, then by all means, continue.  Both groups will see the end of God’s Just response.

The Fabric of Life

Once a word is spoken, it is impossible to take it back.  The one who spoken it has ripped the fabric of life and placed his speech among the things that are.

Once an action is done, it is impossible to take it back.  It has ripped the fabric of Life and placed itself among the things that are.

So it is with sin.  So it is with righteousness.  It is delusional to think otherwise.

There is a place where God will sweep the fabric of life.  By His Holy will, he will clean all that is.  From that moment to eternity, wickedness will appear no more to rip the fabric of life.

Only righteousness will add itself to the fabric.  And life will prosper beyond the bounds of man’s imagination.

What is not God, will be done away with.  Though one may ponder and search for it, it will not be found.  This too will affect the fabric of life.  And it will be known throughout eternity that God has done this; by the strength of his Holy Son’s faithfulness, God has done this.

At that time an age will have come, and that age will have passed.  To which age do you desire to belong?

Shall you be of those who are swept away?  Or shall you be of those who eternally praise God for His strength and righteousness?  Will you be among the eternally dead or among the eternally living?

Do not be foolish and answer with what is obvious.  Any sane man can say he chooses what is best.  Rather understand these things and become.

The mercy in God’s Holy sweeping of the fabric of life, is toward those who love his ways.  His eyes of love are in his hand as he sweeps away all that kills, divides, hates, and detracts.  None will escape.  He will protect his own with frothing vengeance.

Jesus has provided the refuge for any who will come and take the promise of God that has been written eternally in His Holy Blood.  But who is wise among men that he will consider these things and forsake his wickedness?  Who will prove he desires to remain?  Who will forsake wickedness that he may live?

Warnings vs The Power of God

Christians are warned, all day long, to abstain from a variety of worldly delights.   “Don’t watch questionable movies.  Don’t listen to ungodly music.  Don’t read the books printed by godless souls.  Don’t dress to entice or to display your wealth.  Don’t purchase necessities that are ornamented to promote your position in life.  Watch your tongue, lest you speak filthy words.  Love everyone with a godly love.”  On and on it goes.  Warnings are spouted day and night.  And even I have warned against many such things.

But do the warnings work?  Or do they do more harm than good?

Take a look at the members of your church.  Consider those you know who profess themselves to be Christian.  I’m not asking you to judge them.  I’m asking you to assess the viability of warnings.  Do you see holy living appear in most professing Christians?

There is a distinct difference between obeying the words of another, and becoming obedient yourself.  If you are doing simply because someone told you to do, you are falling short of the possible height to which God can raise you.

Those who warn you are doing so from two possible sources.  Either they have heard or read that such warnings are useful.  Or they have come to understand the Christian life personally.

To read about the life of a saint is a good thing.  But to use the writings to create your own Christianity is not a good thing.  “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builder builds in vain.”  Don’t only emulate what is good.  Come to know the Living God through Christ Jesus yourself.  Then you will begin to see His Holy hand create the things of Christ within you.

When He is your God (and you cease from allowing the understanding of others be the power of God within you) you will see a transformed life that requires no work from you.  For now, you work hard to remember how to act and do righteousness.  But when the power of the Spirit dresses your soul, your heart becomes transformed to emulate the Living God.

Warnings no longer apply to you.  Now you see possibilities.  Your mind is freed from concentration on the words and lives of others.  Now you become one of those whose life can be an example of all that is holy among men.
