I appreciate the definition you provide here of holiness being a separateness from sin. Yet, isn’t it great to know that as much as this is something we can never know completely until heaven, God is still working in us, His workmanship, to glorify Himself? Christ, let me grow in the grace of Your death and resurrection that I might give my heart fully to the work of Your Spirit’s work renewal and transformation; let me not conform to the beliefs and behavior honored in this world (Romans 12:1-2).

Very true. God commands us to be holy just as He is holy, but that is something which we must grow into. And this growth will continue through the entire life of a believer. But we must be open to listen to God when He tells us to separate ourselves from things which are harmful.
