Stings and Bites

I sit here this morning, marveling at the nature of the things of God.

His Holy Law is like a spiny reptile; those who desire to tame it will be stung by some unseen outcropping.

His Holy Gospel is like a wily snake; those who desire to manipulate one part will be bitten by the Truth, or stung by their pride.

All day long, the Lord makes straight those who desire to turn His Holy Way.  In one sense, he draws them into the Way.  In another, he seals their fate along the broad path.

He who desires to be presentable to the Most High God, by means of obedience to the whole Holy law, will also find himself dismayed at the Judgment.

And those who turn to God with humble heart will be like a tiny child rescued from the hands of a murderous thug.

Beware the Wisdom of the Most High God to save.  It is written, “Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.” (Psalm 2: 12)

The Fullness

The Wisdom of God among men is that they should have faith.  The miracle among men, from God, is that there are many who do have faith.  The Faith from God believes (with a certainty) that Jesus is the Christ of God.  The Faith from God among men believes that Jesus is risen from the dead, for death had nothing with which to hold him.  And The Faith does more than remember that history was made.  The Faith becomes the Love of God, which is the Holy Will of the Father in all creation.

Yet Love does not appear without dressings.  Fear of God, knowledge of the Holy Word he sustains among us, right assessment of the fruit of men, and that specific “doing” that comes only from the power of the Holy Spirit among and within us.  With the appearance of these things within us, we can define the Love of God.  Yet our definition of the Love of God is limited to the wisdom of God to send his knowledge among men.

There is a fullness in heaven, regarding what is revealed of the nature of God.  There is a fullness on earth, regarding what is revealed of the nature of God.  In heaven, the fullness of revelation is embraced without question or reserve.  But on earth, the fullness of revelation of the Love of God is restricted by our willingness to believe to the “doing”.

Who, then, of men, are willing to throw off restriction?  Who, among men, are willing to embrace the fullness of God’s wisdom of revelation to Man?  Who, among men, finds the will to “Become”?

Silly Little Quibbling Lips

There is a frantic quibbling among frantic men.  Busy little lips accuse God of murder.

They cite the examples of Israel entering the promised land.  And oh how upset they are, that the peaceful little groups who lived there were viciously torn down.

And now they blame Israel.  “She has no right to exist, nor to defend herself!  She is a bloody blight to the human plight!

And now they blame God.  “He’s the one that put two trees in the garden!  He is the one who was first to shed blood!  He is the one who did not protect Able!  How dare he blame us for murder!

My silly friends of flesh.

How is it that you never look up?

You see the sky up there?

Go ahead,
Tear down the air.

But you complain to one
another with a lofty stare.

When the body is rent,

Where goes the soul?

If you know these things,

Speckle the sky!

When you do these things,

I’ll grant you applause.

Then I’ll say there is
Wisdom in your eye.

To the Youth

The righteous retain the right to speak.  But the wicked have forfeited their place among the people.

Blessed and at peace are the ones who obey the Living God; those who are trained from birth to do what is good and pure.  But woe to the wicked man who wakes to his wickedness; the one whose eyes have become open to all the wicked things he has done.  For that one will come to understand, yet he will not be accepted in the ears of the people.

Truth demands a voice.  And he who has truth will find himself compelled to speak.  But woe to such a man as he who has forfeited his right among the people.  A burning fire will consume his heart.  But he will have no place to stand and vent.  Though he knows the answers and can teach them well, no one will hear his words.

Listen to this, you young!  Before you let the folly of youth consume you, hear these words.  Remain dressed in what is good, so that the old man you will become may have a place to stand and speak.

Will you listen to this man?  He was once young just like you.  But in his embrace of wicked folly, he has lost his place among the people.  As truth has come upon him, his heart is changed, but too late.

You do not need to follow his example.  Seek the Lord Jesus and continue in his way all your days.  Then you will retain the right to speak among the people when wisdom has filled you.

Will you be warned?  Will the old man or the old woman you will become, be pleased with what you have done?  For you will certainly learn what is true and wise.  Desire will come up on you to speak.  But if you do not hear these words you will have no place of prominence.  And the wickedness you love so much will become a bitter taste in your mouth.

You will find yourself of value.  But you will be like a beautiful diamond, left in the desert, with no place to be displayed.

The Division

I doubt that it is possible for man to understand the things I am about to say.  For he will perceive through his own understanding.  And the understanding of man is filtered through greedy desire.

I do not mention greedy desire as a slur, but simply as a fact of his own nature.  For every man is born of severe limit.  Ignorance, death and sickness belong to him.  Wherever he perceives an individual who is overcoming these things, he desires with greed to have (or with his pride, to reject).

You want the love of God’s people.  You reject them because they do not love you as you love yourself.  In the weakness of your being, you think it abhorrent that anyone should love God’s ways more than they love you.

But you do not understand the differences in love.  We love you as a matter of mutual weakness.  For the things that plague you also plague us.  Ignorance, sickness and death cover all men.  So that the love we have for you is born of compassion.

But the love we have for the Living God’s Holy Son, is not filled with compassion!  He is endlessly wise, full of life, power beyond the wildest imagination of man, and eternal.  Our love for Him is full of awe, reverence, worship, thanks and praise.  How is it possible for us to give you this same love?

We serve you with the compassion that is born from our love for God.  But your pride gets in the way.  You don’t want to be thought of as weak.  You don’t want pity, unless it comes dressed as excuse.

There is so much more to say regarding this.  But let this stand as it is.  Those who will ponder these things may well find understanding.  For in their pondering, they may turn to God to understand.

Do not think we chide you because we hate you.  We hate the weakness that was ours.  As long as that weakness still dresses you, you receive the hatred of those who love God.  Yet even in our hatred for the things that cover you, you receive our compassion.  Even as our own weakness has received the compassion of God.

Yet with compassion, we deliver you the message of God.  Boldly, we deliver you the messages of warning.  Boldly, we speak to tear down the things you currently love.  We make fun of what you think is sincere.  For there is no life in the ways of man.

We know you will not accept our word as long as you are dressed in pride.  For you consider us rebellious.  We were once of you.  And now you can’t understand why we have turned against you.  But the compassion of God within us, drives us forward to speak, regardless your response.

You are urged to come and be with us.  Not a single man who loves the Living God in Christ Jesus, desires this division to remain.  What holds you back is not our hatred for the things that now cover you; as if we are snobish and proud.  What hold you back is your own weakness in pride.

Only the Living God will reveal these things, and this through his most excellent wisdom.  The weakness of flesh and blood cannot enter the kingdom of God.  Only those things born of the Holy Spirit of God may enter the kingdom of heaven.  You cannot join us without the humility of Christ covering you.  You cannot truly love us unless your sins are forgiven.

May the Living God, the Holy Father of Christ Jesus, His Holy and Righteous Son, have mercy to wisely open the eyes of all who read this.

Define “Us”

Who are we, that we should have the Holy things of the Living God in Christ Jesus?

Who, indeed, are we?

We live in the very place where The Living God has tested His Holy Son.

Who are we?

He has given us His Holy Spirit, that we may “become”.

Who are we?

This same testing is upon us.

Who are we?

For His Majesty alone we dance before Him among wickedness profuse.

Who are we?

We are drawn out of chaos, set before His Holy face, and bid to walk like men.

Who are we?

We are promised eternal life, exclusively for His Majestic purpose from eternity.

Who are we?

Let any of us answer, it will be full of fault.  Who are we to speak of such things?

Who are we?

Yet the power of the Eternal Living God lives in us, even the very Christ of God!

Who are we?

We are given to rise up as one, in He who is One.

That is who we are.

Describe this, it is impossible.

Yet as surely as the Living God’s Christ is given all things, so we are.

We are His Holy promise!

We are His Holy will in this place of testing.

We are bound tward His Holy promised eternity.

That is who we are.

How many of us will rise to embrace the things we are?

His wisdom stretches out to perform His Holy will among us.

Who will reach out to take His wise limit for this day’s work?

May the coming night of this day testify what we have become.

That will mark who we are; as far as our tiny minds can comprehend.

I could go on for days like this, writing the questions.

Yet, how shall that do any “Good”?

I must go and do the will of the Living God in Christ, His Holy Son.

Let us go then and prove by faithful doing who we are.

May the will of God be done among all His chosen people.

He alone has chosen all of us, by His Holy Wisdom.

That is who we are.
