Jesus Loves the Homosexual Lifestyle, Right?

A curious hole in the testimony of some homosexuals I’ve talked to has appeared.  It seems they think their lifestyle is “OK” with God.  Can someone tell me then why it’s not “OK” to hand out Bibles at one of their rallies?

“Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.”  (John 3: 20)

P. S.

You people who are promoting your own agenda in the world, tell us that God loves you and your agenda, yet run from the Bible anytime it is poked in your face:

Here.  Why don’t you do this:  Begin to read the Bible for what it contains.  Then turn and promote the agenda of God in Christ Jesus (even when it runs right up your proud backbone).

You see, we Christians do just that.  We don’t claim to be holy or righteous.  We promote the agenda of Jesus regardless how it offends our sense of pride.  And when it stands against our sins, it is we who cave.  The Lord won’t stand for anyone who uses his own agenda to promote sin.

In case you didn’t get my point:  Go ahead, keep your life of sin going.  But add to it the Word of God.  In time, I promise you, your agenda will diminish and the Holiness of God will begin to enter.  Keep up your charade, however, (of being God loving sinners) and you will be horribly ashamed and surprised when you stand before Him face to face.

You love the Bible when it says “God loves you.”  But you hate to read about how no immoral or sexually perverse person will ever enter eternal life.  You rave that you deserve recognition because you’re a minority.  Did you ever stop to think that murders are a minority also?  Did you give thought to why that is?  It’s because most people understand that immoral behavior does not receive the love of God.  They are the majority.  You are the minority.  hmmmmmm

So bring the Bible before your face.  Go ahead and read the things that please you.  Then, just for kicks, read a little more.  It will scar your conscience.  Isn’t that what you’re running from when you don’t want the Bible in your wicked rallies?

North Carolina’s Glory

There is a group of people who will be very disappointed at this entry.  They will quickly see that I really don’t care what they think.

What does it say about America when the leader of our nation is not pleased at the implementation of the people’s vote?  North Carolina voted to respect marriage as meaning between a man and a woman.  Tisk tisk, Mr President.  You are, yourself, an elected official (something you broadcast rather loudly when you wish to commend yourself).  But you are quite displeased when the people speak against your wishes.

I see this vote as saying two things.  This vote tells me that there are still a number of people in America who uphold the basic truths of God’s rule among men.  And this also tells me that we are being led by someone who couldn’t care less about the basic things of God’s rule among men.

This is all I intend to say about this.

National Day of Prayer

National Day of Prayer

I marvel at Jonah, a very curious prophet of The Living God.  What was his complaint as God sent him to Nineveh?  He knew that God would relent on His proclamation to destroy the city in forty days.  Jonah knew that God would warn them.  He also knew that God would provide them with the insight to repent and turn from the evil they held so dearly.

I recently wrote a short article about the National Day of Prayer.  God had me take it down.  I heard from Him that I did not understand Him in His ways, as I wrote about what destruction is about to fall on this nation.  And I confess that I still don’t completely understand the reason for taking that article down.  Regardless, it is taken down at His command.

In a fashion, I went to Nineveh with that article.  In a fashion, I preached the truth of the coming destruction for all the world’s wicked ways.  But the word of warning will not be heard as it was written.  Does this remove the prospect of destruction?  No.  It removes the urgency of sureness that the article pronounced.

At this point I understand the reason for taking the post down.  The message of destruction is true.  Do not mistake God’s patience and mercy for a licence to continue in wickedness.  But He will wait to see how His people pray.  He will wait to see how the world responds around them.  And He will make a decision regarding America based on what comes to be from His people.

We have tasted the bitterness of a lawless ruler.  We now see clearly what the promise of “hope and change” can bring from a man who does not love the Lord Jesus, thus God the Father.  America is awaking from a deep sleep.  And God will wait to hear what they have to say for themselves and those who surround them with wickedness.

May Your Holy Will be done forever, O’ Father of Jesus.  Your mercy and compassion extend to the ends of the earth, as you look upon a people who do not know their left hand from the right.  As it was for Nineveh, so shall it be for America.  If they listen to You words and repent of their evil ways, You will relent, for a time, the destruction You had set in motion.  We beg Your mercy for the sake of Your Name.  That many wicked will have their eyes open and perceive the end of their wickedness.  By Your Grace.  Amen.

No Corruption

Socrates was charged and put to death for corruption of the youth.  Apparently he incited them to contempt of leadership by his words against unjust laws and rulers.  With amazement I have to say, “What did he do but point out the obvious?”

If a leader is worthy of contempt what is the harm in pointing it out?  It is not a charge that should be laid against the one who speaks.  It is a charge against the corrupt leader.  The one who speaks is only pointing out what is well known and true.  It is the

obligation of the corrupt leader to change his ways.

Yet corruption often leads to power and influence.  So to point out the faults of those who attain power by means of corruption are likely to wield that power against truth sayers.  My reply is, “What is that to me?  I’m going to die anyway.  Let them come and assail me for telling the truth.  At least I will have done my duty.  That cannot be said of those who took oaths of truth and shed them as soon as they put the robe of office on their shoulders.”

I confess that I am so very frustrated at the lack of leadership from those who know better.  But hasn’t that been the case since the time of Adam?  The frustration is a shared cloak which all men of truth wear.  One thing comes to mind that bears saying.  If I were as I am and placed in a populous advantage I would not be alive today.  Here I am to speak out and I find a twinge of shame in that statement.

You who hold a place of leadership should be speaking out strongly against the corruption in leadership.  But you often resort to simply maintaining peace among the people under your charge.  You turn inward in hopes of establishing stability for those who will listen to you.  All the while the corruption grows to near riot right outside the walls of your sanctuary.  You teach them righteousness and peace while you make no attempt to shine a light on the corruption of this world.

You know who you are.  I know who I am.  Neither of us is the other.  And I do not judge you for what you are doing.  But will you judge me for pointing this out?

Too Much to Expect?

Where are the teachers of the Lord?  In this whirl wind of lies, deception, redefinition of words, abominations, immorality, idolatry, and chaos, where is the word of those who have lived within the will of God all their adult lives?  I’m looking for the wise among man who can lead others away from the brink of destruction.

Are we, as a nation, sealed now in the corruption of sin?  Is there no voice from the righteous people of God against these things?  Where is the concerted attack against media from the Christian community?  Where is the righteous word against lies?  Why does the Christian community, as a whole whisper like this?  While sin is consuming our nation, is there no one who will stand up like a pillar of fire and spout the truth?  Or have we become so comfortable in our little lives that we won’t step forward?

I know, and so do you, that anyone who raises his voice against the folly of this nation will be set on like a baby among hungry wolves.  What a precious opportunity to shine for the Lord.  I am a fool redeemed.  Where is the righteous man of Christ?

I am noticing something interesting.  There is a tool the political and religious liberals often use that goes a bit undetected.  Let me offer an illustration first.

Just before a game three of the players boasted loudly that their team would surely beat the opposition.  Because the other players were involved with them, and because of their apparent bravado, the bid from the three players incited the others to great joy.  Later, after the game, there was sorrow among all that team.  They had lost.

What is curious about that is how readily that kind of talk is support, encouraged, and demonstrated.  What’s even more curious is that in the political and religious arena the opposition is God.  Though they refer to Him under different terms: conservative, christian, etc..

Now we saw in the example that the players went out right away to face their opposition.  But in the political and religious arena, a man might make boasts all his life and never come to face his opponent, God.  People eat that kind of talk up because God remains silent for now.  However, the wise among us will remember that there is a place where God will speak.  Where will the bravado be then?
