A Reasonable Response

When is the last time you read Exodus chapter 19 through 23?   It speaks about the law that God gave to his people.

I know it is said that Christians are not under the law but that they are under the grace of God in Christ Jesus.  But is it enough to be saved.  In all good conscience can you simply receive and give nothing?

If we don’t read the account of God’s desire how can we know what gives him pleasure?

Questions and Answers

Where was God?

I could not post this comment on your site.  But I will not let what you said go unanswered.

You ask questions.  I will ask you a question.  Where are those who died?

You speak with the mind of a man.  What do you know about the power or the mind of God?

Should God be all excited because a few bodies we’re reaped from the vineyard of mankind?  You do not consider, and you make no mention, that over a hundred thousand people die every day from various difficulties.

Where is the volume of souls?  Who owned them while they lived?  Who owns them now where they are?  Who owns you, and will exact your prompt presence when the time is right?

Construct of World Change

The world will use the Gospel of Christ as a rule of righteousness and social change.  The people of the Lord Jesus know better.

God does not save his people to be instruments of world change.  God saves his people that they may become instruments of Heaven.  The changes that are made, because of the Christian’s presence in this world, are simply a byproduct.  As we are transformed to serve the Living God in Christ, our thoughts, words, and actions necessarily influence those around us.

If you want to be a change agent in the world, for the sake of the world, then obey the constructs the world has already established.  If you want to be an ambassador of Christ to the world, you need to submit your life completely to him.

There is a distinct difference.  The world cannot see it.  But God’s people know it, very clearly.

The Proper Use of Greed and Jealousy

“You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.” (John 8: 19)

God’s people speak of heavenly things.  And when they speak so, they speak of things the world is not able to understand.

Just before the Lord spoke the words cited above, he said this:  “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Therefore as you follow the living God in Christ, do not be surprised that you are not received or understood.   But as we speak what is true and faultless, let their lack of understanding be a source of joy.

We strive to interpret for their benefit.  But understanding must come from the Holy Father.  If anyone wants to understand, let him humble himself before the Living God and ask for wisdom.

We are adopted into a foreign land.  But they remain natives of this place of testing.  We speak the language of the land into which we are adopted.  Let us boldly speak according to the will of God.  Allow God’s power to be displayed in our speech.

We were once native of this place also.  In this, to some extent, we are bilingual.  But our allegiance must be first to the One who calls us home.  It is not profitable to rejoin the rebellious that we may draw them out.

They speak in the vulgarities of rebellion, and to this alone they understand.  But remember we are cautioned that “it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret”. (Ephesians 5: 12)

Display the beauty that you have received.  Let greed and jealousy do its proper work.

OPEN!

Open, O’ will of mine.  Open to the Will of God!  Sleep no more.  Wake and open.

Receive those things He is so desirous to grant.  Open and receive.

Leave these things of abomination!  Seek the face of He who Lives Forever!

Stop!  Turn.  He calls your name.

Will you listen, O’ soul of mine?  Will you hear His Holy words and do them?

If not, answer me!  Tell me why you refuse.  What restrains you?

He offers life!  Why do you balk?

Open, O’ will of mine!  Open to the Holy Will of God!

Rise Up!

In the hand of God most high, through the never ending strength of Christ, there are blessings.  His perfect will is laid out before him and he knows the extent.

To the salvation of men his will is bent.  The blood of his Son has sealed it.

He has called to men by the work of the cross.  Yet who has believed his words?

Who will rise up and use what has been given?  Who is willing to receive the fullness of God’s wise gift of faith?

Who we will be, at the revealing of his Holy Son, is yet to be seen.  But there is testimony among men as to what we can be now.

Who then will take what God offers?  Who will reach to his Holy hand to become?

We say we believe the message of the gospel.  But the weakness within us stops our feet at a certain place.  The darkness before us looms with ominous trouble.  So we cease our search for his will.

We say, “I dare not go further for I do not know the way.”  But has God not promised to lead us?

Each man stands where he does by the sum of what he has been.  But God calls us to be his desire.

This challenge goes out to all.  Who will take what God offers, by Holy wisdom, to all his servants?

Do you fear he will ask too much?  Do you fear he will not provide once you begin?  Of course you don’t.

That was the accusation against God by he who accuses, and you know you are not of his house.

Then be encouraged!  Be greatly encouraged!  For every drop of Holy Blood was the sealed promise of the Most High God!  We have been told, and come to believe, God cannot lie.
